And how did we ever miss Yoshi's Island on the SNES, the greatest platformer on the SNES and 2nd best of the 16 bit era (Sonic 2).

Yoshi's Island was defenitely the greatest platform game on the SNES . . .  but below Sonic 2? Sorry I have to disagree.

Either way, yes YI will be another must purchase on the VC.

The only thread I have problems with is the pokemon friend code thread.

I have to backtrack 4 pages or so to even see the posts, the rest are just blank pages.

You just opened up a big can of worms.

How big would said can of worms be? Should I be taking precautions such as arming myself or hoarding canned goods for the ensuing apocalypse?

Really, how is that statement controversial? Would you say that it is impossible for something to be funny if it were stupid? If so I would like to know what you find funny, as at least some level of stupidity in some form or another is present in nearly all comedy.

Oh you misunderstood me haha. I'm just issuing a fair warning about Evan is all

My point is Spak Spang for all the stupid hype around this game . . . it didn't show off anything super amazing to me. Yes the graphics look awesome but the AI just comes off as dumb. The demo should have showcased just how essential all these new technological skills are to your survival.

Not "Stand in the corner and a guy wont see you!". Woopie de doo.

Like Super Mario 64, Wave Race 64 was also re-released in Japan in July of 1997 as Shindou Wave Race 64. This re-release took advantage of the Rumble Pak accessory.

A fan asked the panelists if Peter Parker would use mechanical webshooter of his own invention, like in the original comics, or the organic webshooters he has in the films. Kyle then asked the crowd, "Who wants webshooters?" Almost the entire audience clapped and cheered, and Kyle said, "You win! I'm serious. It's webshooters." Weisman nodded, saying, "We're starting out with classic Peter Parker, and he's got his classic webshooters."

Ok it's on the right track . . .

Reading this from IGN actually gives me hopes for the series.

I'll agree with the whole price point thing.

Game can be fun but is it 50 dollars fun? Alien Syndrome doesn't seem like a game worth purchasing. Renting maybe but not purchasing.

Just my take on it.

Svevan can't enjoy anything without over analyzing it to death. CONFIRMED.

I thought it was one of the better films of the year as well Mr.Jack.

Because of that, I just don't really have the heart for anything that has to do with The Simpsons these days. Unless it's watching the episodes from the first 9 Seasons because I still love those.

If it helps at all, a lot of the shows original writers/ best writers came back to do the movie. Which is the only explanation I can give as to why it was actually funny as opposed to the new stuff.

Futurama big screen movie next please!

So I just got back from the Simpsons movie. I went in not thinking it was going to be all that funny. I'll admit, I used to love the show but after a certain point the writers and stuff just made it not that funny.

Well let me tell you, I have never been so glad that I was wrong. Holy crap what a funny movie!

The dream team (of writers) is back and they made the Simpsons funny again. I honestly thought the Simpsons had run their course, that their days of hilarity was over but no, it was a non-stop laugh fest of a movie.

Well worth the admission price, I highly recommend it to anyone. Even my sister left the film saying "I never found the show funny but this was really good!".

So yeah go out and see it asap =)

I won't spoil anything but sit through some of the credits for a little something at the end

The only transition I'd say developers got right was jumping from the PSX to the PS2, and again that's really only because it had a year lead time.

::sighs:: Poor Dreamcast (came out before PS2, didn't even matter though poor thing died the second PS2 launched, insta console death).

Me: "Wait . . . he's just standing in the corner with his back turned how is that blending?"

MGS People: "And see the guard doesn't notice him! Just like it would happen in real life!"

I refuse to play God of War because of the pointless sex crap in it.

The original God of War is at least worth a rental. It's a really good game and one of the few games I actually found myself having fun with on the PS2.

« on: July 27, 2007, 07:33:47 AM »
Thankfully the ESRB has approved Super Mario RPG already with a rating for the VC so it's just a matter of time before it comes out.

I figured Nintendo wouldn't have a problem with releasing it on VC, kinda like how even though Rare was responsible for DKC and yet we got those games with relative ease.

Oh forget it. Square isn't putting anything on VC as long as they can get people to still buy the games for 30-50 bucks with a re-release.

(Which sucks cause I wanna see games like Chrono Trigger come out on VC already).

According to the latest rumors section of Electronic Gaming Monthly, Square-Enix will be bringing more remakes to Nintendo DS.

However, instead of bringing more Final Fantasy titles to the handheld, the company is switching focus to remaking games from the Dragon Quest series.

Whoever had the good sense to get in right before E3 '06 with enough cash could probably retire early now (I don't have that kinda money, just stuff I've saved up/gifts/etc.)

Yeah I think the same thing about apple stock a number of years ago. I knew they were going to rebound but I just was 1) too young to even play the stock-market and 2) Lacked any money to give someone to play the market for me.

Le sigh, all that potential money gain gone.
