What is with these girls? Good lawd! Every time I turn around I catch a girl saying she is "a model and only dates 15-18, who wants to video chat?"

But this person Phish is talking to... a dude 100%. All he did was choose a woman's Mii. You can bet on it. Chris Hanson needs to quit cheating on his wife and get his team on Miiverse!

*shrug* IF the WiiU had parity with all the Media features of the PS3 then it would be a better Smart TV.

I would argue that Miiverse is more concentrated on topic and thats its strengths.  When games implement it they naturally guide their part of Miiverse to be about their game.

Yeah keeping the topics to the games and apps only is a big plus. Of course people just talk about anything they want anyway, but their minds are guided by the game or app they are in.

The great thing is you know everyone on there plays video games, no worries about being judged for our dude bro hobby.

I love reading big statements from Iwata like this. He seems like he understands a lot and is a genuinely nice guy. I wonder if he is inexplicably evil at home? Glad a brought up the improvement of the OS speed, which I would like to be faster but don't really have any issue with regardless.

I'm also glad he brought up the DS as well, I remember that first unveiling to that ugly little device and how it compared to the PSP. Sure enough with the right 2 games the DS took off and never looked back.

With Wii Nintendo got lucky right off the bat with Wii Sports and Wii Fit. You know they are trying to find that spiritual successor right now that will attempt to bring over more of the none gaming world which is not a bad thing. It's amazing how short sited the whole industry is when judging sales early and then late in a gaming life's span.

I drew a hedgehog (a realistic one, not Sonic) next to some poop a while ago and it got deleted by the Miiverse police. Now the thing is it was classed as "sexual" in some way. I replied back and said I didn't break any rules I got told to read the Miiverse code of conduct.

There are some very kinky people working at Nintendo. People who may enjoy 2 girls 1 cup.

Hahaha! If only you could respond directly to them and tell the that, hahaha.

I got a post deleted for telling someone they had a drinking problem. Hahaha.

I want to read an article where the writer condemns something but it turns out amazingly awesome in the final product and sales.

Can't wait for new type combinations! I'd love for Grass and poison to either get a little more defensive or offensive as well.

We may one day get a new type, but what would it be? Light or something heavenly like that?

What's important now is more moves and abilities that clear the battle field of hazards and/or permanent weather. Not just negate them for that specific Pokemon but get rid of them all together. I love that moves like spikes, stealth rock, and toxic spikes prevent abusive switching, but man some Pokemon are utterly destroyed when they enter sometimes. But it's permanent rain and sand that are arguably more over powered than anything.

I thought we were close with defog but it only clears the opponents side in 1vs1...

I like reading GAF because it's so active but man, I don't see how a Nintendo fan can leave that place without feeling depressed. But it's gamer culture, just like sports culture except we rarely kill each other.

So what is Wii U's total now WW? Like 2 Million?

I'm probably going to get the smites for this, but as much as I love Pokemon, this is the series that Nintendo can afford to be lazy with. What looked to be running across a spider web and swinging from tree to tree may be nothing more than GYM experiences that are seen no where else but that particular Pokemon gym. I look at the foot pad for launching off and I realize exploring will probably be largely the same as before.

Now I obviously don't know for sure, but I am personally not getting my hopes up despite always getting my hopes up for everything else.  I'm just keeping the games history in mind when I analyze the trailer. Still though, exploring those ancient ruins in the deserts and deep sea are thrilling to me! But I'm not counting on much more than we have already experienced before.

As for the battles I have to be Downer Debbie again. You should all prepare yourselves for Pokemon Stadium like battles but faster with more dynamic angles. Pokemon battle revolution was made with the idea to make the battles look as exciting as possible, it was actually a considerable step down from Pokemon Stadium 2 despite making contact.

If HP is reduced and gained quickly the battles may just move quickly which would be great. But trust me when I say the Pokemon will not appear any more alive then they did in all the other 3D battle games. I can already see that with the Gen 1-4 Pokemon in trailer, they have the same exact animations, where they just kind of sit there. That isn't worse than any other RPG but I feel like with the same creatures used over and over for these 3d titles they could use at least 2 idle animations. Maybe just pacing back and forth watching the opponent or anything.

Again they very well could surprise us with full HP idle animations, mid HP, and Low HP, but what ever you remember from the Pokedex 3D Pro and the Stadium type games you will see exactly that and nothing but for the entire game.

