MS would be much much more domininant coming into this season if the 360 hadn't been plagued with unreliable hardware.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Camelot to NOT make Nintendo games?! WTF?!
« on: August 01, 2006, 10:52:08 AM »
I could see them going away because of Nintendo going:

Nintendo:  We need sports titles.  You make them and we'll help fund your RPG
Camelot: Ok

A couple years later...
Camelot:  We like to work on are RPG now.
Nintendo: No!  You must make more sports titles!
Camelot:  We be out of here
Yahoo of Japan:  You know we would like to help you make your RPG...
Camelot: OK
Yahoo of Japan:  Now that it's legal we have one condition you must make us a sports game...
Camelot:  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

You are now leaving the twilight zone.

I beleive that compaigns should be focus on informing the parents and the children.  Also the people who have no kids.  Maybe even especially those.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: When's the Wii launch date?
« on: August 01, 2006, 07:22:42 AM »
Poor Sony.  They have a good hype machine but they are going to have problems.  Because everytime they start to get hype going this time people are going to point out all that has gone wrong.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Free Radical says no to Wii

That being said.  As Kairon said.  What point is enough?  I mean here we are and we expect a ~$200 price point but we expect the trappings of a ~$2000 dollar computer, dramatic exageration also not home built.  That's ridiculous.  You shouldn't have to lose money on your product.  As long as we expect to pay ~$200 or less then ~$1000 dollars then we get a couple years or months old technology.  Optimized but still a few years or months old that's how it is.  I got to look at Blu-ray and HD-DVD players yesterday.  ~$1000 and ~$800.  What do they do?  They play movies.  Thats it.  A very specific task with much less variables then a console has to deal with and probably requiring less technology and people are willing to pay that much and we gripe about how are more powerful game consoles and like are trying to move out of the $200 price range.  Then just in the price range of what the Wii costs are the DVD Recorders and they go up from their.  Personally yes, I don't want to pay a whole lot for a console but I'm also willing to accept that means some trade offs.  PC's will always be better because it's more what your willing to spend more than anything else and they grow over time.  Consoles are static but they do there job well and are more reliable.  It's a trade-off.  Thats all.  We'll still see amazing things.  I am excited about the coming of the Wii.  Graphically flawed or not.

Yeah.  But at least it's not to unreasonable.  The Gamecube thing is an interesting concept.   To actually throttle back the processor to make sure it's compatible.  I wonder if there be an energy savings?  Also sounds like a big place for problems.  A Wii getting stuck in Cube mode.

TalkBack / RE: More Details on New E3
« on: August 01, 2006, 05:08:35 AM »
*Shrug*  I can definitely see where there coming from here.  Everyone whose talked about E3 always says that its not even close to optimal to try out games.  This will make it more optimal.  Though I would like to see a 4th day 12 hour bonanza where people put there wares out for general testing.  But with it moving to July and the growth of PAX I could see companies shifting that sort of thing over to PAX because there people could care less what your booth looked like they just want to play the games.  It's not the E3 we all know and love but, in the end I think it will be more productive even for us.  (Oh and don't kid yourself when you think this will stop the rush builds for this event.)

Man... Get Triple A.  Towing would have been nada and you save on trips and random places.  Plus all the maps you ever want and free locksmithing if you lock your keys in the car.  At $75 a pop I know I more then made up my membership in towing and getting my car openned.

Actually I wanted to talk some about the game as I went through because I just got it because the price has gone down.  It's rude to make a new thread so I found the appropriate one.

I find that I finally find a phone I want from Verizon (this case a Nokia 6305i or 6236i) the official stores won't have it and have no way to get it.  Instead they have all the phones I don't want.

If their is a will there is a way.  If enough people want the current style of FF on Wii it will be there.  We've all seen some amazing things done when demand is their.  I wouldn't call it incapable.  I just would say its more challenging then it should be.  I'll leave it at that.

I am pleased to announce my new IP Banjo Master: Tales of the South
Set in the United States Southeast, home of the Banjo, you will explore a vast land with a variety of rich people and culture.
This game will test your reasoning abilities and Banjo prowess while allowing you to explore the rich lore and history that comes from this young country.
As promised this game may be as mature or family friendly as you would like to play it.

Inspired by Arbok:
Prince of Persia Vs. Yu-gi-Oh: The Soul of Eternity Challenge  We are excited by this new game we think that the blending of card style play and clever/annoying platforming, traps, and puzzles that the Princ of Persia series has always been known for will really be a winning combination.  Not only can the Prince stretch his acrobatic skills but with the new card system he can change his terrain, summon ally monsters, cast magic, and even put traps of his own.  As for Yugi... well you've never seen him quiet like this before and we'll leave it at that.  As you can see each franchise has something to bring to the table.

There you go.  I have foreseen the future and these are it.  Revel in your 5 new Wii games.

General Chat / RE: Why these banners?
« on: July 31, 2006, 12:41:39 PM »
How to you get rid of Banners in Firefox?  Because I have it and I see banners.  Also is there an Opera way?

14619
Agent Cool Blue is sort of cool.  I got the Glacier mint one and it's not bad starts to burn a little bit like regular Listerine after a while but it really does turn your teeth blue where you have plague.  It has has the cool top that measures out 10 ml.  You squeeze it and it feels with liquid.  If you over fill it drains it down to 10 ml.  Though it's slightly inaccurate because the use the top of the Listerine stuff instead of the Miniscus.

Also got Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.  I was delightfully surprised.  I didn't initially get it because I don't like when the whole Mushroom Kingdom theme being heavy in an RPG with nothing unique in it.  This one has been funny and has unique stuff so far.  I'll stop there.

But really check out the Agent Cool Blue.  It's entertaining if anything.  The Website for It

NWR Feedback / RE: "General Games" Forum?
« on: July 31, 2006, 11:06:51 AM »
Other Systems and General Chat should stay seperate in my opinion.  There is enough talk that Involves Sony and MS to warrant it.  Maybe it should change from Other Systems to Sony and MS discussion.  That way it's clear what goes there and general chat can get teh cool tech and general industry stuff.  Wi-Fi support should go with Technical Support with a sticky with a Faq of Wi-Fi common questions.  Especially with the Wii coming making it more compelling to make the leap.
If Smack Talk got merged with anyone I say it be the Funhouse imo but I think there is a good reason to keep it seperate.  Some of us just don't what to read smacking.  While the Funhouse and other categories have interesting things to read.
