I own 3 Wii U games and don't even have a Wii U.  I guess I'm helping that attach rate.  I'm guessing it includes bundles as well like the Super Mario 3D World and Nintendoland together system bundle automatically puts 2 games on that system.

Somehow not mentioning SMTxFE before now is like an insult to me.
I got a feeling that what was "done" with that game was used to make the new 3DS game.

As for the other games mentioned I think they are going to be summerish releases.
No that game hasn't been cancelled. They've just decided to move it to the WiiUWii in 2018.

It'll reach a million sold eventually.  I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo makes it a greatest hits game for $20-30 around the time Zelda Wii U is released along with Wind Waker HD.

Are you just buying codes on their website that you'll use when you do buy a Wii U?
That's pretty much it.  You can buy on their website by logging into your Nintendo Network ID or you can do it as a guest. As a guest you are emailed a code and then you input the code into the eshop once you have the system or you can gift it to someone who does have the system.

Thanks for posting this.  It reminded me that I wanted to buy the digital copy of Punch-Out.  So I went and did it.  I love that I don't have a Wii U and yet I can buy the eshop games anyways.

So Hyrule Warriors is close to 600k WW, not bad indeed.
Does that include Europe?

those are not the same, those were optional to enhance the experience this is mandatory. Its like selling you a car but the keys are sold separately.
Some games on the PS3 and 360 could not be viewed properly without an HDMI cable.  I'd say it's relevant.

They should do a reissue of hard to find amiibos when a new game in the series releases.
That seems to be what they are doing with this announcement.

Adrock always has criticisms for Nintendo.  He just chooses to also see the silver lining in it as well.

This is something Nintendo Japan has been doing for a long time.  The N64 didn't come with AV cables because they used the same ones that the Super Famicom used.
Obviously this is the first time that Nintendo of America has done this.  I do think it will help sales having the lower price point.
It's not unheard of in the industry.  Sony didn't include an HDMI cable in with the PS3 (still don't I believe) and Microsoft after first included one with the 360 Elite model but then stopped when the original Slim was released.

My son would love to play PS All Stars with you, though you'd likely beat him as he's only 4. :)  He prefers to play with Sly Cooper ("Slipped right in") or as Jak.  He calls the Sly games "Turtle, Fox, Hippo games".

I'm not sure what all this Amiibo and rare Amiibo stuff is all about, but my Toys R Us has tons of them.
Buy them all and rule the world.

Nope, that was the 3DS game.  This is the HD upgrade that they didn't misspell "Revelations".

All I want in addition to what has been announced is Super Mario Bros 2 mode and it not costing more than $15
This style would be fun, especially if they allowed to to change the enemies into more traditional Mario bad guys like goombas.

Amazon has a few games for free along with a few apps today.

Maybe something there will strike your fancy.

Shulk amiibos are no longer available on Gamestop's site. Link

Disappointing, but expected.

I wonder if you can still order them in store.

What does the iPad have to do with the Wii U?  IPad has many more games (quantity over quality yes) and does a lot more than the Wii U and you can use it anywhere, not just at home.

Did the ability to modify disappear?

I just remembered the Neon Alley app as well.  I think that actually streams eps of Pokemon.

Dreamcast was sold for 2.5 years in Japan before they announced its demise. But anyway, PS4 will probably hit about 13 million by its first anniversary (in 2 weeks), I'd say 15.5 million easily by the end of the year. Poor sales in Japan or not, that's still pretty damn good, making the Dreamcast comparison basically irrelevant. Also, that prize of fastest console to sell under 10,000 per month in Japan surely goes to Xbox 360, or the original Xbox, does it not? The original sold about 500,000 units in 3 years, the 360 sold 1.5 million in 6.
I would say that goes to XB1.  It's been out 6 weeks in Japan? It's already in 3 digits.  It took one week to go from 5 digits to less than 3,000.  The last 3 weeks have been less than 1000 I think.

Adrock you forgot a couple details:

This will never get finished.
Company will close within months.
Probably true.
Until the game is on shelves or on Steam/PSN/XBLA/Whatever, I'm expecting it to fail.
And I won't touch it until it gets multple rave reviews.

...
Plus, exactly what would you expect them to do with Wii Fit Trainer or Villager in Hyrule Warriors?
Play as a companion character even if they don't have their Wii Fit Trainer or Villager forms.
Or maybe add a costume for the main character to wear, a la Bayonetta 2 and all her costumes.
