Nintendo Gaming / Release Dates?
« on: April 15, 2004, 04:31:18 PM »
Well, analasysts are all suggesting a holiday season release date in the Land of the Rising Sun, but what about state-side?  I mean, Decembers the ideal time for release, so you'd think it would be the same here, but for whatever reason, Japan gets everything first.  So you think we'll have to wait till next holiday season?  I don't know, just a thought...

Well, actually, I highly doubt we'll need to wait that long, but what other times are ideal for release?  Summer, the holy season during which everyone lethargically bores themselves into comas?  Or Fall, the un-holy season when we all go back to hell...or as some know it, school...

I am a tremendous clownboat.

EDIT: PGC is conspiring at us in the form of evil Emoticons.  I swear, it's happening.

"i always wanted to say that"

And I always wanted to hear someone say something like that

Well, Shiggy said it was supposed to come out last year in Japan.  And, you're supposed to have  a lot more freedom, like designing furnitiure and stuff.  Oh, and it exists.

Mr. Von Riktor finds it humrous that there is no "authentic" SUPER 108-IN-ONE.  And, judging by the picture, Mr. Von Riktor bets that that hunk-o-junk is meant for GBAs, and cannot be played on a GBC.  Kind of funny....

Mr. Von Riktor wonders what the hell "Pikachu Land" is.

Mr. Von RIktor thinks it's necessary to  know that when I visited India, Mr. Von Riktor and I saw this pack for sale and both agreed that it was interesting that on all the copies...

A) The box was in a trillion zillion shreds and all beat up and half open.
B) There was no box, most likely cuz the box was too messed up.

EDIT: Dratatoo DOUBLE POSTED!  THE USE OF THE EDIT BUTTON IS CLEARLY SHOWN HERE!  MR. VON RIKTOR HOPES MR. DOG AVATAR IS BANNED BECAUSE HE DOES NOT LIKE DOGS.  AT ALL.  HE HAS A ZERO PERCENT LIKE METER FOR DOGS.

Fresh Prince is still on UPN, you know, Josh N.  And Mr. Von Riktor doesn't really care about this because he gets to share the imported version with me

Mr. Von Riktor feels that jmoe is a genius.

That's exactly it!  This is Nintendo's no-pay plan; it's online, but not.  I think Homeland just kinda leaked...I bet it was to be introduced at E3 to introduce Ninty's "online" plan.

Mr. Von Riktor thinks the plan should be called "teh fun whuzzup aaaaagh"

I just wonder if PSO will support teh fun whuzzup aaaaaagh?

Mr. Von Riktor is outraged by the fact that you guys all get to write video game papers where ever you go to school, while I, his current host, am forced to learn about cirrus clouds.  Well, Mr. Von Riktor suggests looking at Warp Pipe.  Maybe they have a FAQ or something; oh, and look through the PGC News Archives...Mr. Von Riktor remembers that new company (the one that tunnels for XBox) that's jumpin' in for Cube....well, they're site's pretty tech, if Mr. Von Riktor remembers correctly.  Sorry, that's about all the help I can give.

Nintendo Gaming / Use for Serial Port 2 Confirmed by Nintendo of Japan
« on: April 01, 2004, 12:03:39 PM »
Late last night, it was confirmed by our pals at the N of J that the DS will in fact have connectivity features with the purple geometric lunchboxes we all own, the GameCube.  However, in the latest step in Nintendo's plan to rid the world of wires, the DS will come bundeled with a WiFi transmitter that (this is what you've all been waiting for) will be hooked into Serial Port 2.  Personally, the waffle iron would've done just fine...

E3 begins in 39:19:48:22:8

(COURTESY OF GCCAFE)

er...E3 begins in 39:19:48:09:5...

er...ah, forget it.

EDIT: from GCCafe.  "The other day (April 1st to be exact) we posted a news article about the Nintendo DS having connectivity to the GameCube. Now most of us are sure that it will have connectivity in some way shape or form but exactly how is anyone's guess. Well we here at the Café took a shot at just how it would work and our guess might eventually turn out to be more true than we could imagine. Unlike most sites April Fools jokes, which are just complete crap and lies, ours took fact, fiction, and our desires. The fact is that the Nintendo DS does in fact have Wi-Fi capabilities and that Nintendo will most likely try and use it. The fiction is that Serial Port II could be used for anything. Another piece of fact is that Serial Port II could in fact handle a Wi-Fi transmitter. Lastly, our desires are that this new awesome machine will always be connected to our Cubes so long as we are in transmittable distance. Keep watching the Café during E3 week to learn more about the Nintendo DS."

*sigh...* Mr. Von Riktor hopes Nintendo visits GCCafe often.  They can get some ideas.

Nintendo Gaming / When Will the Fantasies become Final?
« on: March 29, 2004, 11:11:21 AM »
V-Jump Magazine (Japan) is reporting a new addition to the off-beat versions of the so-called "Final" Fantasies.  FF: Guilty Wing, the name, is all we know; oh, and it's another GC EXCLUSIVE ^_^.  I hope E3 gets here or I'm gonna pee.  I guess I'd do that anyway, from now till May, but...

1568
I'm not THAT dense, Billy Boy.

I'm just saying...well, think this: "DONKEY KONG MYSTERIOUSLY BEFRIENDS 'FEMALE FRIEND' AT NINTENDO PRESS CONFERENCE; CANDY UP FOR GRABS, DK BECOMES UNEXPECTED FATHER"

All I'm saying is that if I knew what the monkeys were about (which I don't, cuz I know nada Japanese), maybe I'd know something about what Ninty has up their sleeve?

W/E.  I just seriously hope AC goes online; IMO, that's gonna be the spotlight of E3, WW2 and MP2 right behind it.  I just have a question; if AC goes online, do you guys think there should be one huge massive town where everyone in the world lives (if technologically possible), or several towns people can travel to via online?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Zelda for NDS confirmed! Awesome...
« on: March 27, 2004, 10:35:15 AM »
Yes, he spoke of it at GDC 2K4.  But nothing's been confirmed, as far as I know; he just shed the light on the upcoming DS, saying that it would open new possibilities.  That's almost definitely a "Yes," but we knew it was coming anyway.

What relevence do the monkeys have to anything?
