Nintendo Gaming / RE:too many good games
« on: January 16, 2006, 05:22:50 AM »
I didnt mean those kinds of 'adventure' games I meant like Zelda type games. There arent many of those anyways but thats what i was talking about. sorry if I confused you. I am not really bigon RPGs either so I guess I should have re-read your post too. But no I mean theres so many types of games the GC was lacking and I just hope the Rev does a better job of filling in the gaps. I guess its hard for me to describe what i mean because over the years different genres sprang up and the meanings started to change. I am always looking for games that play like the games I grew up with and similar to games I already enjoy.

I like to try new stuff also but I am used to playing certain types of games and I always look forawrd to getting games like that and there just deosnt seam to be manyof the kinds of game I like anymore. Its not just Gc its ever system but it seams like a lot of the games I wanted to try out didnt make it to GC and arent likely to make it to rev unless things start going differently. I see how things are looking up on teh surface but when I look deeper than that I see that it isnt so promising.

Maybe its not the games maybe its me, maybe I am getting older and not as into video games as I used to be. I have always been a person to play games in a series because I like to go with what i am familiar with. I like to play Mega Man and Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat and Castlevania games because they have always been around and will always have some familiaraity to them.

The biggest thing about Rev that DOES interest me and givces me plenty of reasons to not worry about the new games IS the Virtual Console, I actualy plan on spending more time playing the old games than the new games, considering I spend more time playing my SNES and NES now more than my GC anyways. Its like the new games never live up to the old games so I always go back.

Thats why i hated mario Sunshine, it wasnt anything liek previous mario games and ai felt betrayed playing it, it was like Nintendo hada this game that may have been fun to play I ddint try it for very long, but since it didnt have ANYTHING at all related to Mario I just couldnt get into it, all the familiar sights I was used to seeing in Mario games were missing and it felt wierd.

I dont think I will go back and replay Super mario Bros anytime soon on the rev since I just got it for GBA a couple months ago and spend a lot of time playing it there, but IU do ecpect to goback and play a lot of those child hood favorites that are hard to track down that I have been missing. My NES selection is so pitiful right now it sucks because NES games are hard to come by, unless your willing to eff around with ebay which I am not.  I always ramble on like this when I talk abot video games because vidoe games for me isnt just sit down and play a game to have fun, its a way to escape form the real world once in a while AND to go back and rspark nastalgic feelings and rememeber thinsg form my past.

See I am a person who moved aroudn a lot as a kid, way too much to be honest, and nothing ever stayed the same for very long, my life is always filled with instability, so I always go back to teh 1 thing that never changes, and that is video games. Now they are changing the way games are played and it worries me to death. I dont want to play a video game that deosnt even feel liek avideo game because it defeats the purpose of playing video games.

If i was still a child and I just played cuz they are fun and what not it would be different but I have other things to do so I dont get much time to play games so when i do I want the experience to be worth something to me. Game Cube has offered a hand full of GREAT experiences that have managed to satisfy me to apoint, yet it was been lacking in so many areas I am familiar with its like i sometimes wish i had bought PS2 and got all those games, but then I would be mising out on teh good Nintendo games.

So its a catch 22 for me, except I have hatred for Sony and just distrust of Microsoft so I stick to Nintendo who I do lose faith in but am Always surprised at how they keep making great games.

I dont mean to go off forever like that its just I some times wonder why I even play video games in the first place and I am startiung to have second thoughts about the Rev anyways, maybe i want to spend my time doing more important things, yest I still want to geta  rev because i want to have access to the classics. Anyways I will wait and see what happens and if the games are interesting enough to intice me then who knows I might enjoy the thing, but for now all I care about for Revb IS the VC and maybe Mario 128 if they dont scew it up. I will not enjoy it if there are not Goombas and Koopas and Mushrooms and Bricks yu bash with oru head and Gold COins and a Gaol at teh end of each level and all the other things that make Mario games Mario games, and I hope for the return of Luigi and maybe tehy will realize that they can do a 3d 2 player game liek the old one you knwo TUREN BASED. Anyways its struff liek that um but thats all I have to say on this topic now I propabaly said to much already.

well I know all that but what about how they talk about loading applications for System 1 which refers to Rev froma menu? tahst what I was looking at, also I know they will be stored in virtual memory but dont you think they are going to at least have some way to back them up? its all speculation right now but this gives something to think about. and I resized the image it should be ok now.

