They are owners of the two wimpiest names in the Italian language. Dudes name is Andrea. The name Luigi strikes fear into the heart of absolutely no one

Some blogger decided to compare NBA stars with Nintendo characters.  If you like the NBA you might want to take a moment to look at http://thoughtsfromthejockstrap.blogspot.com/2008/10/comparing-nintendo-game-characters-and.html

Add your own comparisons if you like.

Every once in awhile you get lucky.  I got Guilty Gear X2 on PS2 for $20.  The game is usually found for like $30-50 on ebay.  I bought it after playing it for the first time in an arcade recently, really fun game.

I was tempted too, especially since my DSLite is now severely cracking (2nd DSLite).  It is being held together right now with a bunch of scotch tape....

When the import price was announced it shut the door for me.  If my DSLite holds up I'll wait till next year....otherwise I'll be borrowing my sister's DSPhat.

my preorder copy doesn't arrive for another couple of days.....

I haven't been reading up on Bethesda's direction on Fallout 3 (F1&2 developer was Black Isle), can you set your luck extremely high and have those random stuff happen like in the original games?  If so I might have to play this game with a few different game saves or replay the game with different settings.  I loved having my character being stupid to see the  hilarious conversations he would have.

if anyone is interested Namco sent me a Klonoa Survey via email.  If you want to check it out here is a link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=2qr8HR0wgsGpd4_2f0Yk6kFQ_3d_3d

I went through a few parts and it seems like it is a lot about the character design......hat or no?  floppy ears or no?  YOU DECIDE, lol.

I would have signed up last year but didn't know you made another league.  Seeing as how you like the Phoenix Suns, I'm sure you'll hate my team's name "The Odd Year Champs".......

well it's good to hear you didn't have any problems, maybe my friend's problem was an isolated incident or maybe even not related to the memory transfer.  He claimed he lost some save data to Halo 3.  That was the only thing he mentioned so if that is the case I'm not gonna worry about it.

With the fall 360 update you'll be able to copy games directly to disc and play them off the hard drive (which is brilliant).  With that in mind, 120GB isn't as big as it used to be.  Sony will probably allow this on the PS3 at some point, which means I'll be copying over select games (I'm looking at you, Metal Gear Solid 4 and your intolerable in-between-level installs).

That feature is making me interested in upgrading to 120GB HD from my measly 20GB HD.  I'm worried though I have heard some people have had issues with transferring data.

I swear the only time you won't be ripped off by GameStop/EB is when you just stole a bunch of stuff and go trading all of it in.  I would suggest ebay to everyone, you can even research recent sales to figure out where you should price your own stuff.

Looks pretty for a DS game thats for sure but i don't like that i can't use voice chat.  So is this gonna be a online only kind of game or can i play this offline?  If it does both what are the significance of playing it online vs offline besides human interaction?

With the recent price drop, great recent XBLA games: Castle Crashers and Braid, it's hard not to vote for the 360.  However if you do own a PC and you want your console purchase to last, I'd recommend the PS3.

I wasn't sure due to the dual core vs hyperthreading, anybody else have that?

As for PC being on it's last leg, that seems unlikely when such big titles are coming around the corner...

I've put out the PC Bat Signal for Morari.

Maybe you should put out the Ban Signal

But yeah, it's the source engine, so if you really run TF2 at max, you should be aces (although I'm a little skeptical that you do!). Apparently there's some improvements in the engine for multicore support so if you can fake it, hey.

IMO buy a 512 mb card if you want to buy another component. The 8800s have been out for quite a while and I'd imagine they're cheaper now.

Actually your right i thought i had the settings all the way up but i don't.  I checked and I was running it at 1768 x 992 with everything at it's highest settings except the anti-aliasing was at 4x and the texture detail was at high instead of 16x and very high.  I lowered the resolution and kept everything else about the same and it runs a little better now so disregard my statement about running at full settings.  I can however run Half-Life 2 at full settings.....thats like how old? :(

Oh and Brandogg, I do have a 360 but like I said I prefer certain things on PC.  Usually FPS and any game I know I'm gonna play years later.  Every 360 is gonna RROD sooner or later and it is not guaranteed that the next microsoft system is going to be compatible with 360 games.

I'm the same way, I haven't found time to play Battalion Wars 2 on the Wii, Half-Life 2 Episode 1 & 2, The Longest Journey on PC, and like +5 PS2 games.

I sure hope so, as much as i like my 360 soom games just don't belong there......ahem fallout 3 ahem.  Crap I'll probably have to upgrade for that one though.

OS: Windows Vista, XP or 2000

CPU: 3.0 GHz P4, Dual Core 2.0 or AMD64X2 (or higher)

RAM: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista

DISC DRIVE: DVD-ROM Drive

HARD DRIVE: At least 7.5 GB of free space

VIDEO: Direct X 9 compatible video card (Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for pixel shader 2.0)

SOUND: Direct X9.0c compatible sound card

Now my question is there any way my system can play it?  I can play Team Fortress 2 at the highest settings without any noticeable slow down.  My PC is a Pentium 4 3GHz with HyperThreading 2GB RAM, running on a XP system.  Oh and my Video Card is a Geforce 6800 256MB.

I don't know much about HyperThreading so that is basically my conern.  All i know is that it is like a dual core fake.

I originally bought my computer like 3-4 years ago i think when i needed it for school.  Sadly I bought Unreal Tournament 3  for it's editor but my PC can barely play it, unless the settings are toned down.

Mine is http://live.xbox.com/member/WuTangTurtle

I haven't been playing on it much but I do have Castle Crashers and Soul Calibur IV that I'll probably diving into more soon.

I'll probably send out some invites sometime soon.

The game doesn't look that bad....I still want Innocence instead though.  However the video showing the battle mode reminds me of Castle Crashers with all that air juggling and all.  It seems more like Tales of Phantasia, straight forward 2-D plane fighting.  I'm not sure if that was the best choice...
