I come from the other side of the tracks.  I was a Sega fanboy throughout my adolescence (thats not to say we didn't have an NES.  I just went the route of Sega when that time came).   I did get to play some SNES games, mostly through my Nintendo owning friends, but I was a diehard Sega fanboy, right up until the Dreamcast bit the dust.

From there, I had a decision to make.  And, I went with the Gamecube because the Wind Waker had just been released and all the awesome things I heard about Metroid Prime.

I mean, hell.  I might have been a diehard Sega fanatic, but I still loved Zelda!

Erm...I've watched A New Hope on Laserdisc...its the unedited version, with NO special additions or anything of the sort.  

Han shot first, and Jabba's just a guy you hear about, but never see.

I really don't see the issue, aside from a little quality degredation, but I can live with that.

I <3 TOS.

My friends and I speculated during our playthrough that the Wonderchef was actually the most powerful being in creation.  He could appear anywhere, seemingly travel faster than the speed of sound, and we concluded he should have been a super secret boss.  

Sadly, my friends had left by the time I got all the cursed weapons and fought the one guy who was trying raise Cthuhlu.

That was a tough fight.

But, you have to factor in that Hideo Kojima personally requested that Snake be put in Smash Brothers. That counts for alot, methinks.

Yeah...I remember reading a translated interview where the composer bascially said he wanted to use the orchestra and latin lyrics for all the music in the game.
