boo double standards!

There are no lyrics in the tracks (audio or text), but there is a "keyboard track" which can be played by the singer. Many user-created tracks have one. It's fun to sing the Zelda theme.

I never expected "The Middle" to be in one music game, let alone 3 of them.

If all the local stores are sold out, a preorder from Amazon would probably get to Ian sooner than the local stores will get restocked, eh?

This game would be a million times better (and I mean that, a million) if it included the song creation feature from Mario Paint, so you could make your own songs and then perform them. As it stands, you're still acting as a cover band.

wii store.

Why is Limozeen's name there? Is there something I should know about?

I think there are instances in Rock Band where they've added a bass part to a song that didn't have one.

They announced the long-awaited "20 Free DLC."

http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/922/922241p1.html

It comes out Nov 4th, and it'll be available for download on Wii when that version launches.

I'm mildly disappointed that I don't know any of those bands, I was hoping for some David Bowie or at least something along the lines of Limozeen, but whatever.

It'll be cool if some of this is true, and Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin songs will finally be available in rhythm games... hopefully neither is GH-exclusive.

Looks like we're getting dogged on the DLC savings (money) on Rock Band and probably guitar hero as well.

The reason Harmonix isn’t producing song packs for “Rock Band 2″ on Wii is because of how Nintendo handles content on their store. Nintendo doesn’t allow multiple versions of the same content, so everything will be sold as singles — including full albums. Essentially, Wii owners will miss out on bundled song savings. This could change if Nintendo’s policy does.

it makes sense that the same would apply for GHWT.  sh*t.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if GHWT goes the other way, offering the songs as packs but not as singles.

Wow. I expected the open strums to be used sparingly, not all over the place like that. Should be interesting.

Shame that Camilla isn't a boss, actually. You could get away with a naked lady riding a giant skull as a boss.

Come to think of it, this game engine would be a good fit for Jazz music.

Anyone have a link to a Sam and Max season one clip that's funny?  I adored Hit the Road as a kid, but since then, all the new Sam and Max clips I've seen are coupled with jokes that fall really flat.

A lot of Telltale's Sam & Max jokes are character-based or situation-based, so they aren't as funny out of context as they are in the game.

My assumption is that they just haven't been able to test the World Tour guitar, so they don't want to say anything about it. Hypothetically it should work the same as the GH3 guitar, but you can't be certain.

I bought this today (because I'm getting fat, and this seemed like a good solution) and I have to say, it's a fun game. I'll try to stick with it and see if it has any good long-term effects.

I wonder if the wii version of this will be using the RB1 engine or the RB2 engine.

I'd actually prefer 2D cutscenes. Not because I'm any kind of purist, but the 3-D cutscenes look so different from the gameplay that they feel virtually unrelated.

Yeah, your best bet is the Lego Star Wars "Complete Saga," which includes all the levels from both Lego Star Wars games, and some bonus stuff.

There's really nothing they could do with this that they can't do with a homebrew device already.
