Nintendo Gaming / N much richer then i imagened.....
« on: February 25, 2003, 02:38:25 PM »
as numerous other threads have said yes nintedo do have a sizeable "war chest" and also as another thread says they are making more proffit than Sony, information vs perceptions, allways go for information

on a side note.. i may just be moaning here, but every post you do Dark-Link tends to have large amounts of caps in it... its just kinda annoying thats all

true its not super acurate to starwars but they do have to ballence it for the games sake, the Y-Wing is pretty much what i expected it to be but it does't have the option of fireing your ion cannons like regular lazers which would hae been nicer (more acurate too)
but still, im having fun with it

it may not seem like much information but they are using the same/similar technology to make the ball apear fuzzy as they did in star fox adventures with Fox Mcloud's fur

its ment to look damn pretty

33.3k modem in teh dreamcast was wonderfull for playing pso i loved it, lag free too, despite 1 or 2 spikes every hour or so

also with pso, are they going to charge $10 us to every country? or whats going to happen, because that will make what i pay, being an australian, fluctuate, which might deter me from going online with it

just an observation on the Mario Sunshine debate,  mario sunshine seems to be a bit like Mario 2, that wasn't really a follow on from Mario 1 and as such didn't sell nearly as well as 1 or 3.

i still like both games i have mario advance 2 on GBA, but dont own Sunshine yet (money get! soon, got a job now )

and isn't it that peach took him on a vacation for rescuing her? i played the game a bit on my friends cube

i would get skys of arcadia for Gamecube, wait a bit and get Splinter Cell for gamecube when it comes out (as its your favorite console)

im in full support of mouse_clicker (just look at my signiture ^_^) some people do get rather carried away, to put it mildly =\
but i do really dislike microsoft with a passion, mostly for their pc products, anyone who knows anything about PCs will agree what an abomination windowsMe was, XP is thankfully alot more stable, but still has daft problems/messages in it, rah =\

fanboys of any console are bad, they give people bad impressions =\ and ive encounted ALOT of xbawx fanboys, its scary, does that machine have some form of mind altering ray built into the controller that messes with your head and causes you to become a microsoft zealot =\

back to my gamecube /me played the 3rd level of the 2nd area of Gauntlet Dark Legacy

not good enough? thats a fl0rking good deal as far as im concerned, 80 for a NEW game and  memory card!!
come on! COME ON!

i would do it if i had 80 laying around, mortal kombat games are allways great multiplayer fun, nothing like a round of "loser gets off" with about 8 friends, the thrill, the exhileration, the un beliveable joy of beating someone whos been there for about 10 consecutive turns ^_^

the hardest thing other than getting ignorant xbawx/ps2 fanboys to even try playing a gamecube?
hmmmm
well i would go with either getting all of rouge leader done, i only just bought the game, but a friend of mine who got his cube at release date with rouge leader still hasn't done it

all the trohies on smash bros melee isn't easy either, i still have 1 or 2 of those to get..

ahhh the grand ole days of yore, growing up playing mario 1 and 3 (no 2) on my cousins "intendo" (i didn't know it was nintendo) and yay gaming, my uncle and aunty are what i aspire to be, 1) a married pair of gamers 2) got university degrees, 3) playing games alot
anyone whos got a level 57 character in everquest must still love gaming sadly they dont have a nintendo console =\ but hey, they dont have any other console either ^_^

im 18 and feeling rather young all of a sudden

well im definatly going to buy it, i loved SC1 one on dreamcast and well with link in it aswell, how can you go wrong
i also would applaud the creators of the game (slipped my mind at the moment) for putting effort into a mutli platform game! i think thats a brilliant idea having a different console specific character in each version

yes exactly, i dont think it would be hard to code at all, all you would need is the right IP and away you go, trade get!
i was also thinking along the lines of using 2 gamecubes as gameboys and trading that way, using gba player and a bband adapter and linking up (similar to pso)

2971
i think that it was a well put togeather theory/post
makes alot of sence, and perhaps im generalising here but it seems most Xbox owners are "casual gamers" which means they will most likely be turned off alot easyer than say your die hard nintendo fan.

negativity breeds negativity, positive thinking all the way

[sales pitch]
yes ebay is australian
well... technically its american, but several countries have their own website, us being one of them
Ebay <-- click there for it

you can buy stuff from foreign ebay sites (both my sound tracks came from america) and you can do it all from ebay.com.au cause it nicely converts the currancy to $au prices quite helpfull really
[/sales pitch]

just use your noodle and ebay is fine
there is shonky stuff on there, but good stuff out weighs it 20:1 easily, how ever, i once saw someone selling pokemon ruby/saphire roms, about a month or two ago... and from why i could decipher from the poorly written item description i think it was only instructions on how to DL it...
ohwell, was a waste of money to who ever paid =\

yes it will be very interesting, once we get metroid/zelda/pso/animal crossing things will probably pick up even more (about florking time). alot of the consoles being sold at the moment with the free game deal could be people who really want zelda/metroid in particular and are getting on board at a good time
