Haha, Bustin, I like how your kids are just giggling in front, as you do your best to inspire fear angst. :D

I was an old-school villain for Halloween this year.

Have been busy working on an extra, rather time-consuming work project, but I'm almost done.

Ah heck, why wait for the sign-up thread, though??? Let's get it going now! *goes to work on sign-up thread*

Stay tuned, folks.

Ah, reliable lumberjack Mike and his faithful purple-haired lumberjack wife, Lyrica. What an intrepid duo.

It's funny how you get so attached to characters that aren't even that well developed. :P

But the gray hair is for sure when he has one point. Actually, all your townspeople turn old when they have a single life point left. It's kinda funny.
But it is supposed to be some sort of symbolism or something? It seems a bit too weird to be done randomly.

I thought it was that he shaved in the morning, and if he stayed up all day/night, he grew a beard...?

Is Corobo the default name for the controlled character?

Did anyone else notice this? When the king has two life points left, he grows a beard. When he has one life point left, his hair turns gray. That seems really strange to me...

Yeah, pretty sure Corobo was the default name.

And actually, I thought he grew a beard when he'd been up all day long... But the gray hair is for sure when he has one point. Actually, all your townspeople turn old when they have a single life point left. It's kinda funny. I dismissed my guard and talked to one of the old dudes, and he started talking about getting old and missing the vigor of his youth, or something like that. Clever touch. :P

Don't get too invested in that plotline, or waste your nights. Just keep talking to the folks, and eventually Lara will (anti-climatically) lay it out for you.

Ah dang. That storyline appears to have just gone away on its own once fall arrived. Oh well. :P

Easycure, I'm beginning to see that you must've been really trucking to get to the point you were by the end of the first year... I'm not even close to going on a date with anyone yet, let alone multiple people. And I foolishly somehow let Bianca and Tabatha leave after summer! I even had the little elephant and everything... (yes, I read a FAQ after that little critter sitting in my barn for months and doing nothing, haha).I even talked to them quite a bit, but apparently not enough...

Buying it and sending it to my number one fan is also another sound option as well.

:D

I'm sorry, but if this supposed system comes out and doesn't feature some sort of increased resolution, I don't think Nintendo gets it.  They can claim its aimed at the older market or whatever, but size isn't what makes the iPhone or the PSP's screen better.  It's resolution!

If this comes out and they are just scaling up the already humongous pixels, I'm not sure what to say.  I mean just look at the grossness.  (Image assumes a baseline 72 dpi monitor).  The original DS looked gross enough due to huge pixels. =P

http://mikegamin.com/temp/dsComparison.jpg

The solution is, don't buy it.

The BETTER solution is, if you feel you must buy it... Buy it, then send it to me. I won't mind the resolution issue! :D

Mushroom girl was hawt, no denying that. But Verde was cute, too, and we'd been together the whole time... I was bummed. I mean, she could be annoying, but she showed her true colors when you had the "Pay Me!" quests... I offered her the top amount, and she turned it down, saying "Use it for the kingdom, I'm just glad you care." or something like that. Oh, Verde, dang you for getting eaten! :'(

You know, this brings up a major issue I have with video games these days. GIVE ME A FREAKING HAPPY ENDING, OK??? Let me have a chance to save my girl. Heck, this bothered me about Metroid Prime 3, too: developers, you spend all this time and effort getting to know these characters, give me an option – make it really difficult to do, I don't care – to save them somehow. It sucked having to fight the bounty hunters in boss battles, even though they were pretty epic and awesome battles...

If I'd known my special rocket ship girl (I chose Verde :( )would get fricking eaten by a giant rat, I would've brought someone I didn't like very much.
Yeah, that did seem a bit odd. I wonder what would happen if you chose the fat princess? Too big to eat maybe? Probably not. Also, I didn't know you could choose Verde, I thought you had to pick a princess...?

