TalkBack / RE: Retro Studios Taking a Break From Metroid
« on: August 30, 2007, 02:54:37 PM »
Major MP3 spoiler:

I think a BSM should get their own game! All the NPCs would want to chat with him but he'd just act busy at his desk job through the whole game, depending on his busy meter.

I just noticed the little "light" in the very top center of the visor changes from green to yellow to red depending on the status of your remote batteries.

Should've delayed it again so they could mirror the whole game and port it to gamecube.

What was the first boss, Beserker Lord?. My save file says I'm 3h:35min into it but I'm sure it's closer to 6 (lots of scanning and wandering around) and I think I triggered a couple death-by-glitches in the obligatory escape scene . What a messed up game.

Backtracking has been replaced with halo 2 and return of the jedi

TalkBack / RE: No NWR Metroid Review Today or Soon

The nerve of these people. This is how they treat their biggest game of the year so far? One of their most highly-respected and long-running series? 4 days of commercials and limited reviews?

Screw them. No, make that Screw Attack em.

Ohh gawsh. So MP3's plot is that the whole game is a dream? Might as well just change Doki Doki Panic to metroid characters

That was nothing compared to Viewtiful Joe, nothing. It gave me a great sense of accomplishment only when I slammed it into the return box at blockbuster.

July's Time magazine has a short Q&A with Miyamoto on page 4. His shirt has the iwata-miyamoto-reggie Miis on it and he's standing in a boxing ring with the controller.

Also yahoo has a list of 10 IQ-exercising games on the front page right now.. the first 4 are all Brain Age games.

« on: August 20, 2007, 01:17:36 PM »
I say family first, always. Unless they're a nongamer; once my cousin admitted they bought electroplankton so now they aren't invited to thanksgivings or christmases for a long time.

Maybe not Malon, but what about those bugs that run around when you pick up a rock? They could, ah, really do some.. damage! And.. hide in the ground!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Shiggy speaks about Casual and Hardcore games
« on: August 13, 2007, 07:31:51 PM »
I remember some videogames used to have this one thing in the menu, it was great; you could choose Easy, Medium, or Hard, and the game would either be Easy, Medium, or Hard, depending on which one you selected. I wish the Wii could do that.
