TalkBack / RE: Nintendo Fifth Largest Company in Japan

I like how Nintendo is bigger than NTT and Honda.
Japan loves videogames more than telephones and cars :P

Why aren't Game Boy games on the VC?  :/

I havn't heard "spastic" used for years... I'm surprised to see it in a game purely because of how dated the word is, and how childish/immature it sounds. Even from when I remember the word last being commonly used, its only by stupid little brats who think it sounds cool. Cerbral whatever was never even a consideration.
It is an offensive word though in the UK. Perhaps I havn't heard it for so many years because no 10 year olds have tried to insult me.

Hopefully not - I need to do my Mario Marathon before Galaxy comes out.. every single Mario platformer on one system!

Just need SMB3 and Yoshi's island, though I don't know if I should include that.

What about the GameBoy SML games?  1 was... okay.  But the second one was pretty cool.

I mentioned those...

We are basically a single game away from having all the console Zelda games, and we do have all the games that fall in the cannon Zelda story.

Blasphemy!

The Gameboy Zelda's are legitimate entries in the series!

Link's Awakening is one of my favourite games of all time.

Does the VC support Gameboy games? I mean, could it support them? Someone should ask Nintendo why they're not putting the classics on VC, like Super Mario Land, the wonderful Super Mario Land 2, Link's Awakening, Metroid 2: Return of Samus,  and hey why not Pokemon Red/Blue while they're at it!

I think the fact that demand outstrips supply is such a good thing for Nintendo, that now that supply meets demand they want to increase demand again. They can say "hey, we can't made DS's fast enough!"

How so? Intelligent Systems developed Paper Mario while Square did Super Mario RPG, right?

But Nintendo owns the licenses to both.

Hey, WuTangTurtle...  I just realised what your avatar is. I always thought it was a made-up Ganondorf with a strange green head... I just realised it is Link delivering the coup de gras on Ganondorf, at the end of Wind Waker.
I've never completely finished Wind Waker     I feel spoiled.

Any news on when the European release will be, yet?  :/

If there's a reason Europe is getting it first, its because many people in the UK love football above breathing.

"I'm more eager for the two N64 Goemon games to reach VC, though."

I never played Mystical Ninja on N64... I wasn't rich enough. X_X

Nintendo is being kinda slow in releasing N64 games on VC.

I'm not happy for the graphical problems. But nostalgia is nostalgia, for better or for worse.

There was a glitch (?) in 'Link's Awakening' on Gameboy, that let you jump over walls and such by pausing as the screen scrolled between squares of the map.
They removed it for 'Link's Awakening DX'

Rare was a success story, not only in getting them at the right time, but letting them go too. It was the right time. Rare was past its prime.

I thought Camelot left Nintendo...?  I'm sure I read that Camelot had become third- and not second-party.

I'm likeing Super Paper Mario a lot better because it's not about taking turns hitting each other.  Your skill is not determained by the roll of a dice.

Make Pokemon more like that and i'll give it a try again.

That is one reason why Mario and Luigi is such a unique series, it has RPG style battles, but your damage is all dependent on your skill. If you get good enough you can almost avoid any damage.

Err... nobody too familiar with the battle system on Thousand Year Door, then? I was blocking those attacks like crazy. Its a great system where your skill and timing is a part, deciding how powerful your attack is and if you block or even deflect your opponent's attack.

About Pokemon...  I WANT!!!!!  I wish Nintendo would get around to saying when it will be released in the UK.

What about a game for the deaf? Eh? Eh?

All the joking aside in this thread, it sounds like a very interesting and fun game. For 2000 Yen, roughly £10, or $what, its a bargain for something so cool.

Its a real nice idea too, gaming for the blind.

Pac-Man VS was made by Shigsy, wasn't it?

I don't think it ever got released here in the UK... even if it did, I didn't want Ridge Racer or whatever it was, and I'd only be able to play it when I got three friends round. Hmm...

Sounds good on DS, thoug.
