Considering how much EA loves Nintendo at the moment I wouldn't be surprised if they are working on one right now...

Been working on it since before the release of the Wii.  I remember seeing a demo of Tiger Woods and Fight Night back in September.  In fact, one of my old posts I said which games were in development.

Actually, that brings up a good point.  If the media gets on how disturbingly realistic the violence is acted out, then public interest will maximize.  Isn't that what sold the original in the first place; I didn't hear that it was particularly good.

Bad publicity is still good.  And always has been.

I don't think it's a port.  A completely different studio is working on the Wii version while the Psp and Ps2 versions are being worked on together.  In fact, I think the studio that made the original is making the Wii version.

I used to love Vigilante.  (Yes, I owned the TG16 because I refused to go with Sega while waiting for the Snes)

Kind of like a Kung Fu/Double Dragon hybrid.

That would be great.  But lets not give Konami too much credit for graciously allowing us to play 20 year old games, for a fee.  Sure, it's nice, but we're still paying for old games and they're making a profit on them-again.  Which takes absolutely no effort on their part.  No new major game announcements for Wii on Monday, and I'm done with Konami.

I don't mind the support.  It's fine.  I do mind the selective b title crap.  Konami might as well put out those old Mickey Mouse garbage games they're known for.  There had better be a Castlevania announcement on Monday, or they're written off altogether as far as I'm concerned.

Can we just get a Castlevania announcement already?  Honestly, it's almost becoming humorous the way Konami shuns Nintendo's consoles while selling loads of Castlevania games on the Nintendo handhelds.  It makes absolutely no sense.  They could...eh, should, just throw some 2d classics together for the Wii.

Point and click games need to make a comeback.   This is the perfect platform for it.

’m frankly sick of people using economics and profit as an excuse to defend Nintendo. As if what they’re doing now is the ONLY way to make a profit.

And I'm sick of people complaining that the VC isn't aimed directly at them, as if what they want they should have.  Get over it!  You don't like it, then don't buy it!  I personally have 6 games so far, and will be getting ALTTP and Mario Kart 64.  I'm quite happy with the selection, including the oft maligned Ice Hockey.  Hell, I'll buy Wild Gunmen as well.  I guess it's because I remember those old games you guys like to call garbage, but some, myself included, like them.  Have you played Solomon's Key?  Great game, but since it's not on your AAA list, I doubt you plunked down the $5 on it.

I would prefer a 3rd person adventure to a fps/a.

Oh for god sake....go plug in your old consoles if you don't like the VC releases.  Nintendo fans complain more than Linux users.

I honestly wouldn't mind this...Make it Zelda-ish with more focus on action and I'm totally there...

As long as it deals with Greek mythology, and you can fly absolutely anywhere you want, this game would be incredible.

SCV IV is an awesome game. It's not the same as the modern ones but it's a fantastic action platformer. And the music is AWESOME. Incredibly complex given it was a launch game. Super impressive. Some of the implementation is spotchy, but the composition and midi work is fantastic.

True.  SCIV is an incredible game, and the soundtrack is so good I actually have it in my truck.  Great game.

It'd be embarrassing if anyone saw it. So you'll have to beat it, and it might be really hard.

Anyone who thought the Genesis was better than the Snes had some big time inferiority complex.  Or console envy.  And Sega's ads played upon this fact.

Maybe this is to skirt the issue of Sony owning part of SE.  Maybe that's over with now, but this still smells like a step to allow SE to create exclusive Wii content without all the problems.

I happen to love all of those games (barring the TMNT series).  Deadly Towers was a bitch though.  Where have you gone Broderbund?

Contra was first.  I seem to remember it releasing before Gradius.

And I'm actually interested in all of these.

The first pair lasted about 24 hours for me.  So far I think I have about trhe same amount of time on the second pair, and it's only gone down one bar.  So between 24 and 30 hours.