Some interesting points

>>128-bit machine (first game machine 20)<<

Thisis Nintendos own description of The revolution, I found this interesting.

>>"[0091] This makes it possible to record and store, on one DVD 30, a series of game programs developed for the 8-bit machine, the 16-bit machine and the 64-bit machine different in architecture (e.g. Super Mario 1, 2 and 3 for the 8-bit machine, Super Mario World for the 16-bit machine, and Super Mario 64 for the 64-bit machine: all the trademarks). The series of game programs for different models can be played on the common first game machine 20 by merely selecting game titles. There is no need of exchanging hardware or platform, connection to the TV and game information storage medium. The user can remember game rules in order while enjoying earlier released older series games. Thus, it is possible to prevent the feeling of sudden rise in difficulty level in using a new platform as compared to the case of immediately playing game for the newest game machine, providing the advantage of enhancing stepwise the difficulty level, the game clear rate for all of the series and satisfaction by the user. "<<

This I found interesting beause it makes it sound like the roms for the older games are stored on a DVD I was looking through the images acompanying the document  and it shows a diagram of how the virtual console works inside the revolution. Interesting indeed because theres been speculation s to how the games will be stored and this give amuch clearer pciture, if you can make sense of it all that is.

>>"[0093] FIG. 13 illustrates storage data on a game information storage medium (DVD) 30 according to a third embodiment. In the third embodiment, a game information storage medium (DVD) stores at least one game program (in the case of plurality, game 1 to game n) to be applied to one kind second game machine (in the example of marketed by the present applicants' assignee, Nintendo, any one model of the 8-bit video game machine, the 16-bit video game machine and the 64-bit game machine), an emulator program in one kind to convert the game program architecture for the second game machine into an architecture for the first game machine 20, and at least one game program inherent to the first game machine"<<

A bit confusing due to the wording but makes it sounds like they are trying to make it so you can store the emultors and teh games onto either na actual DVD, or a virtual dvd? This part confuses me some. especialy when you look at the charts they drew up.

>>"[0096] As shown in FIG. 14, a game title desired by a player is selected by steps S1, S2 and S6. In the case that a selected game has a game title (m) for the first game machine 20, the processing shown in step S21-S23 is carried out. On the other hand, where the selected game title is on the game program for a game machine other than the first game machine 20, the processing shown in steps S7, S3, S4 and S5 is performed.

[0097] Specifically, if in step S6 a game title (m) for example is selected, the CPU 22 determines that the game program with that game title does not require an emulator (see the lowermost column in FIG. 12(b)). In response, it is determined in step S21 that game program for the first game machine 20 was selected, and the process advances to step S22. In step S22, the CPU 22 and/or GPU 24 directly execute (execute without using an emulator) each instruction of the game program with the game title (m). In step S23, it is determined whether the game is over or cleared or not. The operation of the step S22 is repeated until any game ending conditions are detected. Where there are plurality of ones of game programs for the first game machine 20, the above steps S1, S2, S6, S21, S22 and S23 are similarly supplied. "<<

This also has me scratching my hed sicne they refer to teh 1st game machine as the modern system I.E Revolution, but this makes it soudn liek you can store yoiur rev games in teh system, hence why they talk about how you select the game title and the machine picks which emulator to run or if it should run the rev hardware, thsi also could be for demos and mini games built in I suppose, thoughts?

Its a hard read to make sense out of but with the pics it paints a picture of what the menus will be like also, at least they have example menu pages.

I am going to try and post the images but tehy are a funny format so it might not work out right.

>>Import Jump SuperStars..<<

I wanted to comment on this and forgot, I wont get into details but theres to obsitcles right there, first off its not my kind of fighting game, second I dont import games ever. But I am hoping got Mortal Kombat and Street FIghter and Tekken type fighitng games, and eventualy something DBZ related. I expect Atari to get some DBZ games for DS eventualy and hope tehres some decentones for Rev but still that wont be enough to satisfy my tstses, I need Samurai Showdown, Virtua Fighter, MK, Street Fighter, and the list goes on.

KI would be nice but that wasnt one of the better fighters out there, Primal Rage is good too.

seriously geta life. i hate Sony and microsoft.

I edited my post in an attempt to stay on topic and avoid a fight.

