Modern music is largely mediocre, and people trying to claim that mediocre and uninspired bands like Maroon 5 or Nickleback are "terrible" or "offensive" are just being drama queens.

Does it matter if the DSi stylus is different? That case comes with both the styluses and stylus holders :p

As far as I can tell, those are also the same styluses I got for registering Brain Age 2. Mine didn't come in such a classy case though.

As a big fan of Jimmy Eat World's one song, I'm quite offended

Which song?

The Middle. I was kind of jokingly suggesting that it's their only song... I've never really checked out their other stuff, but maybe I will now.

Good point. Gotta appreciate that.

Funny thing, too. I think Nickelback is one of the better bands of the last decade. Sure, they're not...you know...Pink Floyd, but between Nickelback and Jimmy Eat World? I think it's pretty obvious!

I hope this game features David Bowie's "Modern Love" as a bonus track

What do they do instead? Treat GH as a "platform" and depend on DLC?

That wouldn't be good for anyone except gamers.

The Rock Band cymbal add-ons are cool.

Oh, I see. So the question is, "when will people as a whole get sick of it?" That is an interesting question. Guess it depends on how fast they keep pumping them out.

Geez. So I have to ask... how many more iterations will it take before the series goes the way of Tony Hawk?

In what universe has that not already happened?

DDR for the arms? Like Helix?

It'd actually be nice to hear how this game compares to Helix. I bought Helix, and while it is interesting, it's not a whole lot of fun.

I'll probably get GHWT in the long run, but I have to say I'm pretty happy with RB2. The biggest different for me is that the character designs, particularly the singer and drummer, and particularly their faces, are absolutely terrible in the Guitar Hero series. By comparison, the facial animation and lip sync, as well as the overall choreography of the characters,  ia much more pleasant in Rock Band.

Beyond that I'd say it's largely up to song preference. Rock Band gives you access to so many tracks through DLC that the handful of songs I like on the GHWT disc haven't tempted me yet, but I might add it to my collection someday if I find a good price.

vudu, if we take what he said at face value, the surveys for your Wiiware games will show up in 4 weeks, and you can do them then to get your coins.

Unless your issue is that those Wiiware games aren't registered to your account at all, in which case you might reply with a clarification.

Where is the literal corner between here and the holidays? :|

I'm sorry, I can't help it

Maybe this was one of those counterfeit DS's with the potentially hazardous chargers, that people were blogging about a while back.

Now if they just started introducing Club Nintendo points from this day onward with only new games having it, that would kind of suck but would be a perfectly acceptable way to do it.

That's basically what they did, except they also support a rather eccentric list of older stuff. It just bugs me that some WiiWare and titles count but others don't, since the services aren't even that old, and I've put a good chunk of money into them.

I would respect the "only some games get surveys" idea a bit more if the surveys weren't identical. And they're clearly marketing surveys, too. I'd be happy if I could rate the games on a scale of 1-5, just so I could give Mario Party 8 the downvote it deserves.

Wow... I just assumed that they haven't recognized my WiiWare/VC purchases yet, but it seems that list of accepted titles is comprised entirely of games that I haven't bought. I'm actually kind of insulted by that, considering how many VC game I own and how arbitrary that list is.

I sold back my GHWT band pack. Am still confused why you can use RB drums in GHWT on 360, but not Wii. It's not technical in nature because of the inclusion/exclusion of the Wii Remote in the instruments, as RB works w/ GHWT instruments.

Because GHWT came out first for Wii, the RB creators were able to code in support for those drums. It doesn't work the other way around because the drum sets are different.

Even on 360 and PS3, the games had to be patched for cross-compatibility.

The G&W collection would be a lot more worthwhile if it included Zelda. That was really high-end as far as Game & Watch games go.

UncleBob is insane if he thinks getting the US version is a good idea when he already has the Japanese version, since they'll almost certainly be virtually identical.

I want the hanafuda cards.

Club Nintendo still isn't even acknowledging that I transfered my My Nintendo account to it yet. :/

Go into the "My Account Settings" tab. On the left there's a little "Products Registered" list, which you can click on to get a full page list of all the products you've registered. I have about sixty things on that list, but no coins.

The site also routinely logs me out as I browse from page to page, so hopefully if we give them some time they'll patch everything up.

I think they both have setlists that I would describe as "decent." You could look them up on Wikipedia
