I would assume if they were to use the SF3 engine, the sprites would be more like 3rd Strike then regular SF3 or second impact. They would probably look better then 3rd  strike... well this is Capcom so maybe not better, but just as good.

Good news, good news. The more 3rd party games available on the VC the better!

I first found PGC while looking for info on the GCN... this was back beofre it's relelase, so I've been visiting this site for a good many years now. I was never very active on the message board, but lately I've been trying to voice my opinion more and post.

I agree, the sprites in SF3 look so much better then any other 2D capcom fighter imo.

I wouldn't care for the autographed bit, but I would still want it (the collector in me).

I'm more excited to play this with the Wii controls, But I'm going to buy both versions :p even if you could just use the GC controller on the Wii version I would still get it for GCN as well. I hope they have different box art, that would make me want both even more.

That does suck >< I was getting my hopes up on that NES design. The scratches just add to the disappointment ; ; thanks for keeping us posted on this though.

If it does have lasting power in the top 10, it may cause Square-Enix to rethink who is the better platform for their main franchise The DS is doing so well. While I don't think it will outlast Mario or Animal Crossing, I have a feeling FFIII will be up there for awhile.

Out of that entire list only 2 games look interesting, Sonic and Virtua Fighter 5 and I can easliy get by without playing those two games... Sonic Wii and SSBB will crush any desier to buy these

As for the price, I'll bet the standard price will be slightly higher then $59.99. $64.99 is my guess.

I personally prefer the SF3 engine. Sprites look much more detailed and animated, and MvC2 is such a "broken" game with all the little Infinite combos and unbalanced tiers. Though I'm sure Capcom would not make the same mistakes with a Vs Nintendo game (At least I would hope not). Anyway, I'm sure Capcom could have SF3 style sprites with MvC2 like gameplay.

General Gaming / RE:More news for PS3
« on: August 28, 2006, 03:06:21 PM »
I couldn't put it any better. I agree 100% Spak. Things are set up very nicely for Nintendo this time around. First off, they showed Sony isn't the unstoppable giant everyone thought they were with the DS. The similarities between the DS-Wii and PSP-PS3 are so very clear (even though handhelds and consoles are different). Sony has become too obsessed with pushing Blu-Ray and are relying waaaaay too much on the name "PlayStation." And Xbox360 is still very much lol in Japan. I feel it's too late now for MS to take off in Japan. Once the Wii/PS3 are released no one will give the 360 a second glace in Japan. Mistwalker will help, but I still feel MS won't even come close to 2nd.

I wonder if FFIII will have lasting power or have a crazy high amount sold in the first few weeks and then drop off the charts? I think it'll be up there for awhile. And we have Pokemon right around the corner... then Zelda. DS will be around for a loooooong time. Any thoughts of a new Gameboy anytime soon are long gone.

If something like this came to be, Nintendo would have 99% marketshare with the Wii in all regions. The crazy thing is, it wouldn't be so hard to do imo.

I personally don't think Snake fits all to well in Brawl. I think most people think Sony when they think MGS.... However I am very glad he is in the game, he will cause many people who would normally hesitate before playing Brawl to rush out and buy it.

A disapointment yes, but playing online isn't so important that it would cause me to think twice before picking up a Wii. I have yet to play a DS game online... even though I can... lol weird I know.

Both Sony and MS have non-gaming intentions and are in the industry for different reasons. That's why someone like Nintendo is critical for keeping gaming alive. I want Nintendo vs Sega again, then everything will be right with the world.

I feel the same way. Remember how everyone was spelling doom for Nintendo because they didn't release hardly and info at E3 2005? We got a very nice surprise the next E3, and I believe at TGS Nintendo will create another wave of hype. Also, I don't blame Nintendo for holding back. Remember We all know what happened with the PS3 controller -_-

I wasn't expecting much... 2 new games announced is good enough for me... I mean it's not like this was TGS or anything.

Edit -- I don't blame Nintendo for holding back this time... TGS is RIGHT around the corner, and I think it would be best to hold off for just a little longer and make a big slash at TGS.

I hope this is true for one reason. To see the reaction to the Sony fanboys who bashed Nintendo for releasing a new DS model.

That would be so cool if right at the end, as they walk off, they stop and say "Oh, BTW... The worldwide Wii launch date is October 2nd and will retail for $170. Thank you and have a nice day ^^"