I have faith Nintendo will make good games as always, but I have doubts about certain genres and am still worried about that revmote, but not too much cuz of nunhcuk and shell.

I am also concerned with the emphasis on 1st person shooters yet no talk of Sports games, racing games, fighitng games, Fantasy adventure games, action games, all we get so far is metroid Prime Mario 128, Smash Bros online and some new IP, most likeley 1st person shooter or somthing to showcase revmote.

But staying on topic with too many good games, I quess I will leave it alone obviously Nintendo fan boys eat up anythig with the golden seal of approval and dont look for substance.

Game Cube is like trying to survive on just fruits and veggies, sure it provides enough to keep you alive but doesnt satisfy your hunger for meat. I have almost 30 games for my GC right now and that number climbs every week, and I would have had a LOT more games by now if they ahdent been canceld or moved over to that PS Crap.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:too many good games

I just get excited when I think about the possibilities of a brand new system, then I look back at all the years and see more mistakes than right descisions and start to lose faith again. I was , at first, very stisfied with my GC, but then as so many GOOD GAMES that I wanted to play were starting to show up on you knwo what and NOT GC I started losing faith. Then the online thing and then the GBA LINK, and then FF CC. Also Nintendo has a HISTORY of delaying thier systems a few months to even a year or more every Generation. thats when i start to worry about the Rev.

So OK right now you can use GC tols to get started workingon Rev games, buit what if Nintnedo gorws som testicles and decides to step it up and out muslce the competition AND provide a major launch with enough games over differnt genres to attract all the demographics they are looking for and they decide to save up for a massive marketing =blitz and actauly want to go for not only 1st place but for the kill.

What I see is Nintendo could say, push the launch back to early 2007 say maybe around arpil or march even, that woudl give them more time to ad HD support (not nescasary but woudl defintaley help image out), add more muscle to graphics chips plus ram etc, spend more time deveolping complete games that stand out and covering ALL bases.

Ill be frank the more I play PLAYSTATION and X-Box the more I start to feel disapointed with Nintenod, look if theres not decent 2d and 3d fighitng games at launch, no good asction titles, no KICK ASS MArio Paltformer that goes back to Mushroom KJigdom and gets back to roots, and if the oNine games aret enmjoyable or exectuted right rev is gonna fall flat onits ass. They cant reach fighithng game fans with Smash bros alone, its NOT A traditiaolanl fighting game.

They also need to beef up their racing games, get Crusin USA for launch and maybe a little more than just metroid and mario. Also I am startuing to lean towards early 2007  because Twilight princess will need time to wind down before they replace GC withits successor. they release Zelda then they have to give GC at least 6 more months before abandoming it, also there snaruto games ocming next yer and who knwos what lese I got mroe to say but i gotta go and i cant type rigth now its a mess.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Next Gen. Dreamcast
« on: January 15, 2006, 05:08:52 PM »
um yeah did you read my entire post?

that was exactly what I was saying, how GREAT Sega is at making Racing games, and hwo I wish Nintendo couldmake good racing games also, Crusin USA was good and it was exclusive to Nintendo but it was made by Midway.

Anyways I havent played F-Zero I just seen the cars in F-Zero and am not into futuristic style racing games, kinda like why i didnt like Wipe out so much. I am into REALISTIC looking cars and racing games, kinda why I like most Sega racers, and of course Gran Turrismo.

That just goes back to teh complaints I have always had with Nintendo and thier recent f-ups with Game Cube, there are so many types of games it is missing its sickening. And most of what is offered is midiocre except the occaissional oddities.

What I was saying though was I dont think people see how great of a company As far as games goes that Sega really is, and was using every example I know to show how many good games they have and how they even have genres Nintendo doesnt.  The Dreamcast actualy sold pretty good while it was in production and the games were selling well too, Sega was just in such massive debt from previous years and the knew that once the PS2 marketing blitx begun they wouldnt stand a chance, considering how the first playstation, while inferior technologicaly to Saturn AND Dreamcast, managed to out sell BOTH combined. Sega knew they had to exit Console market to stat afloat and it didnt sdo them much good anyways they ended up Merging with abigger company just to keep thier properties alive.

