General Gaming / RE: Metal Gear 1&2 for NES

" Atari also ruined the console industry, along with the rest of the consoles(Coleco,Intelli,) "

How can you honestly say that? They were revolutionary and did as much, if not more for gaming as a medium, than Nintendo did.

This gives me a great idea for a new game I call BOMB SQUAD. You play as bomb squad team member, Boomer Splat , and you have to find and defuse bombs within a certain amount of time, or the actual game blows up and you my friend, end up armless.
This will certainly make a big bang in the hardcore gaming sector.

I live fairly close to a catholic school and it forces the boys to wear, white shirts and ties and the girls wear white shirts and plaid skirts. The thing I find funny is that most of the girls I see coming and going have hiked the skirts up to staggering proportions, making a total mockery of the whole dress code thing in the first place.
I know if I had a 15 year old daughter, there would be no way in hell she would leave the house in a cheek showing mini skirt.

General Chat / RE: Violence in Video games
« on: February 20, 2004, 01:13:13 AM »
How about everyone take a little responsibility for their own actions and stop blaming others when thet screw up.
I play violent video games, watch violent movies and I have never done anything violent towards anyone.
These people need to start looking in the mirror, they will be very suprised at the small number of people they find there to blame.

I can see it now. An anti terrorist game where you hunt down George Bush. Should sell real well over here.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Goldeneye to be used by EA for next Bond game
« on: February 17, 2004, 06:40:32 AM »
Although I am far from an expert on  the subject. I am guessing that if someone snuck up behind you, and shot you in the head with a machine gun from inside of ten feet, you would a little more than f**cking stunned.
Now even if it didnt hit you in the head, and simply got you in the shoulder, as Bill said, you would be far to busy panicing to react.

Has anyone played it yet?

"Metroid Prime used the same technique 2 years ago, and True Crime used it better than SSX 3 last year, yet neither of those were nominated for innovation (at least not True Crime)."

This is why I said I didnt really know, or care.

"and even if you consider that innovative enough why is SSX3 in that group?"

I am guessing for the way it streams image from the disk. Playing the whole mountain in one shot, it takes almost an hour. I am guessing some innovation was in use here. Then again I dont know and dont really care, as video game awards mean zippo to me.

I never said Sony or MS are innovative, or looked upon as innovative. What I meant was that NIN has become no differant than the others in terms of innovation, especially to the general public. This may not be their fault however, as little is left to innovate, or at least I think so.
IMO NIN isnt flashy enough for the mainstream, and the result isnt a bias as much as it is an ignoring.

"Of course all of these people fail to realize that without "real" game companies like Sega and Nintendo having a major effect on the console wars the industry will become really stagnant. "

I disagree with this statement 100%.
As far as many people are concerned SEGA and NIN are the ones who have gone stagnent. I am not sure if NIN games would sell any better as third party titles, they just dont appeal to the majority of gamers anymore.

General Chat / RE: Do people even rent games anymore?
« on: February 10, 2004, 01:21:33 AM »
I rent games likes MK DD  and wrestling style games when my brother in law and his wife come over because they are fun to play with 4 people. I just wouldnt play them enough to buy them.

" I think Deguello's right- is SMS REALLY worse than Universal Studios or Charlie's Angels? It looks more like you're just trying to ruffle some feathers."

WRONG!!!

I cannot put into word my hatred for this game.  It has nothing to do with anything else,  except the fact I didnt like the game, no alterior motives what so ever.
The camera, the colors, the movement gave me headaches beyond believe. I honestly couldnt play the game for more than 20 minutes at a time.
So dont jump to conclusion because YOU thought it was great. I honestly didnt like it all, had no fun playing it and havent touched it since.
I would play anything over this and I couldnt be more sincere.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: FF CC comercials? Thoughts?
« on: February 04, 2004, 07:40:10 AM »
I see 50 x-box and PS2 commercials for every gamecube commercial.

Is no one at NIN smart enough to realize that this is a problem?

« on: February 03, 2004, 09:42:34 AM »
"does anyone know if nintendo ever came out with that limited edition gamecube for the japanese baseball team? "

yes they did and it is based on the japanese pitcher from the cleveland indians. It is exactly like the other cubes, the only differance is you put the disk in the back of it, instead of the front.

"I just get tired of hearing about how Brady is the next big thing, when honestly had he been put on a team like Arizona, he would dissapear in a heart beat. "

LOL, you really need to watch more football. Brady is the next big team and would be on any team. This coming from someone who hates the Patriots.
Still waiting for my Colts to win one.

My biggest beefs with sunshine were the fact it was monotonous as hell and the f'in camera, worst camera ever IMO.
I enjoyed Turok ten times more than sunshine.
