Nintendo Gaming / RE: Star Fox Adventures
« on: December 23, 2003, 06:46:30 AM »
I really don't understand the hate for this great game. It reminded me of Metroid Prime, with the hero/heroine landing on a planet, traveling through a hub world and other worlds, trying to save it, and destroy the evil within.

But, anyways, this game is really underrated. I think if you give it a chance, it will be better.

OOT is already re-released on GCN, but I prefer WW anyway. I personally think SMS is superior to SM64, but that is only my opinion.

N64 was OK, and had some memorable games, but Nintendo is really shaping up with GCN and really pumping some quality out, surpassing N64 in each of their franchises. GCN is now tied, with SNES, as my favorite system, and then Sega Genesis, then NES, then the rest!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Worst GCN Games of ALL Time

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is a very underrated game. VG magazines give it 60s and 70s, but it deserved a good 90. However, people complain about SMS's camera, SA2's was worse, but the game was still solid, IMO.

Agent Under Fire was OK, but Enter the Matrix is one of the worst games, ever!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Zelda: Wind Waker was it a let down?
« on: December 16, 2003, 12:33:44 PM »
Yeah! Wind Waker rules! Only LTTP and Ocarina of Time beat it out, in my opinion (while I prefer OOT, I actually enjoyed WW a bit more). It is a really great game, and may very well be one of the best this gen, but it lacked something compared to OoT, and LTTP.

I actually think GCN and SNES are the ultimate Nintendo systems, as alot of NES' games were just unplayable they were so crappy (IMHO). GCN is getting a good amount of third party titles (especially my favorite genre- RPG) while the first-party magic of Nintendo.

Just my 1.9 cents. You got a cent to spare.

Luigi's Mansion=big GCN game of 2001. That honor clearly goes to SSBM.

Majexto- WTF? I think you must mean X-Box!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: How hardcore are you?
« on: December 15, 2003, 01:57:45 AM »
I have 22 GameCube games. Not only do I love going back and playing and replaying them (SSBM, Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, Soul Calibur II- to name a few), but there are PLENTY of already-released and to-be-released GCN games I want as well. The rest of 2003, 2004, and 2005 will decide if GCN will be my favorite system, ever!

I cannot express my love of GCN enough!

But, I find myself to be a complete fanboy of Nintendo. Their games and magic have touched the lives of all gamers who ACTUALLY PLAY THEM.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Baten Kaitos
« on: December 14, 2003, 09:47:58 AM »
Just like Wind Waker- people may hate how the game looks before it comes out, but it ends up being excellent. I can smell the same thing with this (except Wind Waker was about its graphics and Baten Kaitos is about the gameplay).

I buy any GameCube game that interests me, but Bill is right. Alot of third parties have nothing in terms of quality on Nintendo.

Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker- my love of these three games defines my fanboyishness towards Nintendo.

Baten Kaitos looks like an excellent RPG. Definetly on my must-have list.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Return of the King anyone???

The Two Towers was a great game, but Fellowship of the Ring was terrible, IMO. Return of the King is certainly on my X-Mas list.

IGN gave it a 9.6, but IGN is biased and un-trustworthy I don't know. I will probably look at either GamePro or gamers.com for their scores.

This is just what is in my mind and heart!

Nintendo is the true greatness that will live forever!

Just like the old, crappy Atari systems (pre-NES) which were over-flooded with games, I think VG's these days (PS2 and X-Box) will sooner or later go that way, as well- a passing fad! Nintendo, however, will live forever! Sony is just doing what Atari is doing back then, and getting millions of people to buy their system (fads like Pokemon cards, Titanic, Beanie babies, and pogs).

Titanic was a crappy movie! Look at the big phenomenon(although someone will certainly disagree)!

Does anybody else get my point?!?!

GCN is arguably Nintendo's best system yet. With the greatest NES, SNES and N64 games on GCN and GBA, making this generation one to remember.

I have had SO much fun playing SSBM, F-Zero GX, Ikaruga, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, and Viewtiful Joe that they will ALL be memorable classics I will remember for the rest of my life.

Nintendo ARE the high rollers of the gaming industry, as ghostVi said.

I am with Grey Ninja on EVERYTHING! People think that this game sucks compared to previous Zelda games. In fact, the only Zelda game that surpasses this is LTTP.

I enjoyed The Two Towers, and I am fully interested in this.

I hope you can play as more characters.

General Gaming / RE: Console or PC??

I prefer console gaming over PC gaming every single day of the week. Screw PC. I will get my gaming needs from Nintendo.

Everybody seems to think GameCube is crap compared to previous console. Untrue. I think GameCube is better than N64 and NES, and ALMOST SNES. Great system.

The day Nintendo leaves the business is the day I lay board games as my type of gaming. lol.

My last post was a joke.

PC and console gaming really shouldn't be compared. There are SO many more PC games than console games, and there is nothing to compare. The two have different atmospheres, and styles of games.

It's all Sony and Microsoft's fault. oints finger at Sony and Willy Gates:

It's like school social system:

Nintendo is like the smart nerdy kid, Sony is the arrogany popular kid, and Microsoft is the custodian.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Super Smash Brothers? What's the big deal?
« on: December 08, 2003, 12:31:39 PM »
I completely agree with Ian Sane of the first page.

I hated both SSB and SSBM at first, but I came to love both after really getting good at them, especially SSBM. I actually played SSBM first, and then buying the original with lots of interest. SSBM has infinite replay value. From release date from November 2001(?) to December 2003, I cannot put the game down. Everything (character, item + stage select) is completely randomized. I did not buy another game for GCN until March 2002, 3 months later.

I got Resident Evil 0 free with the purchase of a GameCube. Excellent game, and I was unaware of how well it is.

I have now lost all hope and respect for the biased sites that are IGN and GameSpot. A fantastic game like this... 7.9! 9 at least. So... much... fun!