It's not all bad though, because if there are plenty of attacking animations where one monster invades the space of another things will certainly look more interesting. What appeared to be Feint Attack or Quick Attack from Froakie in the trailer may be a hint at whats to come.

As much as I can't stand the flaws in the 3D battles I stick with it because the battle system is so deep and so fun and I love new Pokemon thrown into the mix.

The graphics certainly don't wow me in the slightest. I naively thought we would see something comparable to Pokedex 3D Pro, though those models will certainly be used for the Wii U 3D battle game. The only thing that wowed me was that it was in full 3D period.

The style does look like the proper direction to take after the sprite based games, It just looks more like a DS game than a brand new 3DS game is all. I wish the soon to be cut scenes didn't look so(for lack of a better word) realistic compared to the main game. Should be done in the same style. Hopefully Z will have some noticable graphical improvements.

I was just looking over the posts and Racht, that Little Mac is fantastic! Not a pity compliment either!

I did one more with a new X Pokemon, but I got to cool it on the dialogue, no room for a picture.

GaW Hammer takes the gold though. I was surprised it didn't get much notice though. Oh well.

I wonder how many Ian's and EasyCures are actually out there? I am the pokenut, who in some cases view it as a way of life. I've been playing in tournies and going to events for over a decade now. I make sure my daughter has poke dolls has her primary doll, has over 700 hours on each version and I'm the type who has literally at least 1 of every Pokemon in the box and no space for extras. I was going to buy this regardless, even though I so desperately wanted a facelift.

But now I see guys like IanCure on other forums as well coming out of the woodworks. I predict the 3DS is going to outsell DS with this Pokemon title eclipsing all the others. Nah not really, but wouldn't be surprised.

I'm probably showing my ignorance of Pokemon by asking this, but is Froakie really the first time they've created a Pokemon that's similar to a frog? You'd have thought they would have already used the frog motif already.

Yar har har!
Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath are all Tadpol Pokemon.
Politoad in Gen 2 is a frog or a toad.
Gen 4 has Groagunk and Toxicroak.
Gen 5 has Tympol, Palpatoad and Seismetoad.

In this very trailer there is a statue of Palpatoad.

So yeah there are a few frog/toad Pokemon and I love them all!

Froakie is going to evolve into one of the United States' founding fathers. Probably into who ever wore the biggest powdered wig. I think that's where the inspiration comes from. That and foamy tree frogs when they mate in the trees.

- Yeah this game is certainly set in Europe this time around, which is cool.

- Still grid based, but not a big deal.

- Pokemon from every generation showcased so far. So at least a full on Gen 1 and 2 type lock out wont be happening. Doesn't mean a R/S remake wont happen. Though I liked R/S the least, if it's in 3D then ok I'll bite.

- back grounds during battles actually look like something. Doesn't seem like much right now, but it's a major step up to what we used to have. Pokemon Stadium 2 had some nice back grounds during battles, looked like you were actually battling in a real location rather than some random game world battle zone.

- The Pokemon make contact which is good, but for corn sakes if it's like battle revolution all the fun will be sucked out of the battles. So far the the attacks seem quick and pretty interesting, in battle revolution, watching Infernape run a Flair Blitz over to Empoleon was painful. The animation was laughably slow while Empoleon just sat there.

From the little that I can see the Pokemon will have the same single looping animation over and over and that's lame, but maybe not. We'll see.

All I'm really hoping for is some varied attack and idle animations.  Can't wait to see wrap and bind, hahaha.

- Last thing, with all these old Pokemon appearing in the trailer, you can bet new evolutions and pre-evolutions are upon us! Start your wishing! My hopes are on Primeape, Pegasus Rapidash, and Heatmor.

I already know what this is. I just hope the battles look fast and interesting.

With the way things started, I have no doubt Nintendo is at least trying to get 3rd party games on Wii U, its just clear more than ever that there is an industry wide conspiracy against them.

I don't even know if I'm joking.

Much appreciated! I wanted to add more but the text it's self took up a 3rd of the picture. Next for me is Ridley.

I wish I didn't make it so late at night, the english speaking guys barely got to see it.

As for your Slippy I gotta make a follow up picture to it. I love the guy, but I know i'm in the minority, so lots of funny can come from that.

Been on penis patrol a lot lately. Super detailed, super hairy, super vainy, yuck.
