well someone on IRC came back for round two, this one actually scared me O_o don't click if you're underage, it has teh swearing

onto other matters, i got Mario and Luigi today for $54 at Big W 5% company discount is cool, i also got starfox adventures, and so far i'm quite enjoying it, except the silver of the case contrasts with the rest of my cube games, i should have picked the regulary box with just the players choice sticker, ohwell

oww allright, i guess i will post here

i've talked mum into buying me Mario and Luigi for christmas and Starfox Adventures, thanks Shifty and Infernal for the tips about KMart and Big W (i can get a further 5% discount at Big W ) and that means i won't drop the games i'm currently playing (or half playing *points to most GCN titles*) but it does put my getting of a PS2 for christmas somewhat in doubt, but that's okay i'm not in that much of a rush to get one....... or am i...

speaking of PS2 related shenanigans is the futurama game any good does anyone know? even if it's medicore I'll still end up getting it, i <3 futurama ^_^, also read this description of FFX by Big W's website

Final Fantasy X Platinum Edition
If Final Fantasy X has an overriding key theme, then it has to be water. From the lead character's name (Tidus) to the nature of the world-threatening enemy (a huge demon-whale known as Sin), FFX takes every opportunity to bombard you with sub-aqua shenanigans

Rating: G8+

sub-aqua shenanigans? that has got to be the funniest description i've ever heard, makes FFX seem like a comedy game ^_^

oh yeah, don't worry about Mario getting an xbawx, it's free i would take one if it was free also, free = good.

Nintendo Gaming / advance wars 1 after advance wars 2?
« on: November 26, 2003, 09:55:35 PM »
i'm currently involved in the majesty that is advance wars 2, i got it about six weeks ago and haven't really put it down at all, i've almost completed the 'green earth' portion of campaign, and i've done a swag of the war room maps, my question is, is it worth purchasing advance wars 1 after having played advance wars 2? if the campaign mode is alot different to AW2 (which my logic says it should be) then that's enough to warrent a purchase in my books.

so yeah.. aw1 worth it after aw2?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: GOTY Contenders DISCUSSION
« on: November 26, 2003, 06:22:43 PM »
i thought Metroid Prime won GOTY last year, also please guys, don't do small posts, I would really rather this not get locked as a poll, because that wasn't my aim, also yeah go nuts all systems included, i almost posted this in general chat, but the volume of traffic wouldn't have been as high and i also figured that most would chose gamecube games ^_^ bias much?

Nintendo Gaming / GOTY Contenders DISCUSSION
« on: November 26, 2003, 08:36:20 AM »
i.e. no one word posts, i don't want this locked, also to keep this open don't flame other peoples choices, just select a game you consider GOTY and back it up with a reason.

F-Zero GX

wow. just wow. this game is probably the most pollished game i have seen in a LONG time, the fact that Amusement Vision some how got 30 detailed cars in detailed courses all running at 60FPS at blistering speeds is a technological achievement, not only that it has perfectly ballenced AI, where if you don't win a race you can recover from that in subsiquent races. also the music is superb, argh look at the time, i have to goto work :\, so i guess i'll be shorter than i planned

F-Zero GX goty? i surely hope so.

174
i could suggest Eternal Darkness of Resident Evil of some description, and you may dislike the survival horror genre, i know i do curse you Mavis Beacon... it's all your fault..

anyway, get Skies of Arcadia if you can or Billy Hatcher, smaller* games need love too

*when i say smaller i mean smaller in stature compared to Mario or Zelda etc.

175
if by leading you mean second place to sony?
