Liked the Simpsons, okay in my book. Actually my first impression was his username sounded like some terrible early 90s wrestler name.

Trama Team 2 would make scanning interesting. Actually, any game with scanning or alternate vision modes would benefit from the Wii U controller.

The Zelda that comes after SS should bring back the Len's of Truth!

have the "nu" connect and become an ∞, and you have my attention when that commercial airs

Almost makes me wish they had called it the " Wii " so it could be abbreviated to WIN.

lol I'm not really complaining about the price, it's only $9/month, I'm just not able to use it much on my own (save for an Ancient Aliens marathon recently). It was meant as more of a passive complaint that can be said about many things;  I have a car I use more for work than say.. taking a road trip, but that doesn't mean I'll get rid of the car :P

Remember Resident Evil 0? Majora's Mask, the section in the mountains where you alternated between Link and Kefe(sp?)?

Well picture that but taking place on both screens;

Your main character can be on the tv, you walk into a room, solve some puzzles then suddenly gets attacked from all directions. The scene can become a type of QTE where action is taking place on the main screen but the players actual control is shifted to a secondary character via the Umote screen. On the second screen, you have to deal with puzzles or enemies of your own that directly affect the main character. Imagine the tension it would build..

Here's another example to the second screen being used in a similar fashion; picture the Facility level in Goldeneye (2011), where you the player are 007 and the CPU is 006, different objectives but on the same mission. Now, what if one player can be Bond on the TV screen (with standard Wiimote+ & Nunchuck or CCPRO controls) and 006 on the Umote screen? I don't know if the system would be able to handle such a task, but it would be pretty cool co-op mode if it did..

Okay here's a simpler scenario that takes a bit of both examples already shown above:

Anyone remember Mission: Impossible on N64? My favorite level was the train station, where you get to be a sniper. Imagine if that level was done using gameplay methods opened up by the Umote wherein your main character needs to keep his cover while shadowing a high-end enemy target but can't outright go on the offensive. You take control of a sniper, who is situated in a remote location and you take aim with the Umotes via pointing it around in 3d space. Perhaps while you're in control of the main character, your Umote screen shows a map that you can use the touchscreen to navigate your sniper to, in order to get into position before you actually reach a certain point. If done in real-time, that could create some tense scenarios where you're using the circle pad to shadow your target but your second hand is busy navigating the touch-screen.

This next idea may be my most brilliant idea ever, or by far the dumbest... I haven't decided yet
Ladies and gents, while thinking up these dual-controllable-character scenarios, I realized it can be used in an assortment of games that feature some sort of dual-world scenario; ie. a parallel universe, alternate dimension or plane of existence, even past and present.  Each character could be in one of these worlds, and each others actions could affect one another.

Examples could be Zelda trapped in the Light World, Link in the Dark World, and you control both in each to further your adventure. Or perhaps the TV shows a living being as your character where as the Umote lets you take hold of a ghost/spirit character that can occupy the same space but obviously have different abilities that would help the other progress. In a game with a time travel theme, one character would be in the present on the TV while the second characters actions on the Umote take place in the past and alter the main characters present (all in real-time mind you).

With all that said, I came to the realization that we can finally make a game based on one of my favorite movies as a kid.. it just makes so much sense!

Innerspace: The Movie The Game

Take control of test pilot Tuck Pendelton in a sci-fi thriller action-adventure featuring First-Person exploration in glorious HD 1080p. At the same time you'll be introduced to the free-roaming world of Jack Putter as his normally mundane life takes an unexpected turn when he's introduced to Jack.. by syringe!

When a top-secret research lab gets attacked in order to steal it's miniaturized technology, a nano-sized Tuck Pendelton gets injected into mild-mannered Jack Putter as a last ditch effort to keep to keep it out of the wrong hands. With a dangerous group of techno-poachers on Jacks tail, and only 24-hours of oxygen in Tucks ship; both are in a race against time!

Only on Wii U

I love that impressions regarding the controller (you know, the important part of new experiences to be offered) only have a handful of comments, but discussion about the NAME of the console are about 3 pages long..

Great impressions, can't wait to get my hands on this!

The sensation of falling is very strong and almost disturbing

Nintendo did this to me back in OoT. The first time I accidentally jumped off the cliffs edge just outside Gerudo Valley, I felt vertigo. Hell I might get me a copy of OoT 3D just to see how much worse it'll feel this time around..

hm, i'd say lets hold off until winter. Staying in and watching a movie is a more wintery thing in my eyes. I'll definitely do it this time, I've been showing my netflix a lot of love lately.
My Netflix thinks my family is needy and really into Frog Twins by now.  It gets a lot of use.  In fact I think my wife interacts with it more than my Son on a nightly basis...or me for that matter...

Samsies; The original idea behind getting netflix was to share it between my girlfriend, brother, cousins and myself since we usually get together and have 'movie night' anyway, and that we'd split the ridiculously low cost among us to make it even lower; about a year in and i'm the only one paying for the service but the one who uses it the least.

Hangover 2 - utter ****, needs no explanation.

Of course, I've discussed this very thing for years now. I'm still on the fence about it making the controller so big but it looks like Nintendo has some crazy ideas up their sleeve, so I'll bite.

That's a good point, but like Mop it up also said, it'll be such a long time since it'll come out that there is PLENTY of time for more to be shown. This was like Nintendo giving us a sneak peak, which they rarely do.

that edge on the back looks awkward but as said before, its really hard to say until you hold the thing for your self. Can't wait to see in-store demos

This wasn't just close, it arguably looks more usable and comfortable.

holding up the bulk of the wait from the bottom? nah

Troll 2 - 5/10

One of those b-horror movies thats SO BAD IT'S GOOD! Trust me, get some friends, get ready to mock the **** out of how bad this movie is and you'll be in for a good night. Drinks will help get you through it. By that, I mean have more than a couple of drinks before you even ATTEMPT to start watching, otherwise the first five minutes will be so bad you won't bother with it.

I'm an ass. I forgot this was today and even though I called out of work about an hour ago, I have no plans to get my ass down to the Nintendo World Store for the live streaming party.

It's probably for the best, last time I went (and the last time I was this excited for e3) was for the big Wii reveal, and I ended up with a stalker that lasted until recently..
Today's the day, boys and girls.

My everything is ready. Oh my.

I'm the exact opposite - I've done my best to stay away from Cafe rumors so whatever will be announced will be completely new to me.

The only thing I'm ready for is to be drowned under a tidal wave of AWESOME
