I like that giant work/dragon that Mario fights. He seems like a tough boss. One that will have you slamming your wiimote down. But he might be easy, so we will have to wait and see to find out if it is true or not.

That is probably the first boss. Maybe second after the long legged thing, no way its hard. I'll gladly eat my words if not true though. Now more importantly, no over world?! I can't believe they would take away the hub. It is called hub right? But in all honesty I like classic level advancing and prefer it.

It's necessary that they are sapient but it doesn't really come through in the games unless you really think about it.

Ever so often in Metroid Prime I would walk into a door and sneak up to the pirates, just before you trip those alarms. They would be talking to each other and configuring things on the computers. That always made me feel that they were more than just mindless giant mantis looking things, that and the lore you would download about their history.

But I can't agree more about Ridley I remember reading some booklet or something about Ridley being ultra intellegent(maybe I made that up) but when he acts, he charges like a mindless bull. Actually no, in Prime 1 he actually seemed smart and capable, in Prime 3 he was like a bull who was shown red.

What do you call that which Bulls do and Rambi the Rhino does in DK Country 2, where Rambi charges up to run full speed? That thing, where they scoot the dirt. Why was Ridley doing such things in Prime 3? Just looked and acted like a mindless animal.

I thought the voice acting was fine.

I think the reason we don't see eggs being thrown with our 3D yoshi's is because it's being saved for an actual 3D yoshi's island. The game would be much different if Yoshi always had access to throw things around, at least I think so.

Awesome! I want that in the next pokemon!

Wait the Chazo aren't completely extinct are they? I thought for certain they just up and left to a far off galaxy never to be seen again.

Interesting GP, didn't think about Samus' connection with what could be her only connection to "her people". Well a living breathing organic connection that is.

I've been looking around at a bunch of sites, has anyone seen any gameplay footage of this yet?

I wasn't saying that I minded the Wii controls in Galaxy. That game is my 3rd favorite game ever and I'd consider it more or less perfect. I'm just saying that none of the Wii controls were all that important to the game. The pointer control of Yoshi's tongue, though, couldn't have been done on the GameCube and would have required some kind of lock-on system.

I see. And yes thats exactly how Yoshi's tongue worked in Sunshine. Only now his tongue is able to manipulate things in the environment, and since we can point, we won't accidently eat a fruit when we want to eat an enemie.

I wouldn't say tacked on but I do understand where you are coming from. Shaking to spin feels as good as button press to me so I don't mind it. And using the pointer to pull mario along always felt amazing to me.

But aiming yoshi's tongue is pretty awesome, it doesn't have to auto lock in 3D space. But what else am I missing that yoshi does that makes great use of the wiimote? This really makes me believe 3rd person anything that requires any type of shooting should be very viable now.

I hope Nnitendo has a good story narrative for this game.

Theres no way you were born in 89. You've gotta be like 13 right? Not making fun, but your young right? Or did you just recently get into Nintendo say during the GameCube era?

Can't wait to see more. After sunshine I really thought that was Nintendo's way of testing out a 3D Yoshi platformer, really surprised we havn't seen anything like that yet. Looks like Yoshi has more importance here than Sunshine and NSMBW combined, which is always good. Though if one was trying to get every shine in Sunshine I will argue that yoshi was very important in a few levels, where one could not continue on with out him.

The first shots of the game looked very much like Galaxy, but most of that trailer looks very new and fresh. That dragon is awesome!

I dont have an amazing deal, but didn't know where to post this. But the Pink and Blue wiimotes are out! The guy at gamestop said they came out 2 weeks ago, who knew? But they both come with motion plus, and they each cost more than a game at like 54.99.  But they are blue and pink and they are out!

IGN has a hands on preview. If anyone cares to read. Sounds pretty good.

For some reason I can't seem to get direct links any more from there. www.ignwii.com But here is what I found most interesting.

Quote
The Wii Motion Plus noticeably spices up the swordplay. Not only does it recognize horizontal and vertical swipes as well as direct stabs forward, it recognizes subtle and hard attacks depending on how fast you're swiping the Wii remote. In fact, there are enemies within Red Steel 2 that require hard attacks to break their armor before you can take them down proper – wimpy slashes won't have any effect until their shielding is gone.

The sword swinging isn't exactly 1:1 like it is in Wii Sports Resort, but this is something we knew about since the E3 demo: the way the game's designed, you slash the remote and then the game calculates what you did and represents it as an attack a split-second later. It seems like something like this would be ripe for lag, but it feels pretty natural and you really won't even notice the millisecond between controller slash and on-screen attack.

