At first I figured the circle pad would just run off of the 3DS's battery itself, (guess not).It uses the IR port for communication. The 3DS wasn't designed with external electrical connections, so this was the best option.
For me a big part of videogames is acting out a fantasy.I'm glad I'm not limited by that want. Gaming would be a much sadder place.

Yeah, Java runs as slow as molasses. Its meant to run on any and all architectures so its not optimized in any way.It's optimized, but in such a way as to use up a ton of memory (due to the way it does garbage collection).
Some of those achievements look to be impossible for the average person to get (for example, how would you get 100 StreetPass encounters in 1 day unless you go to something like E3 or PAX?).Live in a Japanese city.
My shitty 4 year old outdated computer barely runs Minecraft on 2gb of RAM.Blame Java. It eats RAM. That's not a good comparison to what would normally run on a console.
