LoZ and AoL are STILL difficult, even today. Don't say that just because we get better at video games that that kills the difficulty. That isn't the case. All 3D games, of just about every franchise, just aren't as difficult as the 2D games, regardless of gaming experience.

I don't know about anyone else but to me it felt like ALTTP was easier than Ocarina, or at the most the were around the same in difficulty. It seems to me that 3D didnt kill the difficulty, they just made the series easier after AOL.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: How do you play your FPS?
« on: July 31, 2004, 06:30:27 PM »
you asked the same thing there.......
But, i like to play with walking forward and backwords, and turning on the left stick, and strafeing and looking up and down on the right stick. Never could get used to the 'standard' dual analog setup after playing Perfect Dark for so long. I love that game.

Crazy game My high score is 23 if i remeber correctly, i know it was low twenties Anyone else think the directions were even more confusing than the actual game is? I was reading the directions and i was like "WTF??!!?". There was all these crazy math terms and stuff. I'm not even in high school yet, i had no idea what they were talking about. A simple, "The point of the game is to get the circles to disappear. They disappear when you put the cursor over them. Use traning to figure out how the light bends when you're close to a circle" would have done it for me.

I was wondering where i had heard that name before. It was like killing me as im reading the first few posts (I didn't read the article yet). Then as i read Berny's post about New Grounds I was like "Oh yeah, i've played it, on New Grounds."

Just some Random Trivia of the Day.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: System Settings Loss
« on: July 27, 2004, 10:56:37 AM »
I think the problem is that your little battery inside the Gamecube that remembers the settings is dead or won't charge or something like that. I think the only way to fix it is to replace it.

I just want to point out that i'm pretty sure the previous publishers for both those series have dropped Gamecube support. I only own a Gamecube, so im very happy that EA picked both them up.
Not that that really had that much to do with the discussion, i'm just saying that if EA ,didn't publish them, many Nintendo fans wouldn't be able to play those 2 games. (i'm sure that was the last thought on EA's mind when the decided to publish them, but hey it works for me. )

It seems perfectly fair to me, hating something is showing an opinion, KDR was just expressing an opinion.

I think i read somewhere that if you go into morph ball mode, you cant be locked onto. I thought that was a good idea, adding the whole "Do i want to be able to shoot someone but also get shot? or should I make it hard to hit me, but also very hard to hit someone else?". I'm not sure if this is true though, don't remember where i read it.

It definitely doesn't sound like a big deal in a game like Metroid, where you have unlimited ammo.

That would be pretty cool if the monster thing was invisible, and really strong. It would force you to look at it.

Yeah KDR, i think because all Capcom said about a release date was "winter", and February is still winter its technically not a delay.

Yeah, that was one of the good things about MP, if you wanted a story you could scan all that stuff, but if you didnt really care and just wanted to play the game you could skip all the scanning.

After reading what Mouse said, I "acquired" some of Streetlight Manifesto's songs. Although I do agree with Ian, I'm not very big on songs with horns, I'm really liking A Moment of Silence. Yep.
