General Chat / A formal apology to Bloodworth and Pale.

     I wanted to publicly apologize for that mess earlier today. I know it's not that big of a deal now, and I'd like to keep the details between us if that’s fair to you guys. I do however feel a need to let you both know that I was wrong for getting upset and want you both to know that I fully respect the work you do around here and that I am going to take my own advice and learn not to take things pertaining to that forum so seriously. I know that I had a right to be upset but I should have handled that a lot differently. So I want you all to know that I was wrong and I hope you're not mad at me and don't think I am crazy.



    I would just like to say that I understand what you guys do and out up with and I should learn to be more professional and courteous myself as I seam to have a short temper and it is my responsibility to try harder to be more level headed. I would like to add that I am perceived as a jokester and should know by now that others like to kid around and that I should expect it since that is the reputation I have earned. So I am sorry that I didn't react accordingly. Looking back I can see how it should have been perceived as humorous instead of acting like I did. You guys deserve a lot more respect than you get and I hope that we can all continue to get along and I will continue to work at being a more level headed individual. thanks for putting up with me and I do feel bad for attacking you like that and really wish I hadn't said anything.

General Gaming / Panasonic or Goldstar?

I am considering hunting down an old 3do system, for various reasons. What I amc urious is which model is better? I won't even consider the Sanyo model so its between the Goldstar and Panasonic models. I used to have some controllers and other random stuff ofr 3Do a long time ago but I sold it all.


Does any one have any info on either of these systems? Besdies the wikipedia crap cuz that dont help at all.

General Chat / Starting a new website need advice (VG related)

Ok Ill be quick and to the point, some friends of mine who are all very supportive of my current work, have gotten together and decided we want to start abrand new website. This new one I cant say much about bt itd going to be a lot bigger and alot different from all my previous work. We're even spending the money on our own servers this time instead of using Yahoo webhosting.


What we are going to do I cant say yet, but what I can say is it will have lots of videos and totally video game dedicated. what I want to know is, whats the ebst way to get pictures and videos from a video game conolse to a PC? I know that Pro 666 does some neat stuff with his games bUT i dont know what kinds of equipment or programs to use.

I have to go right now Ill post more details latter and read any responses that are here. thanks in advance to all who reply.

General Gaming / Atari 5200? Anyone?

Ok so here is the thing I was gonna put this in Technical Discussion or whatever its called but it should be ok here since it is a video game system. Anyways I have one of these Atari 5200 consoles, got it a couple months ago and am just now getting roudn to  checking  it out. Ok so then I dig it out and all the hook ups and find out that there is no where to plug in the powers supply *at all*. So I dig and I dig and I dig and I can't find anything, then I find this little compartment on the back of the unit and it *looks* as if there is supposed to be something there, but there is not.


Ok so what I would like to know is, what goes there? Is that where the powersupply is *supposed* to go? Am I missing a valuable piece or soemthing? I have tried looking it up on the internet and have't found anything yet. I know this maybe isn't the best place to look for info but I figured maybe someone here might have a clue.

I haven't had one of this model Atari since I was very young and I do not remember much about it.

mysticspikeis the latest release in a long line of action platformers witha  twist.

Teh series started out as Spike, an old school side scrolling game for the SMS that never got very popular. The second incarnation was the mysticspike for 3d0 and featued specail enhanced features for the CD format like cd audio and scrolling backgrounds. Then the developrs decided to go ahead and release a port of the original spike for 32X (of all consoles) called spikage. unfortunatley for the devs the game bombed no matter what platform it ws released on. So when the Wii came out they decided to give the original a second chance, since they had the forsight to release a stripped down version for the Trubo Grafix  Mysticspike got second chance as a Wii VC relese.

The game looked stunningly fantastic on the surface when it was on 3D0, it had animated backgrounds and a nice 3d effect. unfortunately the TG16 versions was flat and very pixalated and very ugly to look at, the managaed to get those bobbing parasite animations in the game for the title screan so that redeemed the gfx just a tad.

Sound 2.5

ugh, the 3D0 had annouying voice acting and some really crappy soundtracks, so it was understandable that the tg16 port had crappy BGm and muffled voices.


Game Play 1.5

to this day nobody can figure out what the point to the game is so the gameplay just feels wrong. Its almost as bad as that ET game for 2600 but not quit as memorable.


replay value 6.5
there is some humor to the game and if you ever do manage to get past all its flaws it can be mildy entertaining at times. the flaws do outway the good traits so the humor alone may not be enough to go back and give it a second chance.


ovar all. 6.5

overall none can figure this game out, but for somereason it has just enough funny elements to make you wanna check it out, just not enough to warrant the 600 Wii points it would normally cost, but Nintendo was nice enough to include it as a freebie to all who downloaded the internet channel and if you visited NWR you would unlock the game in int entirety.


overal venture into this at your own risk, if you can figure out how to make it work you might get something out of it if not pass on this altogether.

