As Bill said, the draw distance was just spectacular, and also, the water effects were astounding. Who knows how many hours I spent jsut getting to the highest point of the level and looking around, or swimming in the water and looking at the surface glimmer. The textures may not have been up to par, but you really can't call SMS a bad game graphically

Well, Paladin isn't really against online, I don't think. He just doesn't want Nintendo to focus on online at the expense of the game quality, or if the game is released later.

You're right - the last time I saw it was at that Paris Gamers Conference or something like that. It had improved quite a bit, but I didn't see anything that unique for the DS (the bottom screen was a map). If they could do something special with the touchscreen, it would be great. One idea that I have is that, there is an item, most probably a shell, that is very rare, and when you get it you can hit anyone with it. Then, choose the person you want to hit on the touchscreen and there you go. Mario Kart DS is just begging for touchscreen innovations like that, and I hope they happen.

Ineresting that you mention Veruca Salt - there's a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remake coming soon isn't there?

Anyway, we all have our opinions, and I don't think that Paladin is being selfish at all - he just has a different view of what Nintendo should do than you.

Damn, Savior. You're making it sound like Iwata is the spawn of Satan. Reggie says exactly the same thing as Iwata, except in ENGLISH. When Iwata does his interviews in Japanese, it gets lost in translation. If you were Japanese, you would probably be questioning what Reggie was saying as well, but to us it's normal...

I know what you're talking about...a few people I have spoken to are the exact same way. They actually do think that the PSP is capable of playing DVDs and CDs just like that. I can't fathom it - and when I remarked that a real CD wouldn't fit because it was too big, they were dumbfounded. The people I spoke to didn't even know that you had to buy an extra memory card - they thought it was like, as Shaolin said, an iPod.  One person even thought that they could play PS2 games by just popping them in. Oh well - as soon as these types of people figure out exactly what the PSP's functions are, I'm sure they will be returned on the spot.

Yes - that's an online game. However, Sonic was referring to a program on the DS that would allow you to surf the internet on your DS if you are within range of a wireless hotspot. So, something like Internet Explorer on the DS

Well, right now, it isn't confirmed to be on the Gamecube. In fact, at this stage, it is probably going to be on the Revolution - the next Nintendo console would make a good home for Mario 128. And Sunshine wasn't a bad game..it was just a bit unorthodox. I really did like it actually.
