Isn't it already selling extremely well and showing them just that?

Hmm, I haven't heard any little kids yet.  With GOW it's like every other person is ten years old though.  Usually they put my cussing quotient to shame as well.

I played some last night with a friend from another board, and without his help I would still have no idea what I was doing.  Once I got the hang of it however, I started to have some fun.  I've also noticed a severe lack of communication during games.  It's like the amount of players online is so large that no one feels comfortable talking to all of those strangers or something.  Very different to Gears Of War where with only four to a team everyone is relaying instructions/requests back and forth.

I'm UltraMav on PSN if anyone wants to play.

Well, I've already sucked the fun out of the experience, so now it's time to bitch!

I don't think so GP.  It just seems like you take very little damage throughout the game when you get hit, and that you can kill most enemies rather quickly.  I don't think it has to do with my experience from the previous Prime games.

One of my best friends is always commenting on how cheap our favorite hobby is compared to others, such as sports, road trips, binge drinking, etc...  Do you agree?

It seems with this generations expensive consoles, and the fact that I've always been a "Buy All Systems" sorta guy, I'm not sure if I can agree anymore.  With games bumped up 10 bucks from last gen (excepting Wii games of course), it seems like in order to "catch 'em all" I'll be spending much more than "normal" people who do things outside with their friends.  I mean, just buying all three consoles when I did adds up to $1050, let alone addons for my 360 to make it usable (hard drive, wireless controllers, headset), and then buying new games regularly, I've stretched my financial well-being quite far over the past two years.

Is my friend right, however?  Do most people only stick to one console and buy a game every few months or so?  Just wondering what everyones' thoughts are on this.

I agree that Normal was too easy.  I haven't played Veteran, but people are comparing it to MP2's difficulty.  I thought the amount of damage you could take/deal out was pretty well balanced in MP2, the reason I found the game frustrating was that I got frustrated and bored with the map and backtracking a lot, which was not the case at all with MP3.

Then again, I always play through a new game the first time on its "normal" or "medium" difficulty.  I enjoy games for their story/plot the most, so I play through normal to get the story.  If I go back later and want more of a challenge, I amp it up on the play through.  Most of the time I'm content with normal difficulty, but with MP3 I might have to at least go back with Veteran.

I was actually kinda disappointed by the ending.  Maybe it's 'cause I didn't get 100%, I don't know.

If Microsoft was so sincere they wouldn't have sold me a product that only works when it feels like it.  :-P

I'm glad as well.  Veteran mode all the way.  This is no killer app.

Ya threw me off with this one... :-\

If they could get the capacity to at least 30gigs on the Touch, I'd probably pick one up.  Of course not until they dropped to at least $250 as well.  Seems like I'll be stickin' with my good ol' regular iPod for awhile longer.

Just got the game yesterday, and I too am blown away!  So far it's just been a blast!  I'm glad I toughed out playing through Prime 2 in order to enjoy this to its fullest.  I'm lovin' the actual cutscenes with voice acting, the interacting with panels.  The new controls really liven things up.  It took me a bit to get used to more "fps" controls, and actually having to aim at my targets, but now that I've got the hang of it I'm in heaven (although I still occasionally fall off cliffs 'cause I'm pressing the Z trigger instead of the B trigger :-P).

Awesome game and I can't wait to get off work and play some more!

Well, yeah, but I already have TP for GameCube and have no interest in Strikers.  I'm just saying, why don't they all fill the screen?  I at least expected it of Prime 3.  Just wasn't sure what the deal was.  Just devs not doing it?

Here's my own HDTV issue, how come the only game that runs in full 16:9 on my TV is Wii Sports?

Well I would recommend buying it online unless you really want the headset, for 39.99 I think it is worth it. Just expect a fun, yet limited experience.

Thanks.  Yeah I'm thinking I'll get the hard copy, as I do need a headset... but any Blue-Tooth headset works right?  I'll order it online if I can find another headset for cheaper I guess.

Ah, that's a shame, hopefully someone with it will see this thread.

Actually, Hobbes defection in WC 3 was more thoroughly explained in scenes that were cut from the final game's release.  He had been a plant since his defection to Confed and was simply awaiting his "trigger" to switch back into "GLORY TO KILRAH!" mode.  He didn't know this, mind you.  Some sort of psychological brain washy thing.  Unfortunately you only get the full story if you take the time to look up those deleted scenes.
