Nice, vote for a defenseless Aussie.  Great.  Let's all pinpoint players who haven't gotten a chance to defend themselves.

Where Khush and I saved you from being voted off.  Yep, nice payback...

He's at work, obviously.  Last time, except for on the weekend, he wouldn't show up until now or later.  Seriously.  You all vote Khush too easily.  It makes it any easy way for Mafia members to hide in a vote...

Well, the day is almost over, as far as we know, things will be done as soon as Patchkid decides, sometime after 9:00 PM.

I think that means most of our Aussie players will miss the first day, unfortunately.  I also think we're going to end up killing a townie roll if Kushrenada dies today.  I urge you to change your vote to someone else while you still can, even me, if you so choose.

Because Khush almost always gets killed, and last time, I helped save you, so I figured I'd do something reverse-karmalicious, and assume you're evil.

Uh, I mean....The scrolls have imparted this wisdom to me through encryption!  Your death is the only way to our salvation!

Edit:  Also, feel free to vote me out.  It doesn't really matter if I die, and if it means saving someone I think is a townie, I'll vote for myself, too.  However, just because you're on this list as a townie doesn't mean that I think you're a townie.

NWR Forums Discord / Mafia 17 role and event predictions!

The thread where you make your guesses on what will happen!

Earlier today, during my meditation and reflection time,  I became grief-stricken with what may be advance knowledge of who will play a part of our forthcoming apocalypse.  The gods have smitten me with a truth that could occur, and I took it upon myself to grace my followers with this information.

My visions:  Khush will live through the day vote, to be killed by the Mafia, who will discover he's Suicidal Bob.

The first one to lose out on the votes will be SUPER, a regular townie.

- TVman - Mad Scientist
- ShyGuy - Traitor
- Spak-Spang - Henchman
- Stevey - Mafia Investigator
- Sir_Stabbalot - Townie
- Vudu - Investigator
- Wandering - Godfather
- Khushrenada - Suicidal Bob
- Dasmos - Henchman
-18 Days - Doctor
- S-U-P-E-R - Townie
- Thatguy - *Secret Role* - Cult Leader

Of Course, all but one of those are guesses...

The first mafia rile gone will be a Henchman, in this case, Dasmos.

Wandering will claim this thread is a bad idea.

Sir_Stabbalot will be the most active poster in this thread.

The Doctor, 18 Days, will make one save this game.  He/She/It will almost have a second save, but die by the day vote, and therefore lose the ability to protect whoever he/she/it was planning to save.  This person will be hit that night.

Edit:  I culted up my predictions for fun.

I think they still do most of the time, though I haven't been for a few months, IIRC, almost every time, someone in there grabs it, but sometimes, no one is in there.

On a side note, my avatar is of a man who is second-in-command of a cult I know of.  Can anyone tell me the cult or man I have pictured?

So essentially, you will pay $100 dollars more for an overrated racer and 20 gigs?  That new SKU is obviously not worth it.  If you plan on getting a PS3 anytime soon, get the cheaper one, and if you need it, buy yourself an extra hard drive.

My fellow townsmen: It has come to my realization that we have been deceived!  There are criminals and unbelievers in our midst, and these impostors must be stopped!  Through divine right, I have been shown the truth!  Within 8 days, we shall experience the end of the world.  However, we will not be able to move on to a higher plane of living unless we cast out those who are criminals from our ranks.  We must search them out, and destroy them before they prevent them from eternal bliss and lead us to our doom.  My holy wisdom has illuminated that four of those among us are villains, so we have work to do!  Go out my brothers, and root out the evil.  Send your prayers (PMs) to me, and together, we shall overcome this adversity!  Also, our church needs a name!  The divine did not lead me to such a thing, so for unification purposes, I am open to all my friend's suggestions!  I wish you all a blessed manhunt and a wonderful last few days on Earth.

Actually, the multiplayer is great if player one offers to be a mage player.  If his goal is to get as far away from the enemies as possible, then he can effectively show everyone else what's going on.  Of course, this role is a little boring, though.

I thought it was multiplayer already.  I've never played it.

If I were you, I'd be a little concerned about Karaoke Revolution.  I've played it once, but It takes a few minutes to get the hang of.  Even if you have trained to hear pitch and can read music and all that, you'll need to get the hang of portraying pitches to initially arbitrary dots on the screen.

With Pac-Man, if it's the original, you should learn whatever tricks you can perform that get the ghosts to change directions.  I believe that is very helpful, though I never learned them myself.

With Puzzle Quest, I'd go to GFAQs and see if you can't get battle advice there.  Do you know which versions you'll be playing?  It could actually be the 360 version that's slated to be released.  I'd read up on it if I were you.

You know, I disagree somewhat.  If he's always contacted everyone on day one, he would definitely not try to throw off that bit, because he knows that makes him suspicious.  I just think he hasn't logged on yet.

un-Vote Stevey for starting this bit.  It always seems like mafia wants Khush to go right away, and after the last game, I think that he's one they'd want gone quickly.

Edit:  Black Winds, howling, etc.

So there are three regular townies this time...

Sounds like if everyone communicates well, it will be easy to determine the good roles, so we can eliminate the brains.

I don't believe this!  Nintendogamecube86 always talked about how much he loved his name.  Just because he hasn't been here since July 7th, sometime around 8:45AM whatever time I have the boards set to doesn't mean that he's switched things around.  I smell a scam.

Vote Stevey-Monday

Because I hate Mondays.

Oh, and is that three mafia roles, five townie roles, and four townies?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: The Pre-E3 expectations thread
« on: July 06, 2007, 11:41:18 AM »
Well, I have no expectations for E3 this year.  I haven't marked the dates on any calendar, and as far as I know, the net is excited, but I haven't figured out when it starts and end.  The best I can say is that I think it's next week.

I figure since E3 is new, I don't know what to expect, so I'm not going to make up expectations before the first neo-E3.  It makes little sense to.  We don't know what they're really planning to do with the time and space this year.

Popping in about my comment, you guys made the same point I did.  I said that the ESRB would work if you could find info about games in the newspaper, TV and things like that.  If the games received the wide-scale notoriety that movies did, people would understand a whole lot more about games, as well as what the ratings mean.  Newspapers review nearly every movie, and if they would review just one or two games a week, people would have greater understanding.

Now, when you consider that the ESRB works closely with virtually all retailers in the United States, I have to say that I think they had a hand in keeping these stores from selling Ao games.  There's a section in the FAQ on their website that makes me think this, maybe I'll find it and link to it.

No one said the game lacks online play.  As far as we know, it's going to have it.  Metroid Prime 3 was the game just announced not to have online play.
