Nintendo Gaming / Re: Wii U - The Road to E3 - 6/11/13

Has Nintendo ever had a pressence there?.

Yes. Last year they had a multiplayer tournament for Kid Icarus: Uprising, as well as having a scavenger hunt for people to find and trade the AR cards from the game. They also had playable demos of Mario Tennis Open, Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir, and Mario Kart 7. Visitors to the Nintendo booth also got to see third party 3DS like Resident Evil Revelations, and various eShop games like Ketzal's Corridors, Dillon's Rolling Western, Pushmo and Sakurai Samurai: The Art of the Sword.

I think we are getting sloppy, normally we can derail a topic much faster than that. LOL

PS.  Cops can't arrest you for prostitution if you have no intention of paying (protip from the Secert Service).

I know u were being facetious, but I would like to point out that prostitution is legal in Colombia (where the scandal happened). Try that in LA and u will still get arrested for prostitution.

The game was rated by the Australian Classification Board in January, so it could come here eventually.

Why can I not find any reference to this game in eshop?

Because the game is only out in Japan (hence why the article has the Japanese flag next to the review).

Is this a big deal? From my understanding (and some quick searching), you can unlock this content is GX anyways (albeit through difficult matter of beating all the other cups on Master difficulty). So doesnt this just let you bypass the hard work?

Mainly console, but I play PC games sometimes. And from what i've seen, its really only hardcore PC gamers (i.e. people who play almost only PC games) who try and day something like Counter-Strike is one of the best games ever

1185
LOL, best FPS for online. Those 3 are popular, but I dont think anyone would call them among the best games of all time (for various reasons). The original Half-Life is also highly over-rated (HL2 is better, but I still would not consider it one of the best games ever).

1186
You mean almost none of them? Some have gotten good praise, but best? You can take out DOD and DOTA. TF2 has a small cult following for multiplayer, but I dont think anyone considers it one of the best game of all time. Left 4 Dead seems to have lost most of it's popularity. Etc.

TJ, considering that Wikipedia has them listed together as a series, you are wrong.

Yes, cause some random editor at Wikipedia knows more than the people who OWN THE SERIES. If Wikipedia decides that Metroid and Killzone are the same series, will you say they are part of the same series? I have major problems with the admins there (who like having their power a little too much), and have learned that the people there are stubborn and dont like admitting when they are wrong. But if Nintendo says they are not the same series, I think they are more right than some random Wikipedia editors.

Valve has a better first party lineup than Microsoft or Sony.

Half Life
Day of Defeat
Counter Strike
Team Fortress
Portal
Left 4 Dead
DOTA

Almost all FPS games, and that is pretty much their only games released in the last 15 years. Not a very compelling argument.

(isn't it part of the Excite series? Anyone who knows what Excitebike and Excitetruck were would know that this was a sequel).

Actually, Nintendo said they were NOT sequels to the Excitebike series. They said it was a "spiritual sequel" (like how BioShock is a spiritual sequel to System Shock, which means they are not officially related to each other). So anybody who thinks Excite Truck and Excitebots are part of the Excitebike series would actually be wrong.

Except Luther has shown he IS evil, and merely uses his hatred of Superman to pretend he is doing right. He desires power above anything else, and sees Superman as the threat to that goal. His character knows he is in the wrong, but he doesnt care because he wants power and he wants Superman dead.

If u have a TV made within the last 5 years, you can stream PC games to your TV for very little money (FAR less than the rumored $300 Steam Box will cost) and use your Xbox 360 controller (which most PC games support).

From what I can find, she was not a student when the experiment took place. She got her PhD in 1971, and the experiment took place from August 14-20, 1971.

Steam Box is not a console, it's a gimped PC. It's a stripped down PC, literally, taking a PC and stripping away everything except the ability to play PC games (specifically Steam games). It's a niche product at best, as the only people who would really be interested in it already have the knowledge to play PC games on their TV.

I was talking about Origin as a service, not problems that specific games are having (which is a problem with the game, not Origin itself).

There is nothing wrong with Origin, so Morari's complaint about that is invalid.

However, there is no reason this game needs to always be online, and that is the reason I was not interested in it when they announced it months ago. I want to be able to play the game even when I don't have Internet access.

Please dont use crap like Minecraft as an example. It's not even a game, and he relies on the consumer to do all the work. No creativity on his end and he has not shown any talent for actual games yet.

The Zambardo Prison experiments were worse for only two reasons: 1) they went on way too long; 2) Philip Zambardo ended up marrying his intern (or some ****)

She was actually his girlfriend and not his intern, and she had to show him the reality of the experiment since Zimbardo started to give in to the roles. The whole experiment had to be stopped since 1/3 of the students assigned to the guard roles apparently showed "genuine" sadistic tendencies and many of the students in the prisoner roles suffered emotional trauma.

The European name is so bland and boring, like one of those crappy free iOS games that you might play once and then never again.

Wait, IV starts in the 1800s.

Must be a typo, the game is set in 1715.