Oh, Spumoni... :D I was always concerned she was going to appear at the foot of my bed in the morning, and I'd be missing a leg or have a chunk taken out of my "dumpling" butt. Ahahaha, she was weird.

...In Tyrant Mode, Pancho makes it pretty clear that Kid Corobo is, in fact, "God" in this world...

So there are differences other than just the difficulty in Tyrant mode? Probably not many, but... still, interesting...

I think my most memorable "best plans gone awry" moment happened in... oh I don't know which one, but I was the mafia godfather. I'd infiltrated the townie alliance because I was uninvestigatable, and had pretty much all the townies' trust.

Then the killer killed me one night.

The worst part? He said he'd chosen me randomly – no motive or suspicions or strategy... just stupid luck. Doh! :P

Ok, so I was playing the other day, and it's summer, and all the girls in town were talking about seeing a ghost in town. I stayed up late and wandered till I passed out from fatigue, but never found anything.

Anyone have any idea what's up with that? Also, Lara will never, ever love me because I die all the time. :P

Next up: Decoyman!  HOOOORAY!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, thatguy, heh. I might wait a little while before starting anything, avoid burning anyone out. Maybe two weeks before a sign-up thread goes up. Does that sound ok to everyone?

One thing I liked about this game was that there was no sure thing, even though we had a sheriff... because of Elusive Lucy, you couldn't count on any of the investigations being accurate. We all had to just go based on our gut instincts, and kind of just take a leap of faith that what we were thinking was true.

I was in contact with vudu and UB mostly, trusting that they were townies, and that made it tense but exciting. I didn't know for sure either way, and I kept doubting that I was right, one day thinking UB had to be mafia, the next, vudu had to be mafia... It was really pretty fun, and vindicating to know that in the end, my hunches were right (well, those two).

Also, to those of you saying it isn't fun or interesting when you're just a townie... I had a ton of fun. Randomly voting for people just to see their (and others') reaction, acting totally oblivious in the threads while throwing PMs at vudu and UB and others in secret. It might be a little harder, but it can be totally fun. :P

I'll just say this, vudu and GP got my MVP votes. :thumbsup; UncleBob is a close third.

Speaking of, something I'm going to add for my game will be, in the event of a townie win, holding a vote to let one dead townie share in the win. Say one of the townies was instrumental in the victory, but was offed by the mafia (ahem, GP), the vote would allow that player some of the glory, and even allow people in general during the game to play a little riskier. I think it might be an interesting addition to the game.

As for me, I lived through as a plain townie for the first time ever (I think), but only by acting like I could either BE mafia or by acting oblivious enough that I could be MANIPULATED by the mafia. I confided only in a select few via PM so they could avoid voting me out accidentally. Normally I like to be more involved, but was pretty busy this time. I figured this would be my best bet at survival, and it worked, well, thanks to our very active townie alliance! :D Good game, everybody!

P.S. - Told you guys I wasn't mafia.

I need to level up my skills in crafting. I have made all 4 capes (wind, fire, water, earth) and want to make a black robe already! But i'm not at lvl 95 :(

Well, I had my first storm in the second week of summer. I wondered what was up, why it wasn't letting me go outside. So instead, I just crafted and crafted for as long as I could, interspersing with cooking for items to rebuild my RP. I went up almost 30 levels, which was pretty good, I thought. (of course, I was only at level 3 or 4 before that...)

vudu: if you saw those "mafia eyes" again (from the asteroid), do you think you could ID them???

Try me.

Well, it can't be me. I'm a dotted line – I don't even HAVE eyes, let alone "evil, mafia" ones. How am I even reading all this? you might ask. I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Simple, UB. First, you start responding to PMs.

Second, vudu: if you saw those "mafia eyes" again (from the asteroid), do you think you could ID them???

Third, I've got a funny feeling about this, and I need to vote today. Vote Mop_It_Up*

VOTE UNCLEBOB

Stogi, you're throwing your votes around all willy-nilly. If you don't want your reasoning to be public, want to PM me some evidence? It's Day 6; we should have some by now.
