Traditional controls aren't broken, yet we have the Wii now don't we?

However I agree stylus controls for AW doesn't seem like a good possibility.  If everything wasn't so small maybe things would work better.

well the series is already on DVD, and volume 2 will be out in August in Japan.  I watched the first episode, and i quite enjoyed it.  I noticed that on Play-Asia's site they have the plain version, limited edition, and collector's edition.  Are the special editions worth it?  And more importantly how do i play these if they are in region 2 only....?

First off, I believe my "dark" tactic against you was better.  You selfdestructed in a doubles match to force a draw, I had my Lopunny use endure while my Golem used explosion.  Me = 1, Shecky = 0

Second, if Wifi play is to be done they need to shorten matches.  Here are my ideas:

Match Types:

1.  Blitzkrieg Match:  Basically setup for a 15, 30, or 45 turn match where the victor would win by total damage if not won in a regular fashion.
2.  Liberation:  A Co Op Challenge to save a city in a limited set of rounds (turns).

Rules:

1.  Turns are timed (1min, 2min, or 5min caps).
2.  Turn time IQ:  Based on how many possible things you have to do, the timer is adjusted.  For example you have 1 unit and only 1 factory, the timer would then only give you 30 seconds to finish your turn.
3.  Leaving a game or disconnecting is an automatic loss.

NEW GCN - Odama (Mic included) = $18.00 + $2.95 shipping

You can probably find this a little bit cheaper used, but in case your looking for a brand new fresh copy with a mic included, I doubt you'll find it any cheaper.

As long as Presea is in this sequel I'm sold

Ie; Simple 2000: The Daibijin. The game's extremely cheap, which is good because it's only good as a joke game. You have to try and take down a gigantic woman destroying the city with your helicopter. Your very first mission is to get her breast measurements with a laser beam. It's fun for the whole family.

SOLD!

Oh and apparently trying to find the more recent Tales of the Abyss is harder than it should be, while Tales of Legendia is widely found in the used section.  Something tells me Legendia sucked, and Abyss is the way to go.

I also just picked up Phantom Brave and Odin Sphere, I may need to start bringing in my PS2 to work instead of my Gamcube, Naruto, and Smash Bros Melee......I think my co-workers will protest.

I've been waiting forever for this and yet I hope Nintendo spreads out it's games.  My personal gaming time has been cut by 75%!  I don't know how I'm gonna fit all this stuff into my schedule,  time to say goodbye to all my friends & family

i think Nintendo's got another big seller on it's hands.  Personally I'd like to see the peripheral be used in something like, I dunno........Tony Hawk.  Too bad it doesn't rotate

surprised THQ is bringing an original game out for the Wii and bringing the next Destroy all humans game.  I'm not sure which one I'm more excited for.  They both seem very fun.

You know what, Microsoft should just sit there and relax.  PS3 still doesn't have any real good games to buy the system for compared to the 360.  It would be interesting to see how 3rd parties align their projects in the next few years.  Sony may endure what Nintendo endured with the Gamecube, projects being cancelled and multiplatform games being shunned on their system.

your better off trading with someone you know (or a forum regular) and trade back.  This way you know what moves your Alakazam will have and you know the stats that you raised it and such.  Personally I've evolved my Kadabra and Graveller from thatguy and shecky from these forums.

I'm not a fan of Monster Rancher, or DDR.  Amplitude seems like my kind of game, music games can be good with or without a accessory add on as seen in Band Brothers, Elite Beat Agents, etc.  As for Guitar Hero, I'm waiting for the Wii version.

General Gaming / I'm Lookin for PS2 games...
« on: July 04, 2007, 09:32:13 AM »
Alright so I bought a PS2 back when the GCN was in a dry spell (1st dry spell), I gave it a chance and it died in less than 6 months.  I sold everything away, and here I am now looking to give it another chance.  I mainly love RPG's but I like a lot of games from other genres.  So anyways I'd like some recommendations on what PS2 games to buy.

Here is a list of what games I've already bought:

Psychonaughts
The Mark of Kri
Psi-Ops
Xenosaga I
Star Ocean: Till the end of time
Musashi: Samurai Legend

Here is a list of games that are on my wishlist:

Disgaea 1 & 2
Phantom Brave
La Pucelle Tactics
Okami
Katamari Damacy
Radiata Stories
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana
Bully
Dragon Quest VIII
Gitaroo Man
God of War 1 & 2
GTA: San Andreas
ICO
Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2
Odin Sphere
Rogue Galaxy
Shadow of the Colossus
Soul Calibur III
Suikoden III
Suikoden Tactics
Valkyrie Profile 2
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of Legendia
Xenosaga II & III

To be honest most of these games I don't know too much about, such as Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden and I don't know if getting it would be dumb if I haven't played the first game.  Anyways I'd love some feedback, what should i add and or remove.

love the art style, im adding this game to my 360 wishlist (still need the 360 first....)

It doesn't look mind blowing or anything but it doesn't look bad.  Who knows this game could be a nice surprise, I've recently played some games that are surprisingly good despite my impression of the game before playing them.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Pokemon Tournament Beta Testing
« on: June 27, 2007, 05:16:06 PM »
Got some bad news....

I've come to a realization that I really don't have the time to really host/admin the NWR - Pokemon League Tournaments.

1.  My QA Tester job is very taxing on my availability.
2.  I'll be doing a lot of overtime on multiple titles.
3.  At best I'll have maybe one whole free day to myself.
4.  I'm pursuing a 3D Modeler/Level Design job for the future and need to put priority on that over everything.

I'll be posting a Newsletter to inform everybody that may not come here.  It would be awesome if I could find one or two people that could just administer the tourneys.  If I can't then the tourneys would probably only be a once or twice occurrence a month, as my availability will be low.  Also me and Ty were gonna work out a forum section here for the tournaments, and now I'm not sure if I should give him the info and the go ahead.

For now expect a tourney this week, but next week I can't host one due to some overtime at work.  I'll keep everybody posted with my status as well as the Tournament League's status.

So far for me the best thing about the game has been playing against you guys online, if my router died I wouldn't have any incentive to play any further either.

im sure the indie dev's could host their own sites with video and images to show off their games.  plus every game magazine and website typically review these type of games already on other systems.
