Good news everybody apparently  the main entries in the Tales of series is indeed going to be on the Wii. Translated Famitsu page

"Today is March 2009 to announce the release of the new, but the information can be found in one souvenir" Tsumoru Yoshi said.   Tales of the next series MAZASHIPPUTAITORU (in the main series) will be deployed for the Wii is evident."

As much as I like the idea of "Tales of" series being synonymous with Nintendo, I really like what Namco was able to do with Tales of Vesperia on the 360.  I'll still buy any "Tales of" games on any system though, except for the PS3 (don't have the budget).

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Time Splitters 4?
« on: September 25, 2008, 06:07:01 PM »
man TimeSplitters brings back a lot of memories.......I haven't played the game in years and about a few months ago a co-worker brought it in to work and we played some matches during our breaks.  I thought I would have to get used to the controls and everything again but wow, I picked it up and played it like I've been playing it all my life.  Needless to say I creamed everybody, halfway into the match i had to ease up or people wouldn't have had any fun.

As for the TS4, should it just go multiplatform?  I mean wasn't all of the others multiplatform?  I'm sure if it was exclusive to one system it would be far more polished though.  I'd like to see it on PC for the first time though (mods, level creator are better suited for PC).  I'd love to tinker with a more advanced level creator this time around.

The screenshots in NP look gorgeous, that video posted earlier using a camcorder does it no justice.  Then again the NP screenshots could have been cleaned up....

Wow that bear was stupid.....i don't think it realized where the guy was hiding, it just kept running all over the place.  That bear should have got the f@$k out of there after being shot at lol.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Miyamoto reafirms Wii Music is still coming along
« on: September 25, 2008, 05:10:07 PM »
I really can't understand why people are anticipating this game at all.  Everything I've seen and read still just makes me believe you can shake the controllers randomly to the songs and their just doesn't seem much to it than that.  It seems like one of those games you play for like a week than never play it again.  Yeah the dog thing was funny though.

For me this just adds to the negative stuff against Nintendo, looks like I'll be looking towards the 3rd parties for awhile.

« on: August 30, 2008, 05:57:44 AM »
Has anyone played the game extensively yet?  I ask because Madden 08 on the Wii had some crashes.  I never looked into why but from what i noticed it seemed to be selecting a play sort of quickly or skipping a pop up during the game.  It only happened when playing in the franchise mode (thats the only mode i play).

It kind of aggravated me because i didn't notice it until i started the 2nd year in franchise mode and now it occurs probably every 2-3 times i play a game.  I have to learn to be more patient when selecting plays i guess....

Hey Johnny, great review.  I didn't even know it had a dictionary like feature also.  I think I'm gonna try out the My Chinese Coach one.  I'm an American born Chinese and have never been fluent in Chinese so this may help a bit more whenever I have to talk to my parents.  Oh and maybe I'll have to pick me up that My Klingon Coach  ;D

walkingdead2 has a point, I've seen how that stuff plays out.  I worked at a Sam Goody Store for around 2.5 years to the point it filed for bankruptcy and later then bought out by FYE.

CD's, Games, Systems, etc are a very low percent of what the store makes in profits so every time 1 CD is stolen that is like 5 CD sales being erased.  Factor in the fact that almost all of chains are located inside malls and the ridiculous cost for a lease in a mall are and it is no wonder Sam Goody wend under.

Man i wish I could be playing de Blob right about now...sigh.  Getting back on topic though, I wonder wtf Madworld is even about.  It has me a bit confused it almost seems like it could be a fighting game like how everyone was thinking Deadly Creatures was a fighting game too.

Can Wii have a hard drive now, please?

Seriously...After purchasing two WiiWare titles already my Flash Memory is nearly gone, Thank god i don't have a N64 Virtual console game yet or it would all be gone.  How do they expect me to purchase WiiWare titles if i don't have the room to even download them.

yo bosshogx, give Yggdra Union a try.  It's definitely something different but if you like AW/FE/FF etc you would probably like this too.

Just curious but is that a picture of Mario Kart Circuit on GBA in a DS case?  That would suck if you not only got a bootleg of a game but you got the wrong bootleg of a game (I'm assuming you thought you bought Mario Kart DS).

you talking about the new one on the DS?  The one with the guns and stuff?

I swear I'm gonna have to start to learn Japanese, not so i can import games and understand them but so i can write a big "F" you letter to Namco/Bandai.

It looks as though this game does have a nice fanbase after all, I remember for the longest time nobody really even hearing of this game yet alone the fact that it is a franchise.  I am so excited for this game to come out.

When I found out that Nintendo Power was gonna have a cover story on it, i was anxious for the issue only to realize my subscription ended just before that issue came out....it resulted in me subscribing again waiting a few days then i just said f@ck it and went to the store to pick up the mag, lol.  Oh and yes i now have 2 issues of the mag...

To be honest though i think I'm more excited about the DS one.

I talked to the guys at GDC, nice folk.  I'm glad they are aiming high, however their track record on games don't exactly fall in the category of hardware intensive.

NWR Feedback / RE:Nintendo World Report Poll
« on: November 04, 2007, 08:35:10 AM »
1. What do you like about NWR?
-  Forums and generally good reviews.

2. What do you dislike about NWR?
-  Few reviews, almost zero editorials, and Wi-Fi/FC is very un-organized

3. What would you like to see more of on NWR?
-  Reviews, editorials, and Wi-Fi/FC leagues or something of the sort.

4. Do you think there's anything we do too much of? If yes, what?
-  It's not that there is something being done too much, it's how little.

5. Why do you visit NWR?
-  Forums/Community

6. Is NWR your first choice for Nintendo news? Reviews? Preview coverage?
-  Not lately, NWR has slid down to about 3rd from being 1st about a year ago.

7. Do you like the front page design?
-  It could be better, sometimes images can attract the eye a lot better than say i dunno a blank white background and some text.

8. Are there any more comments you have about Nintendo World Report in general?
-  It would be nice to see you guys add a section for reader reviews closer to how other sites have.  Most importantly I think NWR needs to really form a well organized Wi-Fi League.  A few people may remember my small efforts in making a Pokemon League for NWR before all my free time went out the window.  Let's just say it needs to be like 10x better than what I attempted.

If you don't want to wait for the TRU deal to come true this isn't nearly as good, but you still save some money.

Mario Galaxy @ Frys Electronics = $42.88
