Dang, I was watching a movie!  Forgot about this.  Too bad you didn't have a prize when I played that one time (my first time), cuz I OWNED UP!  I got like, ZERO POINTS!  But you all had negative points so I was the champion.

Sweet.  I hope they take full advantage of the Wiimote like they are with Red Steel, Far Cry, and Rayman.

Same here, they've done better than most index stocks.  So now they're at their highest point in the past 2 yrs... do they keep going up?

Haha, you keep track of stocks.

That chaos guy scares me a little.  Pretty impressive that the DS Lite outsold the XBOX 360 and PSP even though its just an upgrade and not a whole new game system.  It is a pretty big upgrade though.

Let's see if he can figure out how to get the cartridge into the system.  If he holds it down and lets go, the spring-loaded slot will shoot the cartidge in his face.  Maybe he will declare that the Nintendo DS is a WMD and that Japan is using this device as a way to sneak the deadly thing into our homes.  Such a brilliant strategy!

TalkBack / RE:RUMORS: Wii to be $149 on October 2nd?
« on: June 04, 2006, 12:20:31 PM »
I wouldn't mind paying for a $200 package if it came with 2 Wii-motes, or one Wii-mote and a Retro controller.  I'm afraid that if its really gonna be $150, then they are just gonna have the system, Wii Sports, and one Wii-mote.  I would like to have 2 Wii-motes, or 1 Wii-mote and a Retro controller.

They will probably include an option to plug in your Gamecube controller to the Wii and play it like you would on the Gamecube.  Isn't it just a Gamecube game?  They aren't releasing a gamecube and Wii version, right?  Sorry if they announced this and I missed it--its hard to keep up on all this E3 stuff.   I think they mentioned that Gamecube controllers could be used in Super Smash Brawl, so couldn't they do this for the Zelda Wii version?  Seems so.  I think the Wii version might have better graphics because in the Wii footage there was a noticable difference in less "jaggies" and smoother textures.

My only concern is that the graphics look too bright and low-res, even for the DS.  They could make it look like Animal Crossing, but it looks all weird...

What!?  No.  The SNES and N64 controllers are really different.  I guess you could argue that the n64 "has" X and Y buttons, but they are "C" buttons and are smaller and harder to press.  This controller is a great design that is easy to use for every gen.  The C stick will probably be handled like it was for Zelda: master quest--the right analog stick up will translate to up c button, right on the right analog stick = right c button, etc.

I'm sure its super-comfortable, they wouldn't release a crappy controller to play three generations of games on--the Virtual console aspect is a huge factor in enjoying the "Wii" experience.  If the classic controller gets alot of bad rep, people will be turned off by it.  I'm sure they engineered it well.  Was the Gamecube controller uncomfortable?  No.  The N64?  No.  I don't think this will be either.  It probably just looks that way.  Maybe if you were only enough you could attend E3 and see for yourself whether it were comfortable by holding in your hobo lil hands.

The name really isn't that bad.  It's a viral marketing thing.  Someone says Nintendo Wii and the listener says "wee?! Like W-E-E?"  and the talker says "No!  It's spelled W-I-I, but pronounced we."  So they automatically get this clear picture of "Wii" in their mind and the implication of "we" as in "us".  The fact that it is a homophone of "pee" and "male genetalia" also makes people tell others, which just creates more hype and gets more people informed.  If someone hears someone say "PS3", are they gonna say "what?  PEE ESS 3?  How do you spell that?" or "XBOX 360?  What?"..?  No!  They know how it is spelled and they have heard about it 100 times already.

Seriously!?  You would rather see PILOT WINGS than a new Mario or Zelda game!?  Wow.......what about Leisure Suit Larry?  Would you rather buy the Wii if they had that than a new IP or, I don't know...Metroid Prime 3?  Please forgive my blutness but you are either baked or just plain stupid.
