Nintendo Gaming / More E3 News Here!!!!!!
« on: February 25, 2003, 06:54:04 AM »
Too Human is not CANNED, its still under development.
The only thing thats still unsure is when it will be shown and released.
And just to clear up, Eternal Darkness didnt use a modified engine but a subset, but a subset of the Too Human engine, a chunk of the engine. It basically means the same, but I just want to reinforce what an amazing engine and ultimately what amazing graphics Too Human ought to have.

He meant a WIndwaker sequel is bullsh!t.
And I swear Silicon Knights are gonna display Too Human this year, they cant develop it forever and they are obviously working on it.
I know that they are also working on another project which might get released even before Too Human but hell its about time to show some Too Human.

Nintendo Gaming / Soul Calibur 2 Discussion!

I loved the first one, still play it on the Dreamcast, im suche a huge fan i might import it and buy it in august as well!

Now that beats it all
I couldnt do that even if i was rich, why buy the same game twice?
I sure will import the game if I start to gather some cash soon, but dont have a job yet.

I calculated and importing would cost me around 115$
thats alot even for SC2. Have to wait for some reviews, a perfect game deserves perfect attention, would have done the same with Zelda if there wasnt so much text in it.

Nintendo Gaming / What are the plans for Serial Port #2?
« on: February 24, 2003, 08:14:02 AM »
yeah i guess it might go unused
or wont be anything too big
by the time they could release something the next GCN may be already finished

583
ok i cant judge
but while i highly appreciate the advice you people give on game choice
you should still decide yourself which games you want

but i guess advice is really helpful combined with decent reviews

One thing that always interested me is that when we see screens or game footage on gaming sites of games supposebly evolved to their best graphical state also displayed under conditions that the best enhancing techniques are used?
Meaning that basically all footage we see would look only that good on a progressive scan tv that is supplied with component cables?
And I dont mean filmed from screen but direct feed official trailer stuff etc.

well personally i didnt like the "Fludd" (water gun). to me it was just a cheap gimick that was fun for about 5 minutes. also with mario 64 you had a tonne of variety in the levels, from winter, to under water, to lava, to desert, etc. etc.. in mario sunshine it's all set in a stupid tropical island with all these stupid people around selling fruit. everything was just so kiddish. the graphics are not up to par imo. mario 64 set the bar for what n64 games should loook like, mario sunshine simply does not do the same for cube.

Excactly, although it wasnt a bad game, just not what many expected. The FLUDD device made it too easy at some parts, the hovering just wasnt MARIOish. In Mario64 you had to be a very skilled jumper to get plattforms, this time you could correct any mistake you made.
Although there were some stages without the FLUDD (which were really great fun) but not enough. The story, the setting, the gameplay didnt feel MARIO enough. The levels were too sunny and partly quite similar. And what pissed me off most was the fact that there was NO LONGJUMP AND PUNCHES! One might argue that punches arent MARIO but for me they are because Mario 64 was my most played game.

So basically, definetely a very good game, but not good enough to forfill many of our desires. We were depleted from Mario for 6 years and then we get Sunshine, not enough IMO. I was so happy hearing about Mario 128.

Still very worth a purchase though, comes right after Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness and arguably Resident Evil(not IMO).

YES GIVE ME TOO HUMAN!

That game is still my most anticipated ever, or basically just as much as Wind Waker which is an achievement given that WW footage is plentyful whereas no Too Human footage has been shown yet.

Rick when will Dyack appear on the PGC boards? YOu once said he would pop up here aswell soon.
