I heard your mom is known to squeeze out her puss but I thought they were mean spirited rumors, so I didn't want to confront you about them..

I like to season a skinless chicken breast with garlic, pepper, and parmesan, then sautee in olive oil for about 10 minutes each side.

I don't always applaud, but when I do, it's because someone made me laugh out loud.

Stay witty, my friend.

I vote for taking this thread in a new direction!

Gentlemen Boys,

at one point I really wanted to get a pair of Bluetooth headphones to use on my ipod (read:ipod, not iphone) but didn't feel like gambling on an adapter that may or may not work* so it never came to fruition.

I've been riding a bike recently and Bluetooth headphones would go perfect with this, I may have to try these (if compatible).

Relax, my health is fine and I had no idea about the Urban Dictionary definition you posted Ceric. I made that post from my phone and I'm known to be too trustworthy with my auto-correct. I can't for the life of me remember what i was trying to say, so don't even ask.

I noticed the mistake early on but decided to keep it; I thought I put this in the funhouse and leaving it would create some LOL moments.

Good first dibs for both of you. Maxi, I should still have your address in my inbox so no need to resend it. I'm actually glad I waited on sending you that other stuff we spoke about, now I can get it all done in one shot.

MegaByte; PM me with details, unless you want all of NWR to have your info ;) might make some good funhouse fodder there

The following is a list of games I no longer have space or use for. I don't mind just sending these out to you free, maybe some compensation for shipping would be nice depending on how much it comes out to. I really just need to get rid of a ton of stuff, and so far other means haven't worked and I refuse to just throw these away.

If you'll put these games in use, or simply appreciate them as collectors items, they're yours. Just leave a message here or shoot me a PM.

Currently the list is only old games, but I may add a few things later on, like figures or other nerd memorabilia I've collected over the years.

NES

T&C Surf Designs
Wild Gunman
The Legend of Cage
Rampage
Ice Hockey
Wheel Of Fortune: Family Edition
Urban Champion
The Adventures of Bayou Billy
R.B.I. Baseball*
Pro Wrestling
Wolverine
RoboWarrior
Galaga
Muppet Adventure: Chaos at the Carnival
Little Nemo: Dream Master
Mega Man 5
Talespin
Track & Feild II
Blaster Master
Dragon Warrior
Mega Man 6

*Looks like one of those unofficial cartridges, I never actually played this I obtained this later in life when someone gave me their old games.

SNES

MegaMan Soccer**
Super Mario All Stars
Ceasars Palace
Doom
Scooby Doo Mystery
Super Mario Kart
Super Tennis
Donkey Kong Country**

**I believe I have two copies. With DKC, I may be willing to part with at least one copy, if more than one of you wants it though, its yours.

N64

Donkey Kong 64
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1
WWF No Mercy
WWF Attitude
South Park
Winback
Resident Evil 2
Conkers Bad Fur Day
Excitebike 64***
Bomberman 64***

*** I actually really liked these game, and while my joysticks are garbage I feel like I should keep a few key games out of my entire N64 collection other than the classics (Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario/Kart 64, LoZ,) so these two I would only get rid of if it seemed someone really REALLY wanted it.

WARNING: I have not hooked up any of these systems to test these games are still working, hence why I'm willing to give them away free of charge. Most of the games on this list are games I obtained second hand only a few years ago. If you're willing to reimburse me for shipping, I'll gladly send you the game and let you test it out; if it doesn't work I obviously won't ask you to pay for the shipping.

first-bump

Sooo... anyone heard of The Protomen?

The wikipedia link above will give you the full picture, but for those who don't care to read much: They're an indie band who put out two rock opera albums. The story? A bleaker version of a dystopian Megaman universe of course!

Act I (aka The Protomen): 10/10

Act II: The Father of Death: 9/10

Maybe I'm just caught up in the excitement to rate them so high.. or maybe I'm not? I actually listened to the second album  first THEN the first album. Coincidentally the second album is a precursor story to the first album so in a way it made sense. However, the second album has a higher production value (in fact they share Meatloaf's producer, so you know it's going to sound epic) so going backwards like this put the original album in a negative light, at least for the audiophile in me. It wasn't just the production though, the sound felt sloppier - a much more grungy feel which I couldn't find myself getting in to... until now.