Now that Sega has more money than Nintendo AND they are increasing their fanbase by spreeading thier properties around they actualy standa  good chance of making a return to consoles, IF they chose to do so and if they decided to market it right. I can honestly see them say, goig with a console that plays thier back catelog of games, Virtual Console style for cart based games, and maybe including built in emulators for the disk based stuff if possible. I can also see them making some extremely excelent 1st party games for the system and building ties to 3rd party developers, the Dreamcast, although sold less than GC, did not suffer the YOU KNWO WHAT image Nintendo has and actauly had a larger variety of games in its short lifespan.
Also many games that were started on DC were ported to other consoles after teh demise of DC and in fact Dreamcast kept going in Japan and other teritories until 2003.  And I think it was late 2004 when the last DC game was published officialy.

Also I was over at Sega forums today and have been reading some of the posters comments thier and it no surprise they are all praying for the death of Nintendo and the return of Sega.

Sega fans are way more unreasonable than  Nintendo fans it seams.

If Sega is to return to making consoles it probably wont be until a year or two after ps3 and rev get going so they can see what happens thier. Sega is more than competent when it comes to making games and marketing systems, infact they actualy are far braver than Nintendo when it comes to marketing, they just made some bad managment calls a few years ago and hopefully learned from them. I do like how Sega executives and developers all praise Nintendo and admit openly they prefer making GC games and will support Rev also. I just hope that the new Sonic game gets to the Rev because frankly I will have to go where ever sonic goes im more Sega fan than Nintendo fan. Ok well only slightly because I like both a lot.

I mean look at how so many non gamers refer to the controler pads ad Remotes anyways, imagine arguing that its not a REMOTE its a CONTROLLER to those bafoons once Revolution comes out. Seriously what else did Nintendo invent that we dont knwo about?

yeah it was mention above by someone but I forgot who anyways Nows a good time to be a Nintendo investro considering their stocks went from 109 a share to 120 a share in a matter of like two months. I wish I had the money to invest right now cuz I sure have high hopes once Revolution comes around. Not to mention it would be nice to get in on those dividends come Christmas time.

Looking at that I predict Revolution will rake int hordse of cash and Sony will eventualy cave in or consolidate further and Microsoft will just keep eating the costs untill Linux or Macintosh replaces Windows as the standard.

Ok well as the resident SEGA fan and hardcore SEGA supporter let me step in and make some points both gamebasher and Khushrenada left out.

Back when Sega announced they were leaving the console marlet Sega executives went on record stateing they would rather suport Nintendo because A) they have similar views on games, and B) Sega percieved Sony as the reason why they had lsot so much money, and C) teh GC was teh easiest to develop for and therefore they coulod make ports faster.

Now for Khushrenada
I have some testaments that may or may not matter to yo but pelase here me out. I was a STRONG Genesis suport from back in the day and I feel Sega has and still does have a much stronger line up of 1st party games than Nintendo, not that NOnetndos games arent good cuz tehy ahve some of the best games out there, but Sega had a lot more variety.

Please dont take this the wrong way its just me letting you knwo what great games SEGA did make and telling a little about them from a hands on point of view, verses hear say.

First a guik list of some of thier hits

Sonic the Hedgehog Series

Sonic ADventure Series

Virtua Fighter Series

Virua Cop Series

House of the Dead Series

Clockwork Knight Series (VERY GOOD GAMES)

Shenmue (one of the best games ever)

Vector man (nothing liek yuor description I will dexzribe better in details below)

Panzer Dragoon Series (very good AAA titles plus Sagas was the BEST 32bit era graphics hand down. Well ok FF7 was maybe slightly better but still good game)

Daytona USA series

Super Monaco Series

Alex Kid Series

Toe Jam and Earl Series (definatley must play these games!)

Streets of Rage Series (AAA titles and worth any purchase)

Afterburner series

Biohazard Battle (great game underrated but very good)

Shinobi (THE BEST Ninja series ever, even better than Ninja Gaiden and Double Dragon)

Eternal Champions

Phantasy Star series (first 4 are the S&^T!!! Online is so-so if your into MMORPGS)

Shining Force series (words cant describe)

Collumns (pretty good puzzle game)

Mr Bones (awesome game)

Bug! Series (pretty fun platformer with some humorous FMV sequences and lots of action)

Super Monkey Ball (not my thing but most peopel find it fun and stuff)

Skies of Arcadia (Great RPG)

Fighting Vipors series

2k Sports 2k2 and before are all Sega games also and were much better than most EA sports equivelents.

Joe Montana Football (one of the BEST 16 bit era football games and inspired Madden games too!)

