I think the nunchuk cost $20(US) because it still has that motion sensor, don't you think?

Also, how about taking a look at the controller's size in regards to what it has inside? You guys know that the more it does and the more compact it is, a piece of technology will always be expensive, just look at cell phones when bought without a contract or some other deal.

The controller would be alot cheaper if it was just one controller altogether which would be much easier and cheaper to manufacture, but that's not the case.

I wonder how much one of those sparkling innovations from Sony is going to cost, remember it doesn't have rumble.

Massmarket? Need I say iPod...look at how much their 1st generation pieces of trash cost, yet they were still flying off the shelves.

I think VC prices are just fine, I just want to know what are the Canadian prices, officially released prices, no conversions please.

Humans are made of wants and desires, therefore bitching is forthcoming.

Do I care about the remote speaker? Not really, but I am interested in seeing how it works.

What if they're pretending to be a girl?

KDR > LOL, they were fighting for a refund, gosh, only Sony.
Wasn't Sony also touting for the PS3 to be perceived as a computer just to evade those same fees?

NoC is responsible for the uncommon commercials the US never gets, the cheaper than usual pricetag for the Wii, etc...just fyi.

couchmonkey > Ummm you don't have to buy 3 extra controllers, most likely you will have friends that will end up having a Wii...however, I bet you will have to get at least 1 extra nunchuck/remote controller, and 2 VC controllers.

I haven't made a budget list for myself yet because I still want more official details in regards to Canadian prices, and I want to see an official launch game list too.

Just in case you didn't know, Europe has some wierd laws and specially in regards to consoles/computers (to put it simply), if you followed Sony dealings with trying to make the PS2 to be considered a computer then you know what I'm talking about, btw, Sony was denied and so now they have to pay them an awful huge amount in taxes that they "evaded" or at least tried to evade.
So I think that's why Europe always pays more when it comes to Nintendo products because they are never considered to be a computer, it's a console.
I bet that Nintendo could pass the Wii as console, but they would have to get someone really good to defend their case.

I was going through the new SMBB pics and noticed a pic that was in 1st-person view and you could see that your character had boxing gloves and was about to face an opponent.

I wouldn't be so pissed about the lack of component cable normally, but the household's last standard TV is about to be replaced, leaving me with only widescreen options...I should be jumping for joy that my family can afford sweet high def TVs, but not when it means *I* can't afford BIG DAMN TRUCKS at launch.

Yeah, I see what you mean.
I on the other hand have to wait and see if I can use my GC component cables on the Wii, that's why I said that we have to wait until we get real official news.

I still want official word from the NoC itself.
I'm going to try and see if I can get VGM to get a straight answer from NoC, but as they themselves have said it many times before NoC is being a b!tch in regards to info, etc.
NoC gets some pardon for the $279.95 and the $59.99 1st-party titles, but I'm still dissapointed that we don't get treated the same way as the people south of the border, I'm talking about the fact that I want some hands-on the Wii in some public event i.e. concerts/conventions/etc.

Oh, damn, thanks for correcting me Arbok.
Btw did you get the new Gojira dvd? I'm just wondering how it is in terms of quality, because a few weeks ago I did a mass purchase of dvds and Gojira was in that purchase-list but I have yet to recieve because fee shipping on amazon.ca takes forever...

Hmm...now that's a nice way to make the Wii black, except you really can't make a good sticker for the nunchuk controller.

I've gotten the Black ds lite 3 days ago, even though my older ds does work perfectly.
I too want a matching Wii, but I think I'm going to have to be less picky if I want to be playing Wii as soon as it is released.
I haven't seen the pink ds lite yet though, but then again it's not going to be something I will be searching for.

TalkBack / RE: Details on Samus First 4 Figurines
« on: September 17, 2006, 12:42:41 PM »
I would buy it, but I just don't like the pose.

I'm a statue/figurine collector, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to stuff that costs $30+(CAD), I think the most I've spent was $115(CAD) and it was at half-price.

Oh btw, depending on the material it is made of is a factor for it's price, I'm not an expert so I can 't say if these "high quality poly-stone" statues are worth the $99.

Yesterday, when I went to the closest FS to buy me the beautiful Onyx DSLite, and before I left, I asked this "guy" if they started doing Wii preorders, he said "no, I think online only". When I got home I rechecked if I could preorder online and obviously we can't.

It seems BestBuy.ca hasn't changed their site too, and Amazon.ca still doesn't have a Wii informative link like FS or BB has. I have yet to go to a Walmart or EB to confirm anything.

I'm not going to pre-order anyway, I will go buy it the first day it is on sale, including games and accesories.

TalkBack / RE: Impressions of the North American Press Event
« on: September 15, 2006, 05:04:40 PM »
That looked so much better for the press than E3 was.
It's good to know that the press could have more time with the demos and hence we get explicit impressions rather than a "rushed" impression.
If you sat for an hour, playing Zelda on a 60" screen, and had no problem with PQ, that just makes me happier about my TV purchase.