With Act II there were some amazing, outstanding, tracks but overall while being a great rock opera, I eventually felt it felt short as a general album. In other words, it wasn't something you could pick up and listen to at random, and for the most part the album *only* works as an opera - if you don't sit and listen to the rest of the story, certain tracks won't have much of an impact.

However, with the first album: once I got into the feel of the record, and realized that the music reflects the environment being portrayed (bleak, chaotic, etc) and how much more epic the storyline was than Act II - I was blown away. Every single track is also a rocking fucking tune, so you can enjoy individual tracks for the music alone than for the story. That's what really pushed Act I over the top for me. I can honestly say I've been listening to at least one track from this album (probably on repeat) a day for the past few weeks. I can't believe how long it took me to give this one a shot!

Since I'm feeling generous, here are (in my opinion of course) some of the best tracks from the album (in reverse order so you can somewhat get an idea of how the storyline progresses):

Keep Quiet
Light up the Night

Unrest in the House of Light (w/neat animated video!
Vengeance**

Enjoy!

**In the off chance you're somewhere that you can't access the youtube links above, and/or are just curious about the lyrics, here's my favorite part from that last song. Ever envisioned an enraged, blood thirsty Megaman? You will now:

" Send your armies. There's no man or machine who can stop me,
and you'll soon see.I come for vengeance for the first Son of Light, and I'm ready, and I'm willing, and I'm prepared to...

Send me the best you've got. Send me your strongest machines.
The fight my brother fought, here, now, will end with me.

All you wounded, those of you who can, pick yourselves off the ground,
Hurry back, tell your leader you'll need more men."

I may or may not have already posted about this band in another music thread, however I couldn't find it and this album should really make a return to the forums, who doesn't like to be put on to new music??

I'd be more worried about a foot or a fat ass.

There are four USB slots, where are the other two?

Perhaps under the front flap? In pictures it looks to be larger and wider (the slot) than that of the Wii

They are definitely under the front flap. In fact, there are a few pictures of it floating around somewhere. There are 2 USB ports and a SD card slot under the flap.

Where's my cookie ;)

This wasn't just close, it arguably looks more usable and comfortable.

holding up the bulk of the wait from the bottom? nah

This.

That's one of the (many) reasons why the PSP analogue stick is so horrible, you kinda have to hold it from an awkward bottom position to use the analogue stick (whereas the d-pad is in much more natural position).

Nintendo's actual design for the wiiu controller looks vastly more comfortable (not to mention more secure).

Speaking of which, I thought it was odd they didn't show any wrist straps for the thing during those interactive demo vids. I saw at least one hands-on preview and didn't notice anyone wearing them, but the unit appears to have the slot for it.. I don't always use the strap on my wii mote, but I think I always would with a umote..

Imagine dropping the controller and cracking the screen? I know they haven't mention pricing of the controller but even if its the same price as a wiimote, that's a lot for something so prone to damage. Yeah, I know nintendo makes durable products, but with that huge screen not having any protection from a drop, i can't help but feel it'll be the most easily broken nintendo controller to date.

X-men First Class - 8/10

My first thoughts, when the trailer was first out, was this movie was going to be cheesy and "teh g@y".

Eventually I'd hear critics and viewers say how good it is, so I had to see it for myself.

Wow. So much better than I thought, I was impressed. Had dips in quality in some parts, as most movies do, but god damn I loved the portrayal of these characters, brings a whole new side on it and.. I'd hate to use the phrase but.. a whole "fresh" new taste to it all.

The cameos were awesome but where was stan lee??

I've read this might be part of a new trilogy, which I'm sure will happen of this does well (has it? i don't really follow that stuff), but I don't think they should. I'd like them to explore other eras.. Days of Future Past anyone!?
