*grins* Glad someone finally realized the idea.

Many of those replies on Joystiq's article are hilarious.

Quote from a Mr./Mrs. OrganicShadow "Sure, the DS is selling like crazy and tons of people have one, but is sales of the game worth sacrificing the depth and graphical brilliance that Level5 keeps nailing on consoles? I think not. SE/Level5 are making a very grave mistake by basically raping a franchise for it's revenue."

What it must be like to live in their heads...

And wasn't that 3 million more supposed to be by the end of their fiscal year in March?

Yes.  Completely so.  The characters and plots in this Zelda are very top tier in their development.  So far (currently about 20 hours into it) and it's surpassed my expectations above and beyond.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Mario 64 improved?

I know the DS version fixed this weird little glitch I exploited a lot in the N64 one where you could high-jump through the ceiling of a certain part of the spiral stairs to get up them faster.

I don't have a problem with the quality so much as I'm still in the dark as to how to turn it up/down in game.  It's a bit alarming to be playing and hear a loud laugh or other sound effect coming from next to you.

And yes, Midna (and her voice) is unbelievably cute (and that adorable always-evil grin!)

Edit: And now reading Bill's post, I know!  Thanks. :D

Nada thing here, for me.  Went to Wal-Mart at 11:30 and there were over 30 people there and only 28 to go around.  Only about a fistful of Zelda copies as well.  Tomorrow at Target/Best Buy it is.

I the background music.  Reminds me of the Earthbound department stores or Mario Paint.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Wii Games at Retail
« on: November 17, 2006, 02:51:22 PM »
None of the stores I visited earlier tonight budged at all.  My quest to find early games and/or controllers failed!

I tried Best Buy first and was told by the (clearly frazzled) woman working there that they aren't allowed to sell any of the Wii stuff until Sunday.  I'm assuming their PS3 launch was crazy by her comment that (semi-paraphrased) "Nintendo's doing things much better than Sony this time around, we have 100 Wii consoles ready to sell".

Next was Circuit City (can't stand the stuck-up atmosphere in there), short story shorter, they aren't selling until Sunday.

Then came Wal-Mart, who stocked up on more games since last night's visit, yet still missing Zelda.

I'm keeping optimistic that enough stock will be there for everyone, but with so much Wii media coverage so near the launch date, it's a little worrisome.

Seconded.  The articles really do need some kind of separation away from the sidebars.

Great work though, guys.  Looks very clean.

So many of the enemies in SPP were eerily "moody" (Likely because of the Vibe Wand) so... yeah.  It's a great game.  Sequel, damnit! :3

If Super Mario World were an option, that'd be mine.  But Zelda or Donkey Kong would be a nice starter.

General Gaming / RE: Xbox 360 and HD, framerate problems?
« on: November 12, 2006, 08:47:06 PM »
Not sure if it's just on my TV, but I noticed in the Saint's Row commercials, a couple (or more) of the scenes they chose to show had pretty choppy framerates.  Was kind of surprising to think they'd pick those in particular to air when they looked rather sluggish, at least in my opinion...  Anyone confirm/deny a problem in that game?

After seeing the EB Games website price for apparently one glove of random color of their choosing, $25 for three at Target seems like a better bargain.

I don't get the appeal of menacing.

And that space-age technology stuff is best left to rubber duckies and Emotion Engines.

Nifty stuff.

Is it the Living the Game DVD with Tony Hawk/Marvel in the second image? (That I don't have, argh!)
