Now, however, I have a useless copy of the PAL version of Xenoblade I can't do anything with. Anyone in the EU want a copy? It still has the EU Club Nintendo Stars Registration code.  I'd gladly trade it for a copy of Disaster; Fatal Frame 2; or Pandora's Tower. If anyone in NA wants it, well...DM me on Twitter @broodwars64.

I've got an extra copy of Disaster laying around somewhere and I've somehow misplaced my copy of Xenoblade. So yeah if you're keen, I'd trade.

Tell me, what is the downside of having balanced characters for all levels of play?

Pretty much this. Why does it seem that some people in this thread are arguing for an unbalanced roster?

This might sound strange, but I would really like to see a sequel to Disaster: Day of Crisis for the Wii U. However, unlike the original game this one would be developed by a western company (not Retro). This alone would make it much better than the original, but I really like the premise of that game. It's poorly executed design and presentation is what killed it. What I am looking for is a game with the open world gameplay of say a game like GTA IV coupled with Arkham City and graphics that push the Wii U hardware very well. Of course this will never happen, so it is relegated to my imagination.

Wow, it's sounds like you've played the original Disaster thoroughly. Or are you just parroting someone else's opinion without having played the game?

Disaster was a fantastic game and I've played through it a bunch of times. Sure, it's not your typical AAA Nintendo title, I'd compare it more to a B-grade movie. It's a lot of fun albeit a little rough around the edges. And I'd love to see a sequel.

God, out of all the movies to associate Martin Scorcese with you went with Shutter Island? That's straight-up cray.

but I'm still concerned that she may drag the game out in the platforming areas.

This game isn't Uncharted, who says there will be platfomring areas?

Didnt the first mass effect get released on ps3 eventually?

Nope, they had some interactive comic thing instead.

Oh, and I would also add that Storm and most of the X-men are not actually Avengers.  Only Wolverine is.   Marvel Nerd Forever!

But she was an Avenger, she just chose to side with the X-Men in AvX.

Yeah, people pop in and out.

UncleBob has been in there for a while, but the only thing I've seen him write is "I AM GOING TO DRAIN THE BLOOD OF A THOUSAND YOUTHS!"

Count me into the PTO parade (though they asked me). Probably going to flip over to Spike (TV) and troll the chatroom.

Having anybody in the chatroom is a nice thing.

This is embarrassing.

287
So Ellen Page is in BEYOND and The Last of Us?

288
God, Jack Tretton is soooo boring.

edit: Also did Ubisoft mention anything about Beyond Good & Evil 2?

289
It looks like a straight-up Metroid Prime clone.

Also people should go in the chat room..

290
Hmm I'm most interested in the Sony conference, but it's the one I'll least likely be able to watch seeing as it'll start at 10:30 in the morning here and I have a buttload of stuff to get done tomorrow.

291
God, I'm useless with time conversions. Is there a countdown for these things anywhere?

292
Despite how stupid your opening post is perm, I don't think abandoning the other thread is a great idea. And besides this thread is on rumours.

293
Here's hoping it doesn't play like those god awful MK games. The most recent one is okay at best.

Yeah, I think in the west, we haven't really nailed how to make good fighting games.  Hello Marvel: Rise of the Imperfects.  Hello DC vs. Mortal Kombat.  Hello War Gods.   Hello Pit Fighter.   I can go on all day.

Does anyone else see the irony in that the poster who made this comment also has a Killer Instinct avatar?

294
I just saw the trailer. It looks pretty violent.
Yeah, it does. This game is definitely on my one-to-watch list.

Um, you might want to lighten up because you know what he means and it's not a big deal. Maybe you shouldn't take everything so literally...

So then by "literally", you mean it metaphorically? :-P

He made a mistake, and I pointed it out in good humor-- You're right, it's not a big deal which is why I chose to have fun with it in the first place.

Which one of us really needs to lighten up?

Oh the irony, it's almost too much. I would suggest actually you read the dictionary meaning of literally before you try and "correct" someone on its usage.

Quote from: da dictionary
lit·er·al·ly /ˈlitərəlē/ adv.
1. In a literal manner or sense; exactly: "the driver took it literally when asked to go straight over the traffic circle".
2. Used to acknowledge that something is not literally true but is used for emphasis or to express strong feeling.

And yes, it doesn't really make sense, that's why it's a little bit of a contentious definition, but it has been that way for a long time.

Movies & TV / Re: Rate the last TV show you've seen

Season 1 is great. Season 2 fell off the wagon a bit, but still wasn't horrible. I have only watched 3 episodes from Season 3, but it already seems better than S2.

297
Ugh, why would you leave over something so trite? You're a good member, I'm pretty sure everyone would rather you stick around even if UE4 doesn't end up on the Wii U.

All the biggest forthcoming titles from Capcom look pretty promising. RE6 looks better than RE5, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. DmC looks good too, I'm really digging the style and as long as they don't fiddle with the gameplay too much I'm sure it'll be a fine game. Not to mention Lost Planet 3 actually looks not boring compared to the first two, so yeah not really sure where you're coming from, bro.
