^^^ how would a save file help you get custom characters?

The only people I would see this benefiting is people who will try to flick off their second hand GCs when they have no need for them, flood the market and hoard the games, which are no longer in production. Then second hand GC game prices would soar. However, Nintendo doesn’t care about this market at all, the only advantage they could possibly obtain from such a move is if they still manufacture GC games for all the people who just bought old GCs or a new N5 to buy. That would cannibalize software sales for the later console, which is something Sony is willing to do, but Nintendo is much more focused on software.

So I goto PSEurope website the link provides and read about it, and basically
you provide a mock-up illustration of your idea for a new Eyetoy game with a short explanation. They claim it is a World Exclusive contest, however in the fine print the contest is actually only open to about 8 countries in Europe...
Oh how this pi$$ed me off because I had two great ideas:
#1 a lightgun shooting game where you have your trusty lightgun and the eyetoy serves as a detection device for the player. If you're not on the eyetoy camera at all, the enemies wont come out and shoot, but once u appear they will come out of hiding and shoot at you while you attempt to shoot them. Basically it's a virtual Time Crisis game...
You can just imagine the people playing; jumping, ducking, and rolling around crazily all the while screaming and shooting in excitement.
#2 a ping-pong game, you have your end of the table on screen and it is just like the view of a tennis court in regular tennis games, ala linear perspective. So you see the computer player (think of Super Punch Out type characters) at the other end of the table and you play by swinging your paddle back and forth just like real life ping pong. It would be 3d much like Marios Tennis on Virtual Boy, and the view of you would not appear on the screen. (same goes for idea #1, youre not seen on the tv)
So basically I am just upset that I can not even enter the contest. If my ideas were online games, they would be sweet... So now I open up to this to the fellow americans, australians, and other non europeans on the forum, what would your idea be? (arg now you can use my idea for inspiration.. arggg) Also I don't believe Eyetoy can live on if they never go beyond mini-games and showing you on the screen... (note my ideas could be mini games or full blown games) now keep the ideas coming, p.s. im having my ideas copyrighted.
I've played two games exactly like what your talking about in arcades. Both of them were only OK because the sensor things weren't perfectly accurate. In the light gun game i was ducking and i still got shot, and the ping-pong the game said i kept mising even though i thought i hit the "ball" perfectly. So, i guess someone stole your 'copyrighted' ideas even though i played those games like 2 years ago.
yep that's right, those games have been made for arcades... sar cas m
nice of you to make up complete B$ because you hold contempt against me for a post I made towards you weeks ago. where do you get off making up things like that?
besides even IF such games in the arcades existed, my copyrights are for a home console and the eyetoy, which is not connected to arcades. (copyrights for arcades and home consoles are not one in the same) so your point is completely negated... nice try
