Well I didn't play Half-life 2 until a year after it came out so the "delay" didn't effect me.

This game being connected to Killer 7 is only speculation, and besides it's not like you have to know about killer 7 to find out about this game.  I heard that there going to turn down the bloodshed and languege for this game so it appeals to more people.

2 things I must mention:

Nintendo promised it would be released Fall 2005. But suddenly, the game was delayed till March 2006 in order to add some more levels and polish the game even further. Months later, we learned that they had delayed the game once more in order to enhance it for Nintendo's new console.

24. Claiming Twilight Princess was delayed until April 2006:
This stems from a mistake based on a quote from an "official" spokesperson, as well as an "official" publication which lost all credibility in a single, swift stroke. First, Perrin Kaplan stated in the original delay announcement that Twilight Princess was pushed to 2006, and that it would not come out before March 31st, 2006. She said Nintendo would announce a release date sometime after that. Additionally, Club Nintendo, a pathetic attempt at an official Mexican Nintendo Magazine, published some "exclusive"interview with Reggie Fils-Aime that claimed Twilight Princess was coming out in April. This was the same interview that said a Zelda movie was coming out, which was untrue, and made several people, including myself, look stupid for reporting it. Even some people still think this interview is legit, such as Kotaku who reported on that fan film trailer and mentioned my update in their news item. This lie then spread like wild fire, and GameFAQs morons helped spread the damage. Thus, until April 2006 passed, fans still believed the game was coming out in April. Even after Miyamoto and Reggie confirmed it wouldn’t be out until Fall 2006.

April/March are basecly so close togther you can't say "i didn't say It would come out in april"

This caught many fans by surprise, as not only were they expecting the console to be around 200 dollars, the price of the controllers is too much for some.

well then it was everyones foult for beleving all the crap about it being 200, 215 or even the bull about it being 170. So you have no one to blame for that but yourselves.

maby 1 million isn't that far off if it's a good game and it fixes the flaws from killer 7.

remember that every sucessful seres started with a first game, (like metal gear solid, half-life, resident evil, and halo) it's possibel if it's fun enough it can sprout to be a big money maker.

yah, even the developers compared the story to gladiator.

The part where you shoot rabbits is called "rabbits can't shoot westerns" so maby rayman has to play a sherrif while rabbits pretend to be criminals.

Also when you say "random minigames" I ask: since when are sets of minigames not random?

You randomly go into these repetitive battles that neither tests your skills/reflex nor does it test your mental abilities.

in my opinion I'd say Baiten Kaitos tests thoes things but that's just me. (And I'm in LOVE with baiten Kaitos)
I must admit that being dated is a common problem for me when it comes to playing old nintndo games, I honestly can't see how someone can finish Metroid or the original Zelda without something pointing you in the right direction like a map.  But Super mario Brothers is still fun to play even today, which shows how ahead of it's time it was.  So lets just say the NES will be the system I'll download from the least when I get my Wii.

On another note, I was planning for this to be the first FF game I've played but if the writing is that horrable (I like an RPG with a good story which is why I love Baiten Kaitos so much) and the difficulty is unbalanced thn that's 30$ just added to my Wii fund.

Well in this game the stadium you play in acually effects the gameplay, also there are new people and you can have more than 1 sidekicks on your side.

It is'nt much but hey, online play was enough to make Halo two so popular.

No becouse the games for launch (mainly red steel) would get rushed at the end while if they have an extra month it could be an extra month of polishing the controls people never seem happy about.

Usualy GBA ports of console games just arn't the same as the console ports.  And the PS3/360  versions can't be platformers because that would mean they would have to make a compleatly new game.

Though it would be nice if they made a Wii game this is still good news.  I guess you can't have everything.

Unfortunetly for me the Wii has been taking my money with it's awsomeness, I don't know when it's going to be the next time I buy a DS game.

I'm glad that it's regin free, I wouldn't import games myself but I know a girl who's crazy about this japaneze Bleach game.  She says thaat she's going to make me get it for her birthday and then she's going to steal my Wii and play with it for hours on end.

Man that sounded sexual.

It was ment to be a platformer but when ubisoft got the dev kit they had so many ideas that hey felt a common platformer was too limiting.