Seaman (if yo havent played it your missing out)

and the list goes on. I couldnt ever list ever good game they make but I wanted to list some of thier better more popular games.

I wont get oo into descritpions cuz thast what gamefaqs is for butI will defend teh titles thsat equale or rival Nintenods equivelants just as someone who has been a supporter of both companies and has most of the games from each system.

Vector man was a lt more compleiing than DKC in that there was far mroe action and there was a lot more animations going on in the levels and he had so many moves. The Graphics were not the same style as DKC *great game in its own rigth but not even same class as VM due to Genre differences) but since that was Segas resposne to DKC it gets the comaprisons anyway.

Vector man is a Sci Fi action game where your fighting robots and such in very HUGE levels and you have some of the BEST graphics the Genesis was capable of. YES DKC was a good game too and deserves it props but Vector man was an Action game where as DCK was a platforing game with ugly apes as characters (ok I am biased I hate DOnkey Kong as a character but i like the DKC games)

Phatasy Star- These were the BEST role playing games Sega ever made, before they wentonline. Simliar to FF in that the stories changed every game but there were themes thatr an throughe ach game. Unlike FF however the Magic was always a mistery and there was space explorsation and aliens and Sci fi stuff going on too not just some coorpetaion/empire being greedy. Also the graphics were top notch for the time and teh game play was excelent. Plus these had GREAT stories.

NiGHTS Into Dreams This is THE game to own if you had or want a Saturn and if Sega ever wants to make mad cash all they have to do is re-release it for modern systems with updated graphics or make a true sequel and people will flock to it, this game was one of the few that made profit for Sega in thier troulbled years. Basicaly it is a platform adventure type quest game where you travel through DREAMS trying to defeat the Nightmare and resdtore peace to the Drams of your child characters. What makes it fun is theres 2 typs of gameplay, the standard paltforming running around collecting items and such and the way cool flying sequences where you get to do all kinds of amazing tricks and fly through lops and fight bosses and have fun.

Sonic the Hedgehog, I dont need to describe sonic nor tell how compelling his games are or why they are so popular, but I will say that Sega was right for making him thier mascot and they keep on making great Sonic games even today, ,mostly handhelds but the Advenure games are good and Shadow isnt too bad.

Sonic really isnt in the same class as mario nor should the be compared or contrasted rather Mario has great attributes and appeals to many peole and Sonic has great attributed and appealls to masses as well. Basicaly for comparison skaes though Mario has always and propably will always focus more on platforming and pwerups and stomping enemies and just all around fun stuff, Sonic however is known for being far more action oriented and MUCH faster paced and generaly easier to beat than Mario games.  Both are great and niether is better than the other. Sonic is all Sega Needs to survive but its sure as hellisnt all they have thank God.

Super Monaco and Sega Rally- These are hands down some of THE BEST arcader racing games out there, and SEGA has a history of making some of the BEST Arcade racing games in the industry, dont take my word for iot, Nintendo seen this too and let Sega make 2 arcade racing games for them, now thats how good thier reputation is in the arcade racing feiled, second to NONE. HEll even Virtua Racing and Daytona USA are good. I hate it that Nintenod never tries to make racing gamesd up to the quality of Sega because the GC was sure lacking in this field and Nintendos F Zera never cut it for me. I hear its a good game and tahst fine but Sega hands down owns the arcade racing title and they have so mamy more great racing ames I cant name them all. Not to mention teh fun and humorous Crazy Taxi and its clones

Virtua Cop/House of the Dead These are 2 of the nighest rated and most popular Light Gun arcade games arend and 2 of the most fun ones at that. House of the Dead was the first game to push the Dreamcast ahrdware to its limits in the Arcade board and the 3rd instal ment was too powerful for even the Xbox so Sega left it Arcade only. (havent heard if they plan to bring it to 360 or Rev but I will buy whatever system gets it tahst for sure.)

Virtua Cop is same story, Sega made a fantastic game that pushed the system to its limits  and keeps getting sequels and keeps getting better and better.

