Nintendo Gaming / RE:2 Zelda's on DS?
« on: February 19, 2005, 09:56:07 AM »
What does style have to do with anything?  If it plays like a 2D platformer, but has 3D graphics, that still makes it a 2D platformer.

As for the game front...I just want some Zelda action for my poor, underused DS.  Is that too much to ask?

He says they worked hard to make this game mode take full advantage of the DS's second screen. He won't say much about it, other than it employs an important GPS tool on the bottom screen and that the gameplay has something to do with managing turf wars and simultaneously getting the best times, or something like that.

In other words, it's a fancy map screen.

A gamer could buy a starter disc for 10 euros. When he goes home he goes online and he could buy AI and levels as you go.

Did I read this right?  Is Sony planning on doing this?  is Microsoft?

That is the stupidest idea I have ever heard.

Holy crap.  A Japanese Dating Sim on the DS?

Rawk!

Maybe Sprung set a precedent.  American gamers can dig a Dating Sim.

==Edit==
Maybe I should click links before making posts.  Unless it's an unorthodox dating sim, as it said you may be controlling 4 to 5 characters.

Still...more RPG goodness.

I still stand behind my "Rawk!" statement.

Yes, as long as you don't want to set other people on fire.

Like a certain reviewer.

Yeah...my enthusiam has taken a huge blow since I read the impressions...

But you bring up a good point HC.  Comparing to SF64 isn't very fair...

Still...I'm suddenly having second thoughts about buying it on release day.

Oh what should I do?  *sobs*

and how are they loading up the huge areas shown in that Zelda vid without a harddrive which is also rummored to be packaged in with the next system?

It's called the Nintendo Magic...  (Seriously, you don't need a harddrive if you have skill)

To back up Bill's statement...

Hrm...I'm a little disappointed that it does that...

But I suppose I can find it in my heart to forgive Namco for it.

Ah...those videos indeed rocketh.

For once, I am looking forwards to Valentines day for all the wrong reasons.

I'm just glad I don't have a girlfriend.  It would be a tough decision...flowers and chocolate...or Starfox...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: vga box?? please help
« on: January 31, 2005, 10:27:16 AM »
No...it would not.  The plug that goes into the back of the GC is different than the DC.

However, you can typcially pick up a GC VGA cord for $10-$15 if you look hard enough.

Sucks to be me.

I can't load the page...so I'll just have to take you guy's word for it.

Alas...with no Blockbuster or Hollywood Video in my area...I won't get to rent it early...

I had heard about the co-op as well.

That wasn't the reason I was getting the game, but it'll be a nice addition.

Yeah...when I saw the art for Falco, my first thought was "They turned Falco into a bishounen?"

I guess it's to offset the exxxtreme Kyrstal joining the ranks.

Yeah...I'm hoping the ground missions are decent...but even if they aren't, the Classic(tm) Starfox action will be worth suffering through them, at the least.

That, and it'll be nice to give Falco a missile facial...other than on SSBM, that is...

I can see it now...Link rides up to Kakariko villiage, bodies strewn all over the place, blood dripping from the walls of burning houses and a small band of moblins are ravishing Anju as her cuccos lay half eaten at their feet.

Link steps off his horse, pulls his sword, and the Godsmack starts.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: N64 -> DS
« on: January 26, 2005, 06:24:30 PM »
There are only two games I would like to see come from the 64 to the DS.

Conkers Bad Fur day has already been mentioned, and I would maim a [insert name of religion here] person to get my hands on Starfox64 DS.

Wifi multiplayer Starfox...I get giddy and excited just thinking about that.

I tried to use C-elda in a "ironic" manner the other day, and was a little surprised at the results.

However, I found a with a little creative typing I could get my point across.

I admit, I was a little put off at first, and was actually quite miffed that I couldn't just say the word...but it is a little humourous, and I wouldn't have minded as much had someone told me about it beforehand.

But...not a problem.  I especially like the new one for boy-cott.

...I just noticed this, and I don't know if it's been commented on yet...

But LoZ2K5 seems to have an M rating.

Hrmm...I wonder if the higher ups here at PGC know something they aren't telling us about... =P

I look at it this way...

Ganondorf will come back, most likely because of this.  He may need the Triforce of Power to turn in big Piggy Dude Thing, but if it is the same Ganondorf from OOT as is implied...maybe he was made immortal by the ToP when he first got ahold of it...and doesn't need it to remain immortal.  And since, that triforce is intrinsically tied with ol' G now, the ToC keeps bringing in a Link to fight him when it needs it.

Hell, I don't know.  I'm just thinking out loud here.
