Sega doesn't exist anymore. They're just a name so expecting them to be inspired by the Wii controller or anything for that matter doesn't make sense. It's like hoping that "Atari" will return to the glory days of Asteroids and Yar's Revenge.<<<


First I will trackle this errenous statement. Sega DID NOT GET BOUGHT UP! Tehy MERGED and Are still SEGA, they STILL have all thier Studios they still have ALL thier talent minus a few of the greats, they still have ALL thier backcatelog and they STILL retain thioer name and all thier properties (not just IP but real property also) Sega-Sammy SEGA-SAMMY!!!! Not Sammy, Not Sammy Holdings Sega-Sammy, as in THEY STILL KEPT SEGA.


All this Sega is dead is all horse #&*%



Now addressing the topic.


Sega of old DID make some really cool games and were far more innovative than Even Nintendo could dream of bieng and not just Genesis.


THAT doesnt make them a better game maker in no way, and I as well as MOST Sega fans agree that they and Sega are or less equals non is greater than the other.


Chrome Hounds, Condemened, Sonic Rush, The Monkey Balls, all PROVE Sega can still make GREAT games.



Sega is not the same as they used to be but neither is Nintendo. Both have changed with the times.


Also Sega still innovates a lot in the Arcade market and the Slot Machine market also (and not ALL cuz of Sammy cuz Sega has always made slot machines as does most video game companies, I live in NV and goto casino everyday and see them in action)

Mystaria, Mr.Bones, Phantasy Star, Streets of Rage, Collumns, Sonic 1-3 and Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Shenmue, Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure, Condemned, Panzer Dragoon, VIrtua Fighter, Virtua Cop, House of the dead, Chrome Hounds, Sonic Rush, Ecco the Dolphin, Vector Man, Altered Beast, ect ect the list goes on and on. Sega makes great games, some as good as Nintendo some better some not as good. Nintendo Makes great games, some not as good as Sega, Some Better, Some some as good as Sega.

Sega LIVES on and will continue to Live on. Get over it.

Well I was really looking forward to that game so I dont cre what system its on as long as its still coming.


As for Nintendo still making GC games, why not if they work on Wii and people still have GC? Seriously Its not like N64 where backwards compatiblity was a non issue. It helped Ps1/2 a lot so it could help GC.

I only have Wii Sports and Dragon Ball Z and the load times are hardley noticable on DBZ. And they are somewhat entertaining.  Wii Sports occasionaly has a load time but I havent noticed it and frankly dont care either way cuz its really not an issue to me.

But I have been playing mine non stop with like ten to fifteen people over at my house all day since I got mine so I could be not noticing due to lack of sleep.

damn it Nintendo I wanted Bonk and Bomber Man yesterday but tehyw erent available as PROMISED. SO I went a ahead and used all my Wii points on Sim City Solomons Key and Mario Bros. Not complaining too much cuz Solomons Key is pure fun and so Is Mario Bros but I really wanted Bonk to play now I gotta wait.

Games and accesories are hard as hell to find around here too so i thinkg everyting is selling good. I bought BDZ:BT2, a Wii card and a Classic OCntrooler then ran out of money, went back to town the next day and EVERY single Nunchuck is sold out EVERYWHERE!. Also found Shop-ko who was the BEST place to buy GC stuff SUCKS for Wii, they are five and ten dollars higher priced on everything.

I waited on Red Steel and it seams I may have to wait longer cuz it is selling out everywhere at every store here.

Yes it as the spartest move for nintendi including this game, especialy cuz I wouldnt have bought it other wise and it is the most fun I have had so far. ME and all my Ps3 only buddies played Blowing for three hours late last night and they are already sold on the Wii and they were all getitng PS3's, ok well still geting Ps3s but now intereste denough to maybe geta  Wii.

Plus it is so reallife, yo know how when ypur drunk you bowl better, at the frist few frames everybody was sober and doing crappy, but after everybody was buzzin the game really took off. this is the party game for sure.


Also my friends who played also work the the golf course here and play golf religoulsy and they said it was so accurate and fun they cant wait for Toger woods to come out cuz if it playes liek this they are 100% sold.

I justw ish I had more moeny to get ANY other game cuz Wii sports if fun and all but I need to try some real games soon.

controllers sold out here faster than the systems. Igot a Classic COnroller though but so far just the one that came with it.

Yeah they should have put a THIS SIDE UP label on the system cuz I keep putitng mine in upsidedown cuz I cant remember which way it goes. I am sure ill get used to it but still a pain in the neck right now.

I got mine this morning at 8:05 AM had to drive 50miles to nearest town to get one. Waited in line at K-mart, I was so right I figured if I went to K-mart nobody else would go there cuz our K-mart is way outta the way and sucks, and I was right! I must admit my first impression of the thing was it seams so small.


I do have 1 major gripe, the Wiishop channel SUCKS!!!!!!! I waited for over an HOUR! for that damn thing to laod and they promised TG-16 games at launch and none were available. Also the web browser doesnt work yet.


So after an hour of waiting I reset mysystem (called Nintendo five times inbetween no answer) then it finally worked. My frist two VC Dls were Sim City and something Key forgot the name but it was fun.


Wii sports is better than I imagined! I like the Bowling and Golf, the seam to work well. Boxing was fun but often unresponsive, Baseball sucked and Tennis also was hard to get to work right.

My sister bought me Zelda TP but she is still in KS for another two weeks so I wont get to play that till seh gets here. But so far the Wii is loads of fun

Here is the4 rundown ehre, our K-maert had 3 Wiis, i was first in line so I got mine and there was another guy behind me and when we left someone esle had stumbled in to ask about the thrid.


Target hada HUGE line but only nine systems. Fred Meyer only had Nine systems as well and had to turn peopel away. Wal-mart said they had thiers all accoutned for last night by 8:00 PM, Gamestop only had nine and they didnt even fill the pre-orders. Shop-ko, no official word just sold out. Sears, not even sure what Wii is )stupid Sears reps don;t know anything.

The store managers I talked to said they expected Ps3 to sell out but were totaly unprepared for Wii madness. We had people camping out over night at every single store that sold them (well excpet K-mart I got lucky there

Too true wandering. As a music producer and sometimes composer i love working with digital recordings as It makes like so much easier. BUT I totally respect and wish I could compose orchestra music because it does offer more freedom of expression. I can sample digital recordings of orchestra recorded files but they arent as good as live recordings digitaly mastered.

I have recordings of string instruments that I sample into my Hip-Hop tracks and they sound fine for that cuz its Hip-Hop. But when I actually tried sampling these recordings into a full orchestra sounding file meant to use in a soundtrack I was working on it didnt capture the feel a real orchestra could.


Not thet anyone cares but I can upload the recordings I made for refference if interested. It really does makea difference. Also I can't believe anyone still uses midi, thats archaic.


Oh and to reply to the topic I aint reading any reviews before i play this game and I refused to watch any trailers. I don't wanna spoil nothing and I trust Nintendo to get Zelda right, I mean they can't mess it up twice.

Well as someone who DOES care about graphics I am interested in PS3 cuz I figure it will eventually get some games worth playing. Ps2 only had like five I woudl consider so if Ps3 gets that many then no I will pass cuz I never had a ps2, my sis did but I didnt play it much. As far as I am concerned if Star Wars goes Blu ray sony wins me over, if not then I wait and see cuz I gotta have every versions of Star Wars there is.


I wont pay more than 100 for a Ps3 and I wont get one till I can get it used so I garuntee Sony doesnt get any of my money from the purchase. I love sony and all but hate PS so its a pardox for me.

Plus itunes sells Ace of base songs dirt cheap (morheous/bearshare has em for free but...)
