General Gaming / RE:MSG3 got jacked from Sony's booth at E3

Report his posts and see nothing happen if it really bothers you.

I would agree that Konomi helped make the NES and SNES what they are remembered for today.  Nintendo had some killer games themselves, but many came from third parties such as Konami and Square.  Without those games, the NES and SNES would be much different.  I can't picture the NES and SNES without Metal Gear or the Turtles games.  Damn, I still play those and others.

Well, Sony and Sega were rivals, perhaps they want to be successful by someone else's system...seems the only explanation if it isn't GCN bound.

You still need some sort of input, you don't have that.

Nope, doesn't look like it.  I see no video input here.  You would have to buy a capture card for your laptop.

Ahh, another Metroid to keep me excited.  This one looks like it plays quite well, just like Prime 1.  Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:REALISTIC ZELDA TRAILER!!!

Hmm, I enjoyed WW, but that is just me.

What I REALLY enjoy is how Nintendo mixes graphical style with gameplay.  They realize that graphics help create a mood.  WW was light hearted and the graphics showed it.  The graphics told you, "Hey, this is link when he is younger!".  These graphics grab me and say, "Hey, this is link when he is older."  I find it so much easier to get into a game and enjoy the story along with gameplay when this is done.

Gamespot very often uses copy and paste reviews.  It's common.   Just change a few words here and there, adjust the score and you have a new review!

Nintendo Gaming / RE:BREAKING: DS to be buttonless!!??
« on: May 09, 2004, 08:34:36 AM »
I really hope that Nintendo doesn't go buttonless, and I can't picture that.  One of Nintendo's mainstays is durability and lastability, a touchscreen isn't nearly as durable as face buttons.  These are family products, not adults products, kids would ruin a touch screen.

Edit:typo

If ps2 hits 129, it makes sense for Xbox to match.  Generally how it happens.  Now going below the price of ps2, that may be too hopeful.

« on: May 06, 2004, 01:38:20 PM »
I thought I'd let you all know that Tribes and Tribes 2 are available free at file planet.  You need a free account of course and that will allow you to get a Tribes 2 CD key!  So go grab it if you like PC FPS and add to to your xfire list or your ingame list as omegadot.

I see mint SNESes around here all the time.  Old model and new model, just be just good luck.  Just poke around classifieds or used game shops and you might get lucky.

Edit:by new I meant the style, not that it was never used.

I do love a good Arcade racer.  Rush 2 is still one of my favorite racing games of all time.  Just fun to run around super fast in cars even if it isn't realistic.

Having flashbacks to Starfox 64's multiplayer...

I am very very excited about this.  I have always been a huge metroid freak and I am really enjoying the chance to run around the world we have all played through in 2d, in gorgeous 3d.  Graphics aren't everything, but seeing the world this way is a huge pull.  The mood is just so increadible, I hope it is communicated well in this next installment.  Not that I am worrying about that.  I would like some more ball parts.  MP had quite a few, but they were all exactly the same.  I would love to see some different uses.

What ever happened to that law suit against hardOCP?  Incedentally, apparently their tag is a BBcode.

Well, looks like my controller will be beat even more.  I do so love side scrolling platformers/beat-em-ups.  VJ reminded me a bit of Comix Zone.  Mmm, all the nestalgia.
