PS3 was front page news in our town, not the shrotages or anything, the loser, I mean entreperenuers who where only snatching themj up to resel on ebay was the big story.

I tried to get them on my site and its a long time coming, ok well its just a lotta crap I dont wanna do not as easy to sign up for as most websites liek amazon or google was.

Well My major point was the FF7 and Sonic X-treme deal. IF Ff7 hadf been N64 things WOULD have been differently. AS for sonic X-treme, thats debatable as Saturn had MANY more flaws and screw ups than there is room in a Discussion forum to list.




I um didn't mean to soudn liek I think NIntendo will fail cuz I sure as hell know better than that, I am totaly convinced Ps3 will though. But I wanted to point out that things this collassal (spelling is problaly wrong sue me) has happened before many times.



Still I am glad theyd idnt cancel TP for GC cuz I am getting it myself.

But hey wait a second, someone earlier said Super Paper Mario was cancelled, when the hell did that happne, leaving this thread to pursue news regaridng that game peace out all.

Final Fantasy 7.  Started out N64 (more powerful system) shifted to ps1 (more popular system)


PS System Seller. N64 Death Nail.

Thats 1 MILESTONE example of this very thing happening before.


I for one am going to get both versions, Wii for me GC for my sister (imma give her the GC when I get the Wii) and I am gonna play both versions.


But seriously as a major graphics whore (yes I DO CARE about good graphics and YOU all did also when yus aid GC was superior Gfx to PS2 dont deny it) I do want to play the best versios tehre is of this game.


Lets see what else is ther, ok heres anther one, Sega promised its fans for YEARS that they werte gonna make a 3-D Sonic Game for Saturn called Sonic X-tremeand showed off footage For YEARS. Then it got canned (moved to DC) and forgotten abotu (tillit went to GC where it became a hit)

Lest see what else is there to reply to, oh yeah Nintendo LIED, no way. Dont believe it try THIS on for size SNES was supposed to get a Cd upgrade called PLAY STATION made by (You guessed it) Sony!



Well we knwo how well THAT turned out don't we.


Ok still not convinced lets see. Hmm another real life example. Sega (bear with me there is a point)

Made one bad descion  after another (released 32X to Genesis fans only to repalce that with Saturn six months later) promised Sonic X-treme for Saturn then moved it to DC, promised to support Dc no matter what, killed it off a month latter.


Sega fans got so pissed they swicthed over to Xbox and Ps2 fans, very very few of us went with Nintendo dont beleive me goto www.sega.com and read thier boards)
LEst see whats my point then.

Companies LIE and FANS get pissed Company LOSES fans.

Nintendo could very well be making games for Ps3 in three years if they screw up too much.


So if they DO cancel GC version of TP (which i dont think will happen but still could) then they WILL lose fans and sales.


BUT this isnt the first time something THIS dramatic has happened cuz they lied to us. So wait and see what happnes and chose your reaction base don thier action.

Well of course Imma have mine up and running on that day, but I sure as hell aint gonna use Wii SPorts as the gaem to lure them in, if I wanted ot use a sports game Id use Madden cuz THAT WORKS for getting non gamers playing games.



But I will show off all the cool features and let the VC do the rest of the work.


The only thing is I have a weirdo sister who thinks Mario is too violent and doesnt want me getting video games for her kids (my niece and nephew) which is along the lines of they dont even own a TV.

Well mister smarty pants Ian Sane, and I dont mean to be snappy but this time you asked for it.


First off I will always and i mean ALWAYS buy every single game that I enjoyed from Sega no matter how many times they repackage it, for several reasons. Also the same goes for NES games. DUDE you DO know that getting a working NES is not an easy task, nor is finding WORKING NES games.

THEN there is the fact that I don't know, some of these games are ULTRA RARE in cartridge format and thuis it is easier to get them here. As you stated Gunstar Heroes is one, so is Toe Jam and Earl, and Altered Beast As well as ALL teh TG-16 games, so NOT VERY MANY people actualyl have those so YEAH I see why peopel would want to download them.


THEN there is maybe the fact that you would like to reward teh company for making such great games buy purchasing a new copy when available so as to A. Keep the IP copyright protected so it doesnt lose its value, and B. to ensure the comnpanies longeviuty by contributing to thier profitability.


THEN there are those of us who support SEGA to the point we will buy every game they make over and over agian cuz we frikking feel like it.


Oh adn did i mention that The GC controller SUCKS for playing NES/SNES/TG16 and Genesis games. yeah but the classic controller is perect for it.


PLUS there are those classic gamers, like myself, who ONLY play classic games or seques to/games that are remeniscent of, those classic games.

Same reason why I will buy Midways Arcade Treasues every game systemj it gets published on, same reason I will buy Super Mario Bros every time it is re-released.



Also some of us actually have a conscience and do not like to do illegal things like DL Roms.


Again no disrespect man yo always been cool to me and I dont wanna piss yo  off but damn don't disj it if you can't take it. In other words dont f(&*ing insult me for my descicions when I dont insult you for yours.


Take it this way, why get an inferior GC game when you could get the Superior Wii game? (not that I feel that way but thats how I felt when you said what yous aid, liek i was dumb for making my descision.

Jerome is the closest Wal-mart to me. Well ok from where I work anyways I think Elko is just as close but I could be wrong. I forget hwo far jerome is from twin. It sorta got further away when they re-did the highway and you gotta go on the loopdeloop thing instead of just turn left.

SNES:SimCity

N64: Super Mario 64  (have it for N64 and DS so must complete the package)

Sega Genesis: Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Columns, Ecco the Dolphin, Gunstar Heroes, Space Harrier II, Toe Jam & Earl, Ristar,

TurboGrafx16: Bonk’s Adventure, Super Star Soldier, Victory Run, Bomberman ’93, Dungeon Explorer


These are all the games I will be downloading, as I have stated many times before VC is what interests me the most about Wii, the ONLY games I will be buying for Wii that are for Wii are Rampage and Zelda TP, so far they are the only two that interest me.

I actually kinda like the new name. When I tell people about Planet Game Cube around here they laugh cuz they name is silly to them cuz noone likes GC around here, everyone ehre is still convinced PS3 will come out on Top and Wii will fail worse than GC.


But the new name does sound pretty cool.

Getting back to the theme of the podcast, I dont rememeber when or how I fisrt stumbled on PGC, all I know is I started out reading the mailbag and news sections for along time and it wasnt till gamefaqs kicked me off that I joined the forums here.


All I do remember was I was drawn to Ian Sane's comments and wanted to defend him cuz I agreed with him a lot of the time.  I know that I had a hard time getting on too, it took like months before they got my password and username to work.


Anyways I still love the site and I can't wait to see the new one you guys rock and stay cool.

no what hapopened was I slogged onto my new acccount and someone told me I could log into my old account and then when i did it switched my password around and then I couldnt log into either one. Thatw as what I was refering to. not the being banned.  


Edit: even the staffer who emailed me said he couldnt figure it out but there was nothign they could do to fix it. I can post the email if I find it.

I am all set myself. Got 2 128 MB Sd sticks ready to go, got plenty of people coming over for the huge party (promised beer and video games means great response round here)

um bought a brand new WiFi router (for several other reasons but just in time for Wii)

sold soem stuff on ebay and on mysite so funding is secured.

Plan on heading over to Walmart as soon as I get off work to get the system and games.


Other than that tehre isnt anything else to do except make sure I have enough money left over for chips and sodas, my freinds are bringing the beer so thats covered.
