Nintendo Gaming / RE: Burnout 3 GC bound
« on: April 30, 2004, 05:06:08 AM »
I found burnout got boring rather quick and was way to arcady for my tastes. I much prefer a realistic racer.
Has anyone here played TOCA Driver 2? It is IMO the best realistic racer I have ever played.

General Chat / RE: Where you from/ what it's famous for.

I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Known for being the home of the Guess Who and Neil Young, who's former hockey team owns the NHL record for most consecutive games without a win (32). I was at the game when that streak ended, Doug Smail scored to beat the Colorada Rockies (not avalanche).
I now live in Toronto and Sarnia (have houses in each, spend similar amounts of time at each).
Toronto is known for arrogant hockey fans who will never win a stanly cup (GO FLYERS GO) and some of the worst drivers on the planet. Sarnia is known for its chemical valley, where nearly anything you can think of thats toxic is made.

I think censorship is total BS.
I for one am sick of others trying to push THEIR morals, THEIR religion, and THEIR beliefs onto me.
I can think for myself, thank you very much.
You dont like it, then dont buy it, look at it, touch it, or whatever it may be, but dont for one minute try and tell me what to think.
Age restrictions are fine, but just because some people are too irrisponsible to watch over their children doesnt mean everyone else should suffer.
Should their be games about war, gang violence and so on. IMO developers are well within their rights to make such games as long they do not break any laws in the process. To force them to stop because of ethics is just plain wrong.
Just one rednecks opinion.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Gamecube lacking Survival Horror originality...
« on: April 18, 2004, 01:55:02 PM »
I just finished the Suffering and have to say it is one of my favorite survival horror games of all time. To bad Midway pulled it from the cube as it may have found a few homes and would have surely helped with the "kiddie" image better than any game released.

"And to base your purchase of Nintendo's next system off this is incredibly childish. "

no it isnt. If you like a certain companies games and they no longer support Nintendo, then it is perfectly justifiable to not buy Nintendo's console.

Mouse,

exactly!

I was at the Redwings- Nashville hockey game a few days back and the 2 tickets cost me over $200 US for 3.25 hours, worth every penny IMO. So $50 for a game is very reasonable. In fact I think games are too cheap for the costs incurred making them.

"The reason that these games sell well as they do on the other consoles, is because the other systems dont have that many big hits like GC does. "

LMAO, this couldnt be any further from the truth.
