Nintendo Gaming / RE:Another Slap in the face
« on: April 21, 2004, 11:53:26 AM »
It does irk me a little when companies don't publish a game that had a sequal selling better on GCN for no apparent reason.  Suppose that is business.  And yes, average developers do sometimes put out a nice gem.  Things have been looking crappy in the news lately for our favorite little Cube shaped fun box.  Oh well, I still love my 20 whatever games and still want more.

General Chat / RE:Where you from/ what it's famous for.

Was born in VA, the moved to Conn, then moved to California, then to Maine, then to good old Batavia, New York.  We are famous for nothing at all.  But we have a zillion pizza places(yes, a zillion) and lots of tastey wings.  I  love the food, but the weather sucks.  Soon I shall be attending UB, and there my area will be famous for wings, yay.  Mmmm...wings...  I see pale zero is from Buffalo, interesting, you go to many shows over there?

Oh yeah, a few DDR machines around here too.

I really don't much like the design myself either.

Hmm, totally missed this piece of hardware.  Sounds quite interesting...  Are you able to back up AC saves?

1001 1001 1001....booyah!

Sorry...

I refuse to play Rainbow Six 3 on anything but PC.  Just a shotty job compared to what you get on the computer.  Some games just shouldn't be ported.

If the quality of the control sticks was improved a bit, I would love the PSX(2) controller.

They aren't even close to that here.  Here they are 40-50 then work their way down.  Sounds like you are getting screwed.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:shocking PSO news?
« on: April 08, 2004, 12:38:11 PM »
I would love an FF:CC style PS game.  I know they are offline playable with 4 players, but the gameplay gets boring.  I want to see a larger world, more of a story involved.   Wouldn't suprise me if it was the shocking return of the O though.

I would have liked one more CD out of them.  Thought I agree that the best part was that they broke things up.  I don't think they should have gone on like Metallica has, but one more CD would have been nice, and I wanted to see them live, given my age, that would not happen earlier.

Well, one thing we can agree on, his death was a blow to the music industry, regardless of how it went.  Nirvana was a great band with a great lead singer/guitar, and they are missed.

They already are free to do so, they don't need a little banner, just a lower sticker.  That is something people notice.

Definatly watching this system now.  Frankly, I want it to do well, would be nice for Nintendo to have some competition.  However, I also am fearing the death of 2d gaming.  Thank god for my pre-3d systems...

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Critic's Choice?
« on: March 31, 2004, 04:05:15 PM »
The Critic's Choice idea is neat, but who would decide on these titles.  When the requirement is so vague, it would be hard to control.  With a bit of a set requirment, such as the Player's Choice titles have, you can be sure of the content.  With a catagory of games that make the cut because critics liked them and they didn't sell well, you really aren't sure what you will get.  Who can tell us what games are good other than us?  Buying a critics choice game would be sort of like buying a game based only on a review, and we all know that is a bad idea.

Now, I am not bashing Eternal Darkness or SoA or any other such game as I do own and enjoy them.  It is just that this idea seems to be something that works better on paper than in real life.

Serious Sam games are fun games.  They are budget games, yes, but they are fun.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Casltevania on Cube!?
« on: March 30, 2004, 11:47:29 AM »
A Castlevania game for GCN would be excellent.  A good game to actually deserver a possibly Mature rating.  Would sell well and would bring some darker themes to the system.  I love colorful games as much or more than anyone, but it is nice to play a darker title sometimes.

« on: March 29, 2004, 09:00:41 AM »
I own that model of SNES.  My other one stopped working right.  Works nice, looks neat.  Just like the older model but a bit smaller.  The Genesis 3, now there is a small system,  but my 32x doesn''t work in it.  :-/