I'm a bit nervous about you comments on the Dancing Rhythm Game, Close the Outhouse, and Cow Toss.  Are they still fun or do the bad outwegh the good.

And on a side note: the people behind this game are the ones behind Beond Good and Evil and King Kong (see licence game that doasn't suck)

IGN said the same thing happened to them about getting a strike very easely with just a slight movement.  They said they told a nintndo staff and they went to tell someone else so it's possible that tey'll fix that problem when it comes out.

hey, they've got about 2 months.

What is with you people?  It seems planet gamecube always has something to complain about.  If it's not about the Wii not having HD support then its about the name being unpopular, if it's not about the name being unpopular than it's about the Wii's price or release date, if it's not the release date or price it's about controls in Twilight princess sucking, when they fix the TP Wii controlls it's about the speaker on the controller.

Is it me or is always SOMETHING Nintendo's dong that they don't aprrove of.  It seems to me like none of you will ever be satifyed.  And that goes for the forum users too.

As I said, if I can, I'll try it, but what Im listening doesn't convince me to put $50 into this version.

well it won't be avalible for any other amount of cash.

This makes me happy to here, but It sounds aucword to move the camra with the joystk while aiming but I figure what your looking at will already be in vew.

I knew nintndo knew what it was doing when they made these controle changes, now the final blow to gannon will be 3 times as satifying.

Animal crossing would work well with it, maby even A mario sports game (didn't mario golf have human characters?)

See THIS kind of things is what the $250 is paying for, and people wouldn't be able to fully expereance it if it didn't come with Wii sports.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Single Response Wii Launch Opinion Thread

Since the topic about my rage was locked I'll post here.

Why dose it seem like everyone here on planet WHINEcube seems so upset about today's event. So many of you people are so disappointed it's crazy, and what hurts even more is that you don't have a real reason to complain so I'll give my 2 cence about the Launch announcements.

1. the price: Nintendo stated that the concol won't be higher than $250 so why is this so unexpected. Nintendo didn't break any proemeses, they gave you just what they said they would. Did you all already forget about the "599 US dollars PS3 deal?" And if your upset because it's only 50$ less than the Xbox 360 core model do you think anyone who really wants the xbox 360 will get the core model? Anyone who actually got it only did because there were out of the regular model.
Then you keep bitchen that it doesn't come with a second controller therefore it's a rip off but I say it doesn't matter, if you've been paying close attention not every game in wii sports has each person using there own controller. Games like bowling and golf have you pass the controller to one another so you can still play multiplayer. And about Wii sports being packedged with the system without letting you choose what game you want or not but remember: you haven't played the game yet. It seems there were no negative responses from the E3 demo and everyone walked away smiling, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!! It's something you have to experience for yorself to judge, gameplay videos don't cut it. One last thing about the price,I guess it's the media's fault for getting our hopes up at pricing the system at unreasonable prices like $150 or $170 but don't forget it's still the cheapest console on the market.

2.The controller price: What did you expect, obviously the controller is a lot more high tech then any other working controller so obviously it's going to cost more. And about the nunchuck being sold separately: not every game will use it, it's so we have a choice wether we want a Wiimote + Nunchuck or if we want the Wiimote by itself. It's the gift of choice. I will admit that this part of the argument is the weakest but I stand by the first sentence.

3. The launch titles: first everyone is SO happy that the Wii will have 30 launch titles and it mey mark the best launch in history. Then MP 3 gets delayed and suddenly everything else sucks. Have you already forgotten about LOZelda, red steel (which is shaping up great) Sonic ATSOTR, excite truck, Rayman, farcry, (inhale) splinter cell, dragon quest, a new and improved madden, Tony hawk and marvel UA (which had a lot of work put into the Wii version) <weezez> I'm sure there's more. The point is if Zelda has taught us anything it's that A delay makes a game better, you you should be happy about this.

I kow I must sound like a ranting fanboy but with all the complaints on this site from Zelda control to the the vertual concole prices, to lack of a showing at PAX, to lack of online support nt the beginning of the lounch cycle, to release date to IAN!!!!!!! I just couldn't stand not saying something.