Virtua Fighter now thisis a milestone for Sega, its THE game that sold 32X systems AND Saturns in the begining and why in the first year Satuirn OUT SOLD Playstation.  VF 2 and 3 also were million sellers and then 4 and 5 sorta got lost in the mix due to the rise of SC and TEKKEN but the series lives on and even gets spin offs once in a while (VF Kids, Fighters Megamix, Virtua Quest, etc)

Panzer Dragoon Now this is a series that Sega has not taken lightly and its sad they dont do more with it. These are definatley very compelling and intense action shooting games that take place ina fantasy world and if you neve rplayed any of them believe me tehse games are TOP NOTCH. Nothing before or after compares to the originality and complexity of these games. Yet there maintian strong gameplay and very intriguing story lines. Also the series had a highly accliamed RPG tie in Called PD Sagas and an Xbox exclusive sequel.

Streets of Rage/Altered Beast I will lump these two togetehr as they have many similarities. Both are arcade style Ebat em ups and both are GREAT agmes. Streets of rage was fast paced action and decent soptry and charcters for genre and AB was pure genious. It was a fantasy based action game witha tiwst, you were humans to star out and then upgraded into anilmals and then dragons. This game and series lives on today and will probably get a good sequel when the time comes and could very well be system sellers if Sega choe to reenter the market and if they did right.

I knwo theres way too many more games that Sega has they OWN thier competition and if Sega choses to start spreading these franchises around next Gen they will surely live on. Also if they chose to reenter console market they could easily do so now that they have better management and tons more money plus new fans and strong franchises and some of the best talent around Yu Suzuki and Yuji Naka are up there with Miyomoto for sure.

I sure as hell hope it does have that EXT port, if not it will be the only Nintendo console NOT to have some type of expansion port somewhere that doesnt get used often if at all.

Also it allows Nintendo to maybe upgrade the system to HD in a couple years when teh market is actualy there for it.

Oh and a side not, when Rev comes out and teh WFC service gets up and running on it, you people BETTER F*&^&ing play online, considering all the bithcing peolple did over online this gen if they go out of their way to make a fvree online service and peopel stilld ont use it then ya'll suck.

whats MLK? IF thats Martin Luther King day, forget it, not every one celebrates that, here where I live no body cares, and its that way every where I have ever lived. No offense or anything cuz I understand the sigificance and such but the majority of people around here don't besides its NOT a national holiday even just a birthdfay of a National hero.

Back to topica at hand, I am with Ian on this ne, so far the Game Cube has neeb pretty disapointing as far as games go, tehre been JUST ENOUGH to keep me occupied but not enough diversity to satisfy my tastses. DS is starting to get better but still lacking in SEVERAL good genres that I am still waiting for.

As for Revolution I DO expect there will be some good games but I have doubts still about the new interface and will wait and see hwo it works before passing judgement. It could actualy SUCK and then what? yeah if the games suck a nd the controller doesnt work like they say it does then the system will suck.

actauly I was hoping there would be some madden and need for speed games ready for launch, you wont get casual gamers with out sports games.  And King Kong looks like a  good game. I just hope that there are some good 1st person shooters and some good fighting games to set the pace better than Cube did. and i wish peole woudl get off Resident eveil, that series sucks anyways. oh wait I was replying to to different threads in this post never mind the RE statement.

no I was saying dont bash his religious beliefs just  cuz they differ formyours, tahts all. You cxant tell somebody to be open minded with your beleifes and sit back and bash his beleifs. I

agree shawnst3r didnt handle the situation properly,  but he WAS doing what he felt was right in sharing his beleifs with people, after all the Bible DOES command us Christians to share the gospel to everyone.

However I do agree that a video game forum is not the place to do so. I would like to go more into details regarding what was discussed in the thread but to avoid being banned myself I would only ask to do so either in PM or email. and i dont have much repsect for Brian Warrner as a human being but even as a Christain I willa dmit I have heard some of his songs that are interesting to listen to. I do not support his cause or whatever though but I do not hate the guy either.

Or it could just be a I have a crazy sister who listens to his crap and I just let things slide when its my sister, even though I am very strict in every olther area music I am leniant on. (propably mispelled but you get the pioint)

sure tahst why I boughta DVD player, but the step form DVD to HD DVD isnt that noticable to me so far. I did go back and rewatch the Star Wars movies I have now on DVD on my old tapes and they still look good and soudn good to me. Not as good as teh DVD sure but not so bad I cant enjoy the movie. Its not that much noticable unless you are LOOKING for things to notice. And damn you I hate teh discovery channel and thought taht was a good counter point. I will step off you now cuz I cant win this,.
