You call the airship levels at the end of SMB3 uninteresting? Overall, I thought both had unique level designs, if not tilting toward SMB3 what with giant world, and that crazy world 7.

Rev X is really fun I thought. Really, really dumb, but fun. I have no clue about Vigilante.

If this turns out right, there will be no stopping Nintendo this time around. Except of course a lackluster online performance... Time will tell...time will tell.... "Tell what? I'm just a clock!" Shut up clock! Just shut up!

If a list like this was made for XBOX, I seriously doubt it would hold a candle to this list. A PS2 list could compete, but seriously, what stellar games did the XBOX have that could match the Cube?

I say this to hopefully refute the quote of "the cube wouldn't be a gamer's first or even second choice" or something like that mentioned in the article. I just honestly think the XBOX is the worst system ever that generation. The 360 is gaining some awesome ground though.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:a wii crash?
« on: February 01, 2007, 03:52:11 AM »
My Wii doesn't "crash" during gameplay, but it does stick A LOT going between channels. Specifically, getting out of the Photo channel often times it never gets back to home... It's very annoying.

I still hold the epic MK 64 four way battles as the most fun I've ever had on a Nintendo system.

I think it's safe to say, MK 64 is the best multiplayer game on Wii right now.

What's with that "check back soon" comment for more updates. Are you expecting more games?

That's a really sweet idea. Now they just need to establish a small Nintendo gift shop at Six Flags. What better parting gift than a Wii?

TalkBack / RE:10th Annual AIAS Award Nominees Announced
« on: January 22, 2007, 02:58:17 PM »
Attracting public attention doesn't warrent a game of the year nod. It's hardly a game. I'm not trying to take away from the absurd awesomeness that is Wii Sports, but come on, there are other games to fit that slot.

And I had no clue Capcom doesn't participate in the awards.

What failure? Nintendo, and Konami are failures? From that statement I conclude you mean anyone who participates in these awards will fail.

Wow, that's about 400,000 sold per game. That's not bad. Decent games aspire for less. Some companies, cough* Atlus, don't even ship that many!

Gears is finally a game that is over-hyped and meets its hype, unlike Halo 2 which was just outright over-hyped.

Okami got completely snubbed from categories it should have been in like Best Art! Give me a break.

Zelda deserves every accolade it gets, I don't care about how it doesn't really differentiate from other Zelda's.

Did anyone else die of laughter when they saw Wii Sports with a Game of the Year nod?
And, does anyone else think Nintendo is kicking their own ass for giving us Wii Sports for free now?

TalkBack / RE:REVIEWS: Elebits
« on: January 15, 2007, 09:46:00 AM »
I can't say this game blew me away, but I can't say I agree with the review score either. Most of what was said about the game was accurate, especially the slowdown. The game can sometimes become unplayable as it gets so slow. I really don't think it deserves a 6.5 though. The level editor alone makes it at least a 7.5.

Did we really expect them to top last week? No. But did we expect them to have the worst week yet? Nope. I am surprised other companies didn't assist this week.

I couldn't be more annoyed with Nintendo right now. VC really sold me on Wii with the glimmering idea that great games from the past would resurface. If they put out 1 decent game a month, Nintendo would STILL be around 300 great games short of a 5 year life-span. In other words, they have so many great games to utilize, harboring them now is utter madness. It makes NO business sense to keep these locked away.

And where is Capcom, Midway, EA, Square? They signed up for this deal, where are they?

TalkBack / RE:Europeans Can Purchase VC Games With Stars
« on: December 11, 2006, 03:58:10 AM »
Yeah, I'd hate to live in Europe. Doesn't sound like they're "free points" at all. However, I'm the type of guy who has 34 things registered on My Nintendo with a few I just didn't bother adding. So, that would accumulate for me. Still, I'd hate HATE to have the Europe selection of actual video games. Few and far between, always...