Ok so its a couple years old ut as I am not a big movie buff I never seen nor heard of it before today. All I can say is DAMN that was a good movie.  Now I am general a Thora Brich fan anyways so I knew going in I would like that aspect of the movie, but this was like a perfect movie for her and I never even heard of it before now.



Anyone else seen this movie? I may be overrating it cuz I dont watch a lot of movies and I do really like Thora Birch but this was a good movie I can't believe I never heard of it before today. I am starting to love this Starz stuff.  Its kinda wierd cuz like the whole movie I kept wondering why the detective lady thought she was crazy and I kept wondering where the other kids were it wasnt till throa was in the hall walking home and she say that dude she was inlove with and it affected her that I knew they had to be dead.

Of course I may have missed the very begining I am not sure I started watching it when the first went into the hole and she was telling that other guy she loved him or something. anyways just wanted to know what others thought of this movie.

To answer your questions.


Nobody can retrieve a lost account (asked n the avatar thread) except the mods. You have to PM bloodworth he is the guy who handles the account sign ups.

General Chat is a FORUM for posting any topic you want, so instead of making an all encompassing thread just start new threads for each topic you want to discuss its easier that way.


It sucks you cant sign in using your other name but mysticspike is way cooler so keep it.


that toolbar thingy you keep asking about should have came witha HELP file called READ ME or something like that, find that file and it will answer ALL of your questions. if not goto the site where you found the file and send an email to someone there. That is the best thing to do. I really wish I could help you more but I dont trust files from that site and wont risk downloading it to check it out.


I bumped a thread called Newbie-Checkin in General Chat that is where you introduce yourself you should post there all about you as much as you want.


Official Avatar discussion is for discussion AVATARS and since yours kicks ass you can post as much as you want there just so your avatar shows up

Mafia is a game that we play sometime around once amonth if you win this mafia you can host the next if you lose you have to give me money via paypal. its rule you can  change it.

Its a drinking game. One of the parts is called story time. All you do is go ina circle and say a word, then the next guy says a word and you make it into astory. Its kinda like that other game only more fun cuz if yous crew up you take a shot.

Lets play it will be fun I will go first. If you lose you have to take a shot and then post the pic of it here.


I will edit this post to add each word as they are replied so that way we can read the story. the poster who messes up has to take a  shot, it can be anything, except water.

Well since nodbody said yeah or nea I am going to start this anyways. You don't have to participate but it would be cool if you did.


It will be simple and only last for a day or two at the most.

Then after everybody posts I will start the game.

I talk here like I do in real life, this isnt english calss if it was I would type slow and correctly, I got a effing 100% on all my tests, I CAN type fine when I chose to, same with giving a speach in public I can do that corectly as well, but goddmanit when Im with myf riends ina  relazed setting I talk like this, same as Id o here I typoe fast I use impropprer grammer, I dont give sh*t cuz I am talking with friends ina casual maner, so why does people get so effing anal about grammer ona  FORUM!!!!!!!!
get off it already. SOme people misstype stuff and use bad grammer and noone cares, when I do it everyone is there to jump all over me. GRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

General Gaming / New news for Starcraft Ghost kinda official

Ok people who dont know me on here wont think nothing of this but its pretty colse to official.

My brother in law who works for this game studio, I forget the name he told me earlier but Ill ask again cuz they ahve a wierd name and I always forget, anywyas they were workign with Blizzard on the Starcraft Ghost game and he tells me that they have a brand new, not blizzard but the studio he works for, that is getting ready to release a ps3 game latter  this year, ok after that he said they are planning to finish Ghost up for a PS3 release since they spent a lot of money already on it and wanted to move it to Ps3.

The reason, accodfing to him, the current gen systems cant do patches and they really wanted that in the game, so its moving to PS3 which has a hard drive and yada yada, he also said they might port it to 360 but he says he doesnt knwo for sure. He is creating characters for the game and says that it is still in development but is facing hard times.

They said that was a aprt of the online excuse for GC getting canceled but it was mostly due to no hard drive, same reason ps2 got canceled.


Anywyas thats as much as he would tell me he has been tight lipped for a while cuz he hasnt been with them for a long time and says he is just an animator so he doesnt get a lot of the official inside stuff but he says they are at this time planning on posting it to ps3, they have already done some wokr on it and he said that it might get announced officially latter in the year but since they arent publishing it he says their info is pretty limited.

I hope this comes true because a lot of people were looking forward to this game, I mean the 360 porting not the ps3 it wont matter on ps3 I dont think. anywyas take it for what its worth it could be soon.
