Got all three along with 2 & 3 and Veronica.  I actually picked up 2 & 3 at Fry's about 2 years after they were released for $30 a piece.  Good deal for such rare discs.

This just in, Sony Europe shuts down Lik-Sang.com.  Check the front page for more info.
Now where do I get my import stuff?

$50 Wii version actually.

Just remember Ian is anal and has these principles that nobody understands.  I'm still suprised he's still here with Nintendo only loving the nongamers.   I keep wondering how he can still stand it.  I'm even more suprised he has a DS and is planning to eventually buy a Wii when Brawl comes out.  If he wants "hardcore" gaming, he needs a 360 or a PS3.  Those are "true gaming machines". :P

I have no idea what Europe's sales are, but let's play pretend and choose a conservative number.  I'll still assume that they've embraced the game more than North America, since Europe seems to be ahead of us in DS acceptance.  Let's pretend...1.5 million. Then the total would be 6.07 million - not far behind Nintendogs!

And Nintendogs is 3 games, soon to be 4.  Some people may have bought mroe than one copy of the game.

I'd like to know where nearly 6500 Xboxes were found new in the US.  I can't find a system anywhere I look.

I don't think so. They are also releasing the anime based on the games and they know they'll have quite a lot of backlash if they don't release everything.  Plus it all still sells well.  The Rebirth novels being released by Tokyopop are doing quite well. I would be very suprised it they aren't all released.

.Hack//GU is already announced for the US.  The first game is coming I think in November.  Check Gamestop.com for the exact date.

It would have to be really long braded steel for people to have enough room to play.  Remember, you need to be a bit farther away from the screen than with a gamecube kiosk.

Also, what happens when I give them my DL and I start to play and some jerk kid comes up and grabs the controller from me and gets out of the store before I or anyone else can stop him?  I am responsible for the controller and I get dinged for it.   I don't like that.

There is also the possibility of infighting.  Someone has the controller and another person sees them playing and wants to play and asks to play.  The person playing says no and they get into a fight.  Will the EB/GS employees referee and try to break up the fight?  Is that in their contracts as employees?

With regards to the younger crowds, they can bring in a parent or guardian or a friend who has a DL and play it using them.  If they can convince the person to give the DL to the EB/GS clerk, the controller becomes their responsibility and they can let whoever they want play with it.

I'm guessing at most 200,000.  Pokemon will sell 800,000 of each game and then it will sell at least 500,000 a week per game for the next 2 weeks, then it'll drop to 100,000 total for both games for the next 5 weeks, then 40,000 a week for the next 2 years like Brain Age.

This fact everybody forgets about.  Of course, I guess it's not a problem of if the system can output HD, it's a question of did Nintendo put the option into the hardware.  Since they most likely did not allow the option in the hardware, the Wii, while powerful enough, does not have the option since it was intentionally left out.

Anyone else notice that WiiSports Boxing is now included with the WiiSports package?  So there will basically be 5 games bundled with the Wii in the US at launch.  Too bad it's only one controller included.  That means I'll be spending an extra $20 on the classic controller (possibly two) and $40 on the second Wiimote.

Some of my favorite parts was when she sounded so astounded by all the buttons the N64 had.

COmments about the revolutionary controller and how NIntendo hopes it will force developers to create new experiences (Sound familiar?)

Those hilariously bad Zelda OOT build shots.

Wow, that Zelda footage looked like they were making Legos The Legend of Zelda.  That was funny.

Yeah, when will we hear about the news from Japan?

Also, when is the Nintendo September Megaton announcement again?

I think DS Lite will pick up the minute the Black and Pink versions are released.  I personally think Nintendo will follow the colors of RAZR phones(well, I guess white instead of silver is different, but from now on).

Actually, I'm suprised there isn't a pink ipod nano or video yet.

Especially with the kiosks expected to not show up in stores until late October/early November.  I would think they'd want the kiosks in stores before the system is on sale right?
