Even if you use the Classic D-Pad or ther Wii remote D_pad link still acts like he did when you were playing witht he Analog stick and I know in the REAL NES game he didn't do that, when you pressed up he went up, now when you press up you take a chance he will turn to the left or right.

The movement isn't altered at all.  The game's always aligned you to the nearest half-row/column when turning.

I'm with KDR.  I thought Episode 1 was better, but still not really great.

It was ok, but the feeling that this was a bit hyped was there from the start. And I pretty much stopped playing midway through - sitting in some person's apartment messing around with the alarm system I think. I passed it onto a mate who was wondering if the sequel was worth playing. I hope he has more luck with it than I did.

I don't know if you really care, but Invisible War is quite inferior to the original.  It's oversimplified and the story isn't as good.

Thankfully, MP3 will finish off the Prime trilogy and Retro can probably turn its focus to a new IP. The same goes for NST hopefully.

Does that mean we'll have to wait another fifteen billion years for a new Metroid game again, like we did after Super Metroid? D:

I disagree completely.  But this is getting off topic.

You say that as though being a pure RPG is somehow superior.  Deus Ex is like an RPG minus all the crap that makes RPGs suck.

I hadn't heard that turning off the speaker was supposed to help the jittering problem until I read about it here after I had already finished the game.  I like having the speaker on, though, so it's not like turning it off would have rendered the goofy aim a non-issue.

It lists the items and explains the chambers a bit.  Doesn't mention how the leveling up works.

What?  Half-Life doesn't even come close to Deus Ex's detailed world and open-ended gameplay.

Hype is a dumb reason to avoid a game.  For all you know, you might be one of the people who can appreciate the game's strengths if you would actually give it a chance.

I don't understand.  Why does a game need to be long in order to have multiple endings?

One minor thing I'd like with channel organization is the ability to swap channels.  Right now, if you want two channels to change places, you have to move one to some extra, open place, move the second into the place the first had been occupying, then move the first from the extra space to the space the second had previously occupied.  How inneficient!

NOA already localized Mother.  All they have to do is change the title screen to say something other than just EarthBound, and they're good to go. D:

1-4 isn't too bad, and 2-1 through 2-3 aren't really very hard.  I'm not really looking forward to 2-4, though.  The castles are a pain because you have to complete them in their entirety without dying once.  1-4 wasn't too bad, but 2-4 is bigger and more complex.  It's like playing through a dungeon in Zelda, only instead of just enemies coming back if you die, EVERYTHING gets reset.

Deus Ex is one hell of an act to follow, Dirk.

Jack: They probably ARE pulling those numbers out of nowhere.  Part of the early design phase is giving yourself specific goals.  Usually, lots of stuff changes during actual implementation, as you get to experiment to see what actually works, and what you actually have time for, but you still make up specific numbers to begin with, for some reason (at least that's what they're teaching me in my game classes).  If these guys are really as early in development as it seems, then they're just starting to hype their game uncommonly early.

Stay with it.  It takes awhile longer to get cool like Metroid.

Uh, what exactly changes?

I've been stuck on 1-3, Iceman.  I got really close once--I could see the exit--but got killed by that last reaper's little flying freaks or something.  I haven't been able to get that high again since. D:
