TalkBack / RE: Namco Museum DS Announced

Awesome.  Pacman Vs. is one of my favorite games of all time.  Still, I'll probably play the Cube version more than this...

I actually love my Virtual Boy.  It's one of my favorite systems.  It was a total bomb, but a really interesting and very fun system.

I agree, people need to stop complaining about the VC releases being too slow, too mediocre, etc etc.  I don't even have time to play the Wii or virtual console games I have purchased.  If what has been released for the Virtual Console or the Wii is not enough for you, then you seriously need to get a life.

I think it could be great on Wii too.  If it doesn't come out, I'm going to buy a PS2 just for those 2 games.

From Magicbox today:

"- UNCONFIRMED: Bandai Namco will release Beautiful Katamari and Namco Museum Remix for Wii in November and October 2007 respectively. Beautiful Katamari is the latest work of the Katamari Damacy series, and Namco Museum Remix is a collection of Namco classic arcade games."

I hope this is true.  I love Katamari.

Nintendo Gaming / Wii demo units at EB
« on: November 05, 2006, 01:44:29 PM »
Umm, has anybody posted this yet?  Friday night I was walking by an EB and saw a Wii demo unit inside.  Upon running in and drooling all over it, I was told the controller was coming the next day.  Now, I'm too busy to make my way back there and try this thing out, but I'm dying to hear what everyone thinks.  So get out there and do it, people!  Post your thoughts here!  (I'm in Chicago, BTW)

Also, buy my graphic novel, Cry Yourself to Sleep from Top Shelf.  There's a Gamecube in it!

Talk of Baby Bowser has me thinking- wouldn't it be great if their was a weapon that, when used, turned all characters in to their alternate "baby" versions?  I'd dig that.

I'm all for Reggie in the game.  I'd also like to see Fred Savage from The Wizard in the game.

I think it would be cool if, instead of unlocking a game, you could unlock new character sprites for old games, like a custom sprite for each character for Super Mario Brothers.  How fun would that be?

Maybe the next Gameboy will be fully compatible with Rev's wi-fi connection and the virtual console system.  Maybe it will have a very large hard drive or flash drive that you can wirelessly download the virtual console games onto, as well as Gamecube content.  Maybe buying Gameboy specific games would be as simple as taking your system to the store, paying at a kiosk and downloading your game.  Kind of like an iPod.

"think shes the head of the APSCA or something."
Ha!  She's Hillary Duff's older, less-attractive/talented sister.  She's in Napoleon Dynamite.  She's already a has-been.

I don't WANT to go on with my life.  The Nintendo Revolution having a strong showing at E3 was my last chance to inject some happiness into my pale, meaningless existence.  Sob. Sob.

 "There's a strange looking "O" in the "REVOLUTION." "
Here's what I said about this in another thread.
I like the logo, one "O" being larger, representing a standard DVD and Nintendo's new gaming media, and the other"o" being smaller, representing a gamecube disc. Making the Gamecube part of the system so central as to include it in the logo makes me think about the rumors of the next Gameboy being a portable Gamecube. Things are falling into place.

Yeah, I really like the look.  It's a little PS2ish, but very sleek, just as they said it would be.

(and sorry for getting bitchy with you, Dryden)

Dryden, look what you made me do... you made me log in and post.  I NEVER do this.  I just had to say, shut up.  We haven't seen any games yet, how can you whine so much?  Xbox360 games easily look, as others have stated, less than 2x as impressive as Xbox games.  We know Nintendo understates their systems' power time and again, and they always impress in the end.  Please, stop the whining.  I can't take it.  We here are excited about the new system.  If they show games that look like they coud be made on Dreamcast, then by al means, complain away.  You're just killing me here.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:On Even Terms With Xenon and NOT PS3?

Yeah, SMS looked fine.  What did people expect Super Mario SUNSHINE to look like?  Dark, gritty and bump-mapped?  I think it looks very "Nintendo."  I get dizzy looking at some of the levels from the top (like Noki Bay, for example).

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Katamari Damacy for DS

This is the ONLY PS2 game I've ever wanted.  I'm very excited, and I think it seems perfect for touch-screen controls.

I don't get the iPod comparison.  The iPod is an elegant little single-purpose device, not an all-in-one "geek" toy.  (Maybe that lame photo version comes close)  The iPod's interface with iTunes is so seamless and intuitive, and from what I've read, the PSP is totally clunky when it comes to transfering audio and video files (fromwhat I read on IGN).  Let's hope the Play-Yan thing for GBA and DS is simpler.  The PSP really appears to be a jack of all trades, we'll have to wait and see if it is a master of any.

I agree.  I've been dying for a two-tiered Smash Bros sequel since I first heard about the DS.  If they made it, and threw in an online 8-player mode, I'd be so psyched.

People will believe whatever Sony shoves up their butts.  I hear PS3 is going to be like playing REALITY.  Serious.
