We don't talk about politics on here.  That's forbidden.

Don't get me started.  :P

However, at least those 2 meet the other criteria of being noteworthy chapters of Nintendo's own history.

Smash stopped being only about Nintendo's history the moment they added Sonic.

I watched a movie last night where three old white guys spent 90% of the time yelling at each other mostly incoherently.  It was terrible and I would not recommend.  Somehow, there's already two sequels and a spin-off slated.

I know folks complain about Michael Bay special effects, but I was to the point I was praying we'd get a huge explosion or something during the movie.  It was just bad.

Bah.  You youngins with your fancy new-age wars.  Back in my day, I was conscriped as a child in the original great war under Commander George Plimpton.  We fought the scourge of the Atari Force.  Once we started gaining ground, the enemy used General Warshaw to run a scortched earth gambit, destroying the landscape for years to come.

I'm thinking if Corona ever isn't a thing, it could be fun to organize some kind of after-hours retailtainment event at work.  Or talking the owners of a deserted mall into letting us have some fun.

I want two of those Game and Watches. 🤣

That said, I don't understand the decision to remake Ball (again) for this release.

Nintendo litterally released a Super Mario Bros. Game and Watch in 1986.

As far as Game and Watch games go, it's pretty cool.

Game and Watch Ball again?  I can't imagine anyone is excited for *that*.

Someone would be excited for SMB G&W.  Me.

Nothing major, but considering it would literally cost nothing, I see no disadvantages.

161
It's so minor, but I wish they had released the +World version.  I mean, you can already play World on NSO, but re-releasing this version would give everyone the chance to enjoy it and the very minor, subtle changes.

162
I appreciate this idea and look forward to trying it out... but damn, Nintendo... SUPER Mario Bros. 35?

A Mario Bros. 35 has a lot of potential for a "Battle Royale" type game.  We haven't seen an updated version of this since you gave us 4-player Mario Bros. Advance back in the day.

163
It seems like a really, really sleazy thing to do.

I get what Nintendo is thinking, but... How many people

A.) Have access to a Wii U
B.) Care about Pikmin 3
C.) Don't own Pikmin 3 already
D.) Can't find a used physical copy
E.) Own a Switch and will now buy the Switch version at full retail?

I feel like that subset of people is so small, it's going to be greatly overshadowed by the number of double-dippers.  There's being business-savvy, then there's being Scroogian levels of penny pinching.

General Chat / Re: Cell phone discussion

Looks like I should have peeked in this thread some time ago.

My first phone was the LG VX6100.  That dates me a bit.  From there, I lusted after the glorious LGG VX 9800 - The V.  Finally got in on the LG VX9900 - the EnV.  Then popped up to the LG VX10000 - The Voyager, commanded by Captain Janeway.

At some point after that, I finally joined the smartphone/android family with the Samsung Stratosphere, then, sometime in 2013ish, I upgraded to the Stratosphere 2... and until two days ago, that was the phone I still had.  Yes, I was sporting a seven year old phone and wasn't that interested in upgrading, thus I did not think I had anything to add  to or gain from this thread.

About two weeks ago, I found out from Verizon that they hate me and are retiring their CDMA network at the end of the year.  This is going to slaughter many older phones, including my precious Stratosphere 2.  So, I needed a new phone.  It wasn't so much that I didn't *want* a new phone, but that all these newfangled phones are missing a feature I have come to love.  If you're familiar with older phone models (or bothered to search the models listed above), you'll probably be able to guess what that feature is.

A physical QWERTY keyboard.  At this point, pokepal has to be all "hey hey hey!"

Now, there's been a few attempts at physical keyboards since 2013 - but who tf wants a squished Blackberry keyboard?  Go home, Blackberry.  The Stratosphere 2 was the last decent smartphone with a keyboard.  Ever since Steve Jobs came along with his vision of the future that included no buttons, every major cell phone manufacturer has been chasing the design of the iPhone, failing to realize or acknowledge that they'll never catch up with Apple's sales because, no matter how they design their phones, they won't have an Apple logo on them and Apple fans are second only to Nintendo fanatics when it comes to brand loyality.  Instead of trying to cater to underserved niche markets, they're all just copying Apple and doing a **** job of it.

Enter f(x)tec and the Pro1.  Now, I'm not ready to do a full review of this phone yet - I've had it two days and I have to decide what things are actual design issues versus what things are just "not the same as the phone I've had for seven years" (Seriously, why don't you have sticky shift key out of the box, phone?), but my initial impressions are very favorable.

The immediate downside is that the phone has an 8-12 week waiting period to get - and if some of the complaints on the forum are to be believed, some people have been waiting much longer.  Thankfully, I scored a lovingly used phone from someone who got it and did not like it as much as they had hoped - I would have prefered a brand new one, but with Verizon killing my phone "by the end of the year" and their undependable shipping issues, I didn't want to leave it to chance.

tl:;dr  pokepal, I'm on the f(x)tec Pro1 train.

If that's your definition of a sandwich, then the KFC Double Down isn't a sandwich.

The chicken is breaded, so it still qualifies.

End thread.

You said Ghostwire and I immediately thought of the defunct DSi title.  Wondered how that'd work on a console.  Had to look and it's unrelated.  Now am sad, Ghostwire DSi sounded like a lot of fun,

I kinda want them to release an online Compatible version of Vs. Tennis.  It allowed for four-player doubles play if you were fortunate enough to find a Vs. Dual Cabinet and an arcade owner who wanted two copies of Tennis on it.

So I should probably hold all the fish until we figure out if we need to reset. And then sell them in someone elses town for more money, and the have someone hold that money for us so we can atleast get the bells, items, and fossils back?