Now I wish I could say that it was flawless, but it isn't. In my early playthrough some attacks were represented as stabs and diagonal slashes couldn't decide between horizontal or vertical. And the finisher moves – the gesture attacks you make after an enemy's been weakened – are clearly using old-school Wii remote motions because they can be faked in a different direction than what the attack requires. For example, there will be a "downward slash" gesture icon over a weakened foe, but you can activate the finisher by swiping upwards – it's only looking for motion in these instances, not the specific direction.

But even though it's still not a perfect Wii Motion Plus product, it is still a very fun game with good, tight control where it counts. The lock-on technology keeps the action snappy by keeping your character pointed to the closest threat, so you can take him down without focusing too much on camera aiming. The developers implement some decent tech to keep players looking forward even when pulling the remote away from the screen to swipe the sword: the reticule will shift from its "aim" target to a simple dot when you're slashing the Wii remote, locking the camera so that before and after an attack the viewpoint doesn't stray from the action.

You know she was standing completely upright so I doubt her stance was limiting at all. But she is a bit past her prime, she is in her 30's now and not quite as fast as she used to be when she had to train on her team. I wouldn't doubt that she actually went faster than the snake if thats what the machines are saying, but there are much faster hands out there thats for sure. One thing I don't understand, is that they didn't measure the distance between the snake and the balloon. So how did they calculate the distance? Maybe i'm just remembering it wrong, but there was something that made me go "what a sec, how could they come to that when they didn't do this". Not sure though.

All I know is that fight like an Animal was a bunch of hogwash! I should of been the monkey consarnit!

Episode: Fight Like an Animal!

5/10 HORRENDUS! Take a look at the preview

I used to think Nat Geo was pure and true! Good god was I wrong!

First Glen Levy (yeah the guy who hit me with the devastating hammer fist) was representing Crane Wushu/Kungfu. He is a friend of mine and I love the guy, but trust me when I say he is NOT the guy who should be demonstrating that. It just looked really awful. And they barely talked about the combative techniques of the Crane. Terrible.

Li Jing of the Beijing wushu team was representing snake style. She knew what she was doing, but I wish she just composed herself differently during the tests if her hands were faster than the snakes. Plus she got picked over me and a few other guys in the next Star Wars video game so naturally I'm biased.

Tiger Guy was awesome, and what was said and done was great and spot on.

Wong Wei was the Mantis, dude is amazing! Also another friend of mine from China, who taught me many monkey techniques. His skill is top notch! But they had him literally catching flies like a mantis. They put him in a giant tank of hundreds of dirty flies too see if he could catch them. They gave all this sciency mumbo jumbo about how he caught 7 of them. LAME! Again nothing about how a Mantis guy would actually fight.

The monkey... ugh! This guy isn't even a Monkey Martial Artist, at least not as far as how they introduced him. He is a free runner who incorporated Monkey wushu into his movements! He is a blasted gymnast and they had him swinging on trusts like a monkey! That is absolutely not Monkey style! He did like 2 true monkey movements the entire time, and the rest was watching him flip and hang around like spider-man. You know what makes it worse?! I was auditioned by the producers to be the monkey on this episode, and obviously I was turned down. But it didn't matter to me because as far as monkey was concerned I felt there were people who were much better. BUT THIS GUY!? I bet not in a 100 years could he even explain how a monkey practitioner strikes!

NAT GEO really let me down with this one. I seriously have to think twice before I can trust something from them again.

Hahahaha, thanks Kashogi, I even have Ray Parks personal cell in my contacts on my phone. But knowing these "big" actors means nothing for my own career, hahaha. I havn't done squat that was even slightly noteworthy yet.

I will be sure to mention the Barry thing to him, what ever it is, I imagine he would know what I was talking about. He loves to talk about that kind of stuff. When the last Batman came out he wouldn't quiet down about how his part was much bigger between him and Joker, but much of it was cut out.

God Bless America! I say that in an angry tone like my mom used to do when I broke something. I would rather not think about this Media Summit, but now I am expecting at least either Donkey Kong, Star Fox, F-Zero or Kid Iccarus. How could I not get excited after reading such claims?

Micheal J White is friend of mine, and I remember him walking into my school one day for a meeting telling me this just came out. I didn't think anything of it, but after seeing the trailer I am very very interested. Looks funny!
