General Gaming / Halo 2, Thoughts?

I don't know how many ppl have already played Halo 2 yet but I wanted to know if anyone else out thier felt dissappointed like i did.

Although I do like alot of the new guns, vehicles and maps, I really thought there could have more work done on Halo 2.

If you are wondering how i played it already, I know a friend who knows a friend who runs a Hollywood Video store and we got to play it for a whole freakin day!

Question, I was trying to customize my character for mulitplayer and I couldn't find a way to create your own shoulder emblem/logo.  I searched the logos and only found a few ones that i liked but most are pretty generic.  I couldn't figure out what the logo "Waypoint" was, i couldn't make it out, i might have just had it on a stupid color though so i dunno.

General Chat / Game Soundtracks?

What do you guys think of game soundtracks?  And for those that have Tales of Symphonia Soundtrack does it have the Japanese intro song?

I recently got Ocarina of Time Hyrule Symphony, and Wind Waker Soundtracks.  I loved OoT Hyrule Symphony but Wind Waker bothered me, because it has way too many sound clips and only a handful of really good actual full length songs.

Post up any other Game Soundtrack suggestions if you like too!

General Gaming / Chun Li (Limited Edition PS2 Controller!)

I found this at my job, its a Chun Li exclusive controller to Sam Goody stores only.  It looks like a sega saturn controller where you have 6 face buttons mapped perfectly for fighters.  There also is a cool Chun Li hologram in the center of the controller and the controller is primarily white and blue.  Too bad it's only for PS2 though.  Thought you guys might wanna know.

General Gaming / Tales Of Phantasia Question

First off, im gonna be straight about this the question is about a rom so i dunno if this is even allowed so if it is then a thousand pardons.

Ok so ive been eagerly waiting Tales of Symphonia for GCN i recently got a Tales of Phantasia Rom (I know thats bad but hey it's a japanese game, how else am i gonna get it).  Although i have heard about it being released on the GBA in japan, and no American date in sight.

So the rom i have is translated into English (though not done very well, it is very playable).  There seem to be parts that the translator didn't know how to translate so he or she added their own words.  I'm not sure but i think that's what happened.

I say this because there seems to be a few profanitys and a particular scene that Klarth asks You whether u would sleep with Mint or Arche, and the other scene where Arch persuades the captain of the ship to sail to Alesteria (i think that's what its called) and well that scene seems kinda like u r pimping Arche out to the captain.

Now for anyone who has played this game know if the actual game is like this or not.  Either way though i really enjoyed this game.

So at the E3 conference Reggie revealed Wi Fi ability.  He said its better than Online, its NoLine.  So how does this work exactly?  Is this DS Live as in Xbox Live?  Service charge?  Voice recognition able to be used as voice chat in game?

Ahhhhhhhhh too many questions, im too excited, I think im gonna pee my pants!  And not to mention the wireless lan that has a 100ft range.

Anyone have some understanding about this plz post!!!!

General Gaming / Upgrading your PC

I was wondering if u guys could help me out with upgrading my PC.  I really don't understand all the stuff on how to upgrade so any help is welcome.

Current PC:
733mhz Pentium III
384mb ram
Geforce 2, 32mb PCI

for one i need a new motherboard with agp slots (currently only have pci slots) but i need it to be compatible with my 733mhz Pentium III processor, and compatible with a pentium 4 processor because i will upgrade to a P4 later when i have the money.  As for now i only want to buy a new motherboard and video card.

Lol there is a rumor that Sega might unviel big news about a possible next system.  Apparently they have mailed out a bunch of letters to people to their special event at E3.  The news note is on gamespot.com rumor control section.

Personally i would think that would be very interesting to see and Micro$oft would be pissing their pants for the japanese market but at the same time i think yeah right like thats gonna happen.

Ok i have a question about the wireless adaptor which will be released with Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green.

I read in this months issue of Nintendo Power that it acts like a hub and up to 16ppl (i think 16, i know it was more than 8 for sure) can connect.

In the Article it never says how far the connection can go.  Anyone have a clue on this or any other info on the adaptor?

I'm in school trying to get a bachelors degree in GAME ART & DESIGN.

would this be enough in order for me to go?

General Gaming / Xbox Year over Year Growth?

NPD Funworld stated that xbox was the only console company to have a Year over Year growth......BS and they that Sony had a -22% and Nintendo had a -18%, wtf?

I'm not sure what Year over Year growth is exactly but from what im thinking it is i dont see how Xbox had a postive and Nintendo had a negative growth.  Especially when Nintendo had that price cut and was selling alot.

General Chat / Anti-Aliasing?

I have a question for u guys that i will be using for a essay and presentation for my college class (Game Art & Design) and i want to use this survey type question as a reference.  (Im not sure if this is breaking any  forum rules so i hope i did this correctly)

That being said my question is simple, Do you agree that video game texture's anti-aliasing is a huge importance for graphical realism and that the right color shades to create the anti-aliasing is important for realism?  One more question Do you think Anti-Aliasing is the biggest thing to creating realistic textures?

P.S. I need more than a couple of you guys to reply otherwise the survey would be very inaccurate.

I decided to pick up this game and start playing it again and im stuck.

I am Karim in Chapter 4:  The Gift Of Forever/ Persia

I am apparently supposed to stick the Ram Dao sword into this door but it wont accept it.  I noticed the rune design on the door so i enchanted the sword and it still doesnt work.  So i figure i missed somethin and i have walked throughout the map a billion times and i cant find anytihng at all to get passed this.  What silly @$$ thing am i doing wrong?

I reserved my copy at work a while back ago and I called them up today but they said that I they don't recieve it untill tommorow.  I work at Sam goody's and i was wondering are all stores doing this?

And if not then can i cancel my reservation even though i have my bonus disk?

And will I still recieve the bobble head with or without a reservation?
